Story
Hi, my name is Betty and I’m a well-behaved, uber sweet and playful puppy.  My buddy Bobby and I were found roaming in the parking lot of a hotel.  After our rescuers had done everything, and no owners found, they called on SCP to help find us a new forever home. I’ll need an active family that also can provide consistent, loving training and discipline and lots of treats.  I'm still young, estimated DOB 2/17/2023 and probably have some pit bull and viszla in my ancestry. I’m 30 pounds now so there’s a good chance I’ll be a large dog once I’m full grown.  I’m really smart and learning so much now that I'm in a home with 5 other dogs and I love to play and sleep with them. I don't seem to mind cats and have been in my foster's cat room and all I did was sniff at the kitty in there.  I’m friendly with everybody, including kids. I’m learning not to jump on people I meet so my new family should continue my training, so I don't knock a small kid down if I jumped on them to give them kisses and nuzzles to show some affection.  I learned how to use a doggie door all by myself and I'm going outside to potty or on rainy days my foster puts down some puppy pads and I use those. I'm not much of a chewer or digger but I will run out a door if it is left open.  I sleep through the night, whether in a crate, dog bed or on some furniture.  My foster is working on my leash training, but since I'm going to be a big dog, that training needs to continue so that we can enjoy lots of new experiences when we go out together to see the neighborhood.  The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, I'll be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud. If you are interested in Betty, please send an email to us!  Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.September 23, 2023, 5:36 pm
