Story
Hopper is a ball of happiness and energy, always ready to leap into an adventure with his big, hopeful heart. He’s the kind of pup who’ll greet every day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail, but there’s one thing missing: a home to call his own. Despite his playful nature and boundless love, Hopper is still waiting for the perfect family to give him the love and stability he so desperately deserves. He has been waiting for a home to call his own for over for a year now... Hopper came to us from a crowded shelter in Ohio, a bit underweight and unsure of what the future held. But with every ounce of love and care he’s received, he’s thriving and back to a healthy weight, ready to take on the world. He’s quick to learn new things and is working hard on his basic commands and manners. This sweet boy has already shown us his love for walks, and he’s even had a chance to visit an elementary school where he charmed all the kids with his gentle, outgoing personality. While Hopper is a social butterfly who loves being the center of attention, he’s also a cuddle bug who’ll happily curl up next to you after a fun day of play. He’s looking for an active family who can match his energy and loves a good laugh from his silly antics. But beyond the playfulness, Hopper’s heart is full of love, and he longs for the warmth and security of a family to call his own. Sadly, Hopper doesn’t get along well with other animals, so he would do best as the only pet in the home. He needs someone who will be patient with him, helping him grow into the star he’s meant to be. In return, Hopper will shower you with affection, loyalty, and endless joy. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion who will brighten your days, Hopper might be the perfect match. Come meet this lovable boy today and see how much love he’s ready to give. He’s waiting for his forever family – could it be you? 💖 All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Story
Bindi is a sweet, playful, and loving puppy who may have had a unique start to life, but she doesn't let anything hold her back! After being transferred from Winnebago County following an injury, Bindi has become a tripod, but this hasn't slowed her down one bit. Full of energy and joy, she’s ready to share her heart with her forever family. While Bindi is still learning the ropes of life, she is a true puppy at heart—wild, clumsy, and full of love. She loves to play, but she’s still working on understanding when older dogs aren’t in the mood for playtime. She would thrive in a home with a dog who enjoys playtime, as it would help boost her confidence. A dog buddy who is open to play would be an ideal match for her! Bindi is crate-trained and is still perfecting her potty training, which may have been impacted by her recent surgery. She’s making progress, and with patience and love, she’ll continue to improve. Though Bindi is a big chewer, she sticks to her bones, bully sticks, and Greenies—not household items—so she’s easy to keep entertained and content. She does enjoy a playful nibble but she understands when you say “No, ouch, and no bites.” Despite her wild side, Bindi is the ultimate snuggler! She loves sleeping in the bed, especially with her favorite human, a 5-year-old boy. There's nothing she loves more than being close to her family and soaking up all the love and human touch she can get. Her eyes are incredibly expressive—those little "human eyes" make it clear exactly how she’s feeling, and it’s easy to get attached to her sweet face and personality. Bindi's spirited and affectionate nature shines through, proving that no challenge is too big when you have a heart full of love. She is looking for a forever home where she can be treated with the love, care, and attention she deserves. Whether you're up for an adventure or just lounging on the couch, Bindi will be by your side, ready to share all of her joy and affection. If you're looking for a resilient, loving girl who can bring endless joy into your life, Bindi may just be the perfect fit for your family. Come meet her today, and let her show you the incredible bond you can share with this sweet girl! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Julien is an absolute dreamboat! Not only is he a slam-dunk in the looks department, he's mastered the "puppy eyes"; and just sucks you in with one look. Julien is sweet as can be, just melting in your hands and showering you with kisses. This kid is a master snuggler, and his tail never stops wagging. Although Julien does totally fine with other dogs when a barrier such as a fence or kennel door is involved, he would prefer not to share your attention and be the only dog in his forever home. Julien came to us with many scars on his face and legs, so we're assuming he may have been attacked in the past and understandably feels a bit nervous around other dogs. Julien has spent some time in our staff offices, as he's a favorite around the shelter. He loves to help with office duties and make sure everyone stays on task. After a few minutes of exploring, Julien settles in and lays on his bed all stretched relaxing. Julien is one fantastic pup, that's for sure! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Zuko is a lovable and playful pup who has been through a lot, but he’s now ready for a fresh start with a loving family. After healing from some skin issues, he’s almost completely recovered and just needs one final surgery to be fully healed and free to enjoy his new life. This sweet boy adores playing with toys and showing off his playful spirit. He’s also incredibly well-mannered—sitting nicely for treats and taking them gently. Zuko’s unique and gorgeous eyes, each a different color, make him even more special and truly one-of-a-kind. Zuko is looking for a home where he can continue his recovery and receive the love and attention he deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who’s ready to share his heart, Zuko might be the perfect fit for you. Come meet him today and see how amazing life can be with him by your side! Meet Ziggy...Ziggy is a smart, striking pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! She loves people and isn’t shy about showing it—but on her terms. Ziggy enjoys attention and affection, though she can get a little overexcited during petting, so she’ll do best with someone who can read her cues and help her settle when she needs space.Around other dogs, Ziggy is curious and social, but her greetings can be a bit... enthusiastic. She may come on strong and doesn’t always understand doggy etiquette, so a slow, supervised intro to other pups is best.Ziggy does have a bit of an adventurous streak and has previously escaped from her yard, so she’ll need vigilant supervision outside—even in fenced areas. She’s not the kind of dog to be left alone in a backyard, but she’ll thrive with someone who wants to include her in daily activities. If you’re looking for a bold, loving companion who will keep life interesting and your heart full, Ziggy may just be your girl.Medical: Ziggy is an overall healthy dog who would benefit from meeting their new vet as soon as possible to get a clean bill of health. Introducing Tutti, the lovable Boxer mix with a heart full of affection and a zest for life! Hi, I'm Tutti, a spirited and affectionate Boxer mix ready to bring joy to your life! With my charming personality and playful nature, I'm the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and loving pet. I absolutely adore my humans and thrive on cuddles and quality time together. Whether we're snuggled up on the couch or enjoying a leisurely walk in the park, I'll be right by your side, wagging my tail with excitement. I find great pleasure in the company of my loved ones and will shower you with endless affection and loyalty. One of my favorite pastimes is chasing balls and toys. Throw one my way, and I'll happily engage in an enthusiastic game of fetch. I'm always up for outdoor adventures, so count me in for long walks, hikes, or exploring new places. The fresh air and open spaces truly bring out the best in me! Having a four-legged friend unfortunately isn't going to be in the cards for me. I'll do best in a home where I am the only pet. I take pride in my impeccable house manners. I am housebroken and have mastered the art of kennel training, though I must admit that I have a soft spot for the couch or your cozy bed. After a day full of activities, nothing makes me happier than curling up beside you for a well-deserved snuggle session. If you're looking for an affectionate, fun-loving, and loyal companion, look no further than me, Tutti! Together, we'll create cherished memories and embark on countless adventures. I'm ready to become an integral part of your loving home and bring an abundance of joy and companionship into your life. So, what are you waiting for? Let's start our incredible journey together! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
