Draco is a very good boy with a wonderful, easygoing personality. He does great in a crate when you need to step out and is well-mannered on walks. He understands commands and is overall a well-behaved, eager-to-please companion. He’s done well with teenagers and shows no concerning behaviors around people, strangers included. At the Sanctuary, Draco has been around dogs of all sizes and ages and has done wonderfully with everyone. Cats are still an unknown for Draco and would likely require some guidance and training, so a cat-free home would be ideal for him. When it’s time to relax, Draco is all about the cuddles, especially during TV time. He enjoys toys, though he’s perfectly happy to skip them if something more interesting is going on. He has a medium-to-low energy level, making him adaptable to many home environments. Handsome, loving, playful, and gentle, Draco has a beautiful soul and an excellent demeanor. He’s truly an all-around great dog who’s ready to make someone very happy.

Nova - 4 years old - Pitbull Terrier - 54 lbs. - up to date on vaccines until 7/24/2027 Nova is an affectionate and polite sweetheart who goes with the flow. She would love a home where here humans are around to keep her company. She relaxes and naps with her kennel door open while her humans are away and she does not get into things. Nova doesn’t have any destructive behaviors. She is, however, frightened by thunder storms, which she takes Trazadone for a few hours in advance. Nova sleeps through the night and is fully house trained. She is a snuggle bug who is calm and curious, with a very playful burst of energy when prompted. Nova gets along very well with people and she isn’t shy as long as she is approached with consideration of her blind spots. Nova has a genetic condition that resulted in the removal of her left eye. It is unclear how well she sees out of her right eye. While it’s clear that her vision is compromised, it doesn’t slow her down at all. Nova startles easy due to her compromised vision. Therefore, with appropriate intros, she has the potential to like children and other dogs that are calm and considerate of this. Nova is food motivated and has the ability to learn. At this time, she does not know any tricks but she is very polite and easily redirected when she gets excited. Nova tends to stay right by her person’s side, likely due to her vision. Though, she does occasionally get distracted by chipmunks and toads. She walks like a dream on a leash and will even stop to smell the roses.

Meet Twix - He is a 3.5 yr old American Bully weighing in at 80lbs of solid brut. Twix is UTD on vaccinations and recently recovered from double TPLO surgery (human equivalent ACL surgery.) Twix has spent the last 5 months in surgery and recovery and is now ready to spend his years just being a dog with a high prey drive and a high intelligence for learning new things. Once he knows he can rely on you he only wants to make his people happy! Due to his size and energy level, he would do best in an activate family with a fenced in yard and older children. During his time in foster, he has been learning calming behavior, place and wait are now part of his every day life. Twix is learning how to meet dogs but it needs to be a very SLOW process as he gets too excited and doesn’t know how to go slow. Has no experience with cats but his high prey drive would lean him to not be in a home with small animals of any kind. Twix is extremely food motivated and that is definitely the way to this boys heart! He is crate trained, and his house manners are amazing.
