Story
Cash, a 2-year-old American Pit Bull, was brought to the shelter as a stray. He's a total lover...a friendly and outgoing guy. He waits patiently at his kennel door to be let out into the yard to engage with the other shelter dogs. Cash knows a couple of basic commands but does still need some training and help with walking properly on a leash. He enjoys long walks, giving kisses and getting snuggles. He is okay with most dogs but would likely do better in a home without cats since he is afraid of them. Cash is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.

She has been doing amazing potty training and will occasionally use pads during the night. Edyn is ready to embark on her next adventure: finding her forever home! With her charming looks and a heart full of love, Edyn weighs in at 13 lbs of pure sweetness. Could you be the one to make her tail wag endlessly? Story
PLEASE READ IN IT'S ENTIRETY. Meet Eddie! Eddie is a 9 week old, horse mix. .lol. No, but really a pit mix. Eddie did not get his name because of his size but because of his personality, and he trods, runs, and walks like a horse. So, our first was Mr. Ed, when we seen him but then with his personality, we thought of Eddie Haskell from "Leave it to Beaver." And that is how Eddie got his name. What we know about Eddie so far is that he is funny like Goofy, loves to eat like Pooh loves his hunny, walks like a Clydesdale horse, plays like Tigger, and so much more!! Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Story
PLEASE READ IN IT'S ENTIRETY. Willy Wonka here yes you may have heard the name before my amazing foster siblings named me after their favorite movie Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. But don't worry I'm not crazy like the movie. I'm a big snuggle bug and would love nothing more than to be with you. I would enjoy a family who would love to take adventures with me and cuddle up on the couch after a long day. I'm currently working on kennel training and potty training in general but don't let that scare you I'm still a baby and will accomplish anything I put my mind and heart into. My foster family can't wait to tell you more about me and share tons of pictures. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.4/1/24 Still available! 1/14/24 We need to know why this very handsome boy hasn't had any interest in the year that we've had him listed. This dude is special. He is really everything you could want in a companion. He is kind. Loving. Affectionate. Great with other dogs. Good with cats, too. Loves all people, including kids. Mookie (formerly Snoopy but we have changed his name because we have another Snoopy) is all the things. He is about 1 1/2-2 years old and he weighs 75 lbs. That's 75 pounds of squishy love. He is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash (he pulls a little because he is eager to explore his world, but this is something he's working on). He enjoys car rides so if you want an adventure buddy, Mookie is your boy! There is nothing bad we can find about him... so why has no one wanted him? Is it because he's a pit bull (mix)? He promises not to hold your heritage against you, no matter what it is, if you'll promise to do the same for him. He doesn't know his breed scares some people, he just knows that he loves everyone. Is there someone that can look past his breed and see him for the giant, loving, squeezable boy that he is? If you might be that person, please reach out! He has waited long enough. It's time for him to find his family and start the rest of his life. Mookie available for adoption or foster. Give him a chance and you'll be glad you did! **any negative comments about the pit bull breed will be deleted immediately. AASR does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am FridaysPort Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
