Story
Name: HoneyBreed: Pittie mixApproximate age: 7-8 yearsApproximate size: ~60 lbsGood with dogs? Yes! She loves all our other dogs. Big dogs and smalldogs everyone is her friend. She does not really play with other dogs but greatly enjoys their company. She does not care for puppies being in her face and will low growl.Cats? Unknown, but we can test her Kids? Yes! We have 5 kids, ages 7-17. I trust her with any of them. She is very sweet and kind even when she is nervous. She is extremely tolerant. How are they doing with potty training? She is completely house trained. How are they doing in their crate? She does not mind being in her kennel. She is a very good girl, and when we are gone she stays in a bedroom with one of our other dogs. She isn’t kenneled very often.Energy level? LowAny issues with guarding? No. She willingly moves away from her food when dogs or people approach.Leash reactivity? No. She does get nervous on walks, but is much better than she used to be.Fearful? Yes. New situations and fast movements or noises send her scurrying into another room.Aggression? NoneSeparation anxiety? NoAnything else you’d like to add?Honey has likely not been treated kindly in the past. She has heightened nervousness most of the time. New situations are hard for her. When she is nervous she removes herself from the situation and goes to another room. Her nervousness never comes out as aggression. She needs an adopter who is patient and kind and willing to give her lots of time to continue to adjust and understand that she will never be hurt again. She is more nervous around men but has come to initiate contact with her foster dad and older foster brother. Honey would do very well in a home with a very stable dog that could be her emotional support. She would do fine in a home with kids, but I think younger kids would be hard for her bc of their loudness and quick movements. I think Honey might always be a more nervous dog, but she has come a long ways and will likely continue to improve. Despite her anxiety, she is extremely tolerant and gentle. She loves to be loved on and will make an excellent companion for a very patient family.

Story
Alexander is a 2-year-old, handsome pup with a velvety light tan coat and soulful eyes that will melt your heart. Rescued from a parking lot where he was found seeking safety, this gentle boy has a sweet and sensitive nature. While Alexander initially arrived with a canine companion, he’s now ready to shine on his own and find a home where he can truly thrive. Alexander is a special dog looking for an experienced owner who understands how to guide and support a pup who needs a little extra confidence. His insecurity can make him nervous around strangers, so he’s not suited for a home with small children. However, with patience, structure, and lots of love, Alexander is sure to blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. Though he can be shy at first, once Alexander feels safe, his loyalty and sweet nature truly shine. He’s a dog who will bond deeply with his person, ready to be by your side through life’s ups and downs. Alexander is eager to learn and grow, and he’ll thrive in a calm, structured environment with someone who can help him build his confidence. Fostering Alexander is an incredible way to make a difference in his life. Scout's Honor Rescue covers all fostering expenses, so you can focus on giving him the care and love he needs. Are you the experienced dog owner Alexander has been waiting for? Open your heart and home to this gentle soul and help him become the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He’s ready to start his new chapter with someone who believes in him—could that be you? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143March 23, 2025, 11:25 pm

Story
If you would like more information about Kisses or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to elizabeth.campbell92@yahoo.com I found Kisses at an abandoned house in spring 2023. I had nowhere to take her, so I continued to visit and feed and water her until I had built a shed with a fenced yard. Kisses is fixed and up to date on all vaccines. She is heartworm negative. Kisses is a happy dog but is also quite reserved. She has never liked head pets very much, just dodges them, but she has come to like very meticulous scratches around the ears. She approaches tail wagging but stops when receiving pets. She is sweet; it just takes time to learn her love language. She’s very skittish around yelling and likes to hide in corners. She’s very eager to show you “shake”. She’s very motivated with food. She’s aware of her smallness and is eager to reach the food before others. When Kisses is excited to see you, she cries a lot. It’s very cute and I call her Crybaby Kisses. Giving kisses is her love language rather than tail wags. She also eventually comes around to belly rubs. She did not like my puppy at first who was very in her face with licks but as many times as she snapped at her, she never hurt her. Kisses is a little timid around new dogs, but she comes around pretty quickly. I think she would really prefer to have a playmate in the home with her. I haven’t had much trouble clipping her nails and the vets say she’s a good girl. I am awaiting DNA test results. Story
My name is Junebug.   I am around 5-6 years old and am a bulldog or maybe a bulldog mix. My favorite activities are lounging, eating, and belly rubs!  Although I’m 65 pounds, I would love nothing more than to sit in your lap and stream your favorite show!  I love snuggles and would prefer to be the only dog in the home receiving them.  I’m a sweet, goofy girl that loves a routine.  At times,  I can get over-excited but I’m easily corrected. I can also be a little bossy so someone who has dog experience and can properly correct me would be good.  A home with adults only would be the ideal fit for me. I’ve been with Scouts Honor for a long while and truly deserve a forever home!    Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs January 27, 2025, 7:33 pm
