Story
See Courtesy Posting Disclaimer * Meet Red – A Truly Special Dog Looking for His Forever Family Red has been in our care for approximately six months, and his journey has been nothing short of remarkable. He came to us at just 8 months old from an abusive situation, terrified of people, new environments, and the world around him. Thanks to the dedication of our wonderful foster homes, Red has made incredible progress—and he has no idea that he doesn’t already have a family of his own. We have made sure he has always felt loved and safe. Now at 13 months old, Red’s true personality is shining through. He is loving, affectionate, and very playful. He is a happy-go-lucky young dog who wants nothing more than to please his people. His absolute favorite activity is playing ball—and he will happily keep playing as long as you are willing to throw it. Red is obedient, walks well on a leash, and is crate trained and potty trained. He gets along well with other dogs and with children. While he can be a bit shy and cautious when meeting new people, he warms up quickly—especially once you take his leash and go for a walk with him. Because of his past, Red will do best in a home that can offer him love, time, patience, and understanding. He may need a little space and a little time to fully settle in, but he already shows the makings of a truly legendary dog. He is loyal, eager to bond, and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Red is an energetic pup and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard or with an adopter committed to providing 2–3 walks per day. Red is up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention and will be neutered prior to adoption. There is an adoption fee, and a home visit with a two-week trial period will be required—because Red is a special boy and deserves the right family. If you believe you could be that special family, please email charice.johnson@gmail.com or send a message to 865-315-2989 to inquire about adopting Red. Story
Amelia is a fantastic, loving dog who's stolen the hearts of our volunteers - and it's easy to see why. She's sweet, friendly, and adores attention. Whether she's soaking up belly rubs or leaning in for cuddles, Amelia is happiest when she's with her people.Amelia enjoys the simple pleasures in life: sunbathing, car rides, and leisurely walks that bring out her happy trot (which, by the way, is the cutest walk you'll ever see). While she's mostly low energy, she still gets a fun little burst of excitement now and then, especially in the evening. Amelia is the perfect companion for someone looking for a sweet, affectionate dog with a touch of quirky charm. This unique girl is missing one eye and she is deaf, so a patient and understanding home would be ideal. She also needs a home with no small children and no other pets who may startle her.Ask about Amelia's sponsored Adoption fee!Come meet her or apply to adopt here: http://tinyurl.com/ORAS-Adoption-Application Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 70.2 Age: 9yrs 0mths 4wks
