Story
Bruno was rescued from a shelter with less than an hour from having to be euthanized. I had lost my precious Dutch who was 10 to cancer a few months prior. Bruno was just about identical to Dutch. Bruno is a wonderful companion. He loves to take walks, play fetch. He knows several commands such as sit, wait, down, "go potty", find it and more. He thinks he is a lap dog since he is always jumping in my lap and laying his head on my chest. Bruno is on monthly flea and heartworm prevention and is in great health. He would prefer inside rather than out and is a social butterfly. He is more comfortable with the feminine side and takes a minute to warm up. But once he has smelled and given treats and pets he becomes your best friend! Please adopt Bruno so he can live out his life happy and healthy! Thank you!!

Story
Hi, I'm Lisa. This big place with lots of other dogs is my temporary home. I'm a bit shy, so I might take a little while to warm up to new friends. But once I do, I promise to be loyal and loving. I enjoy quiet moments, perhaps sitting by your side while you read or watch TV. I dream of a peaceful home where I can feel safe and loved. If you're looking for a gentle companion to share calm days with, I might just be the perfect match for you. Let's make each other's lives a little brighter.

Story
Note from La Porte Shelter before transfer in: Fraya is a young, happy girl with lots of love and personality to share! At just 1 year old, Fraya still has that fun, playful energy while also having a sweet and affectionate side. She enjoys being part of the action, whether that means going for walks, playing outside, splashing in water, or settling in for cuddle time. Good with: Kids 5+, teens, adults, and seniors. Home style: Can do well in both active and calm homes. Dog notes: Has done well with large and small dogs, male and female, though she can be slightly dominant. Loves: Walks, runs, cuddles, and water play. Training: Knows basic skills. Spayed: Yes. Fraya would be a great fit for a family or adopter ready for a fun, affectionate dog who enjoys both adventure and snuggles.

Story
Since getting to know Ms. Stormy over the year she has been with us it has become apparent with her goofy personality and sheer tenacity to love others as well as other dogs-we've decided to give her a more playful name that matches her spirit - Joni :). She is doing MUCH better on a leash- and is not as apt to pull anymore. She has beautiful brown eyes that will look deep into your soul for any kind of smile. Ms. Stormy is someone that will love without apprehension- that wants every stranger to be her friend. Joni is close to our hearts because no matter what - she always has a smile! We think in her past she was probably a daddy's girl :). She's very snuggly when it comes to males. She wants so much to be loved- and will always love you more first. We introduced to an office setting and Ms. Stormy did not once use the potty inside. Ms. Stormy always uses the bathroom on walks and when she is outside :). Her zeal to meet strangers always overcomes her bashfulness- We are not certain if Ms. Joni has lived in a house before - but we are certain that she is a people pleaser- and wants to impress everyone around her with her manners. Hello there the adoption fee is $30.00 CHECK ONLY it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 30 day window can be extended however A VETS LETTER IS NEEDED TO EXPLAIN THE REASON WHY. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!

Story
Zues is an amazing dog. He loves to chill and hangout buy he does have a playful and energetic side. He will greet you at the door (without jumping) and loves to be pet. Super big into head and ear rubs, he even does the cute dog leg taps when you do. He’s honestly just a really good dog. Barely barks doesn’t really destroy stuff (he did chew a couple cords but learned to not do that). He loves walks, I rescued him in south Houston. He was abandoned and looked terrible but I treated his heart worms. It’s also important to note he does seem to have some skin allergy issues. He stinks a little. I bath him with this medical shampoo but he has a little problem scratching at himself so his skins been looking a little rough. I put him on allergy pills which helped but I ran out so he’s back to scratching and I hope he can find a home that helps him feel his best! He’s really is such a sweetheart you will love him!NOTE: skin issue from environment allergy. Will need to be treated. NO CATS
