Story
Matilda is a sweet soul! She is definitely laid back. She was in a local shelter long-term and through many foster home placements, we learned she really needs a home without other dogs. That makes it SO hard for a dog like her. Besides that, she's an angel. Her sleepover home mom said she loved to follow her around the house and really enjoys bathing in the sun. Could you be the perfect laid back match for Matilda? Contact us to learn more about this special dog! Local & Nationwide Adoptions Welcome Local adopters are always welcome and encouraged! Story
This is Trace- and although he came in a skinny and scared stray- he is one of the bravest dogs staff have ever met. This sweetheart warms up to anyone immediately - and automatically goes for a lap or a hug with a kiss. Trace is slowly fattening up- and munches his treats heartily. His mission in life is to be with you- and will guard you with his heart and all his might.

Story
Since getting to know Ms. Stormy over the year she has been with us it has become apparent with her goofy personality and sheer tenacity to love others as well as other dogs-we've decided to give her a more playful name that matches her spirit - Joni :). She is doing MUCH better on a leash- and is not as apt to pull anymore. She has beautiful brown eyes that will look deep into your soul for any kind of smile. Ms. Stormy is someone that will love without apprehension- that wants every stranger to be her friend. Joni is close to our hearts because no matter what - she always has a smile! We think in her past she was probably a daddy's girl :). She's very snuggly when it comes to males. She wants so much to be loved- and will always love you more first. We introduced to an office setting and Ms. Stormy did not once use the potty inside. Ms. Stormy always uses the bathroom on walks and when she is outside :). Her zeal to meet strangers always overcomes her bashfulness- We are not certain if Ms. Joni has lived in a house before - but we are certain that she is a people pleaser- and wants to impress everyone around her with her manners. Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!

Story
We call him Skoog as it the Swedish word for forest and every time he sees a trail or patch of woods he wants to run and explore. He learning to a be a gentleman with strangers even though he is overwhelmed with joy at the idea of licking a new face! He knows sit and might give you some paw - but one thing he will always give to you in abundance is his love and attention. Skoog has been with us for nearly two years- but NOTHING has brought this pup's spirit down. Please be patient as he's picked up a few quirks- but what is certain is that this dog wants to LOVE and be loved.
