Story
I'm a cutie pie who can't wait to find a new home with toys and treats and fun adventures! It would be perfect if I even had another doggo friend to go on those adventures with because sometimes new places or people can be intimidating. With a bff there by my side it'll be easy to work through my worries and learn to be a confident pup! I've also heard that positive reinforcement training classes can be pretty fun and can help with building confidence!Medical history: I appear to be a healthy dog, but it's always a good idea to meet my new vet as soon as possible to establish a good relationship.Weight: ~26 lbsIf you'd like to meet me, click the "Learn About the Adoption Process" button below to plan a visit to the shelter!Adoption fee: $425 + tax

Hi, I'm Rosalyn, and I certainly live up to my namesake! I'm just a little rose. It's taken me some time to get my bearings here at the shelter, but I've been known to warm up and get wiggly. Yummy! Jelly Roll! That's me! A sweet treat, a very friendly and social dog who is very wiggly (and sometimes jumps for joy) and ready to play with you. I do have some scars over my body which indicates that I had not-so-pleasant interactions with another dog(s), so I'd prefer to be the only dog or go very, very slow with positive interactions to help me learn that my new dog room mate is happy and fine with me. Come by and see if I'm the sweet heart you have been searching for!Medical: I appear to be a healthy adult dog. I have started some anti-anxiety medications for my stay here at the shelter to keep me comfortable during my stay. I should meet my new vet shorty after adoption to keep me on the pathway of good health.Adoption Fee: $375 plus tax

Story
Jessie is being fostered in FL Jessie is a very sweet boy with an unknown history. He was found as a stray and brought to the local shelter. The shelter was very scary for him, and he became depressed and stopped eating. Luckily, he found a foster home and is doing well! Jessie is now ready for his adoptive home. Jessie's foster mom says even though he's not a cuddler, he loves attention, and loves to be petted and stroked. He also loves toys, and one of his favorite games is to take all of his toys out of his toy box for his foster mom to put away! He also loves to chew Kong toys. Jessie is very quiet and rarely barks. He's not a fan of storms, though, and will give a low bark when he hears thunder, just in case you didn't know there was a storm! He IS a fan of neighbors! He loves greeting his neighbors (both people and other dogs!) through the fence. Jessie does very well with other dogs, and a home with other dogs is recommended because he loves to play. In the beginning, he was curious about the two cats he lives with, but is now great with them. Jessie's foster mom calls Jessie a very "considerate" dog. He's a gentle boy and does not push or play rough with the two other dogs in the home. If you're interested in adding Jessie to your family, please fill out an application today. He can't wait to have his very own family! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Faith is being fostered in Louisiana. Faith likes to play with her foster siblings and tug of war is her favorite game. She likes to play outside and run around, but she likes to sleep in the bed and cuddle next to you when she sleeps. She is independent and can keep herself entertained. Faith seems to learn quickly. She’s built like a running back and will push through doors if you’re not careful. Food and treats are definitely a favorite! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Penny has been waiting for a home in Wisconsin since January! Yes, Penny is a pitty mix, and this breed is not adopted quickly like a doodle, lab, or golden retriever. Pitties sit and wait patiently, hoping maybe today will be my lucky day. This girl LOVES her people. She wags with excitement from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. Are you looking for a girl who will love you for who you are and never judge? Penny is your girl. We need to find Penny her forever home. She is 45 lbs, completed her heartworm treatment down south while not having her forever home. Penny needs to be an only dog. She never was properly socialized with other dogs. She is great with humans. No cats, she thinks they are a fun chase toy. This girl deserves a family that will love her and enjoy some cuddles along with a forever commitment.

5 words that describe Gem:1. Hippo2. Goofball 3. Lovable 4. Loyal 5. Happy Gem is adjusting to life in Wisconsin wonderfully! It took her a couple of days to come out of her shell, but now she enjoys playing with her foster sisters, going on walks, and playing with toys. She’s so silly and makes me laugh daily! She does great with the kids in the home (5,7,9) and has had zero reaction to the 2 cats in the home. She is 100% house and crate trained. She’s a big girl with a hefty appetite, so she’s on a pretty strict diet, she is also recovering from a knee injury, but doesn’t let that stop her. She spent the last several months in a shelter in Oklahoma, and before that we’re not sure. I’m guessing she hasn’t had an easy life…. But this girl is so sweet and lovable and deserves the best! Check her out at Be My FurEvers! www.bemyfurevers.com 517762DS ##1772982##

Introducing Tutti, the lovable Boxer mix with a heart full of affection and a zest for life! Hi, I'm Tutti, a spirited and affectionate Boxer mix ready to bring joy to your life! With my charming personality and playful nature, I'm the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and loving pet. I absolutely adore my humans and thrive on cuddles and quality time together. Whether we're snuggled up on the couch or enjoying a leisurely walk in the park, I'll be right by your side, wagging my tail with excitement. I find great pleasure in the company of my loved ones and will shower you with endless affection and loyalty. One of my favorite pastimes is chasing balls and toys. Throw one my way, and I'll happily engage in an enthusiastic game of fetch. I'm always up for outdoor adventures, so count me in for long walks, hikes, or exploring new places. The fresh air and open spaces truly bring out the best in me! If there's another furry friend in the house, I'm sure we'll have a blast playing tug of war together. I thrive in the company of larger canine companions, and their presence brings out my playful side. Having a four-legged friend around helps me feel even more content and fulfilled. I take pride in my impeccable house manners. I am housebroken and have mastered the art of kennel training, though I must admit that I have a soft spot for the couch or your cozy bed. After a day full of activities, nothing makes me happier than curling up beside you for a well-deserved snuggle session. If you're looking for an affectionate, fun-loving, and loyal companion, look no further than me, Tutti! Together, we'll create cherished memories and embark on countless adventures. I'm ready to become an integral part of your loving home and bring an abundance of joy and companionship into your life. So, what are you waiting for? Let's start our incredible journey together! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above. Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Since they are still puppies, dogs under 1 will require a basic obedience and puppy training class, and spay/neuter at the owners expense.
