Kascia is another chipped stray whose owner said they were coming, but never did. Kascia is young, active, and so much fun. We don't know why her tail is cropped but it makes her butt wiggles even cuter to see that little numb going a mile a minute. Story
Holly’s story is unfortunately like so many others.. She was in an overcrowded Texas shelter at risk of being euthanized simply due to space. She had just had a litter of puppies, was emaciated and nursing. Holly is extremely sweet, but does need you to go at her pace. She can be nervous meeting new people, men in particular. She prefers you play hard to get and ignore her. Then she will look to come say hello to you. Once she feels safe she quickly warms up and becomes your shadow. Fast movements and loud noises make her nervous as well, so an active person with a quiet home would be best. She is very playful and jumpy but can also be a couch potato. Due to her nervousness she needs to be in a home with no small children. She does well with dogs and cats.May 8, 2024, 11:11 am

Story
Saylor: 4 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is a medium sized dog with a big smile. She is a playful girl. She enjoys playing with toys and other dogs. As much as she loves to play with other dogs, Saylor wants all the attention for herself and would probably prefer to be the only dog in the home. She shows a little bit of resource guarding towards people with other dogs. It is manageable and she does respond well to corrections. If you have other pets and are interested in her, just keep that in mind and be willing to continue working with her. Saylor loves kids of all ages. She’s fixed, utd on shots, crate trained, and house broken.

Story
Meet the one and only Miko! Miko is a super sweet boy who loves people and seems to genuinely enjoy being around others. Miko gives kisses, loves belly rubs, and enjoys taking long walks. His passions include: tennis balls, playing with other pups, and treats. We've learned that Miko loves playing with most other dogs and likes running zoomies with friends, especially through mud puddles. Miko also loves water and enjoys "bobbing for apples (tennis balls)" in our dog/kiddy pool. This smart boy knows some basic commands and definitely has the potential to learn more. Miko lived with children previously and would prefer a home without another male dominant dog. Please fill out an application to meet this handsome boy! Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html)- Our shelter no longer has open visiting hours, so a pre-approved application and scheduled appointment is needed prior to meeting any of our animals.

Story
As we highlight our Nervous Nelly puppies today, we can't forget Paisley! Paisley came from the same situation as Kyra back in November. Like Kyra and Hola, Paisley has been very slow and hesitant to trust people but absolutely loves other dogs. Paisley on the other hand, does seem to be taking a few extra steps in the right direction so far but that doesn't mean we're out of the weeds yet. Very recently Paisley has started following the other dogs into the fenced portion of the yard, and doing great at doing her business while out there! That's not to say we still don't have our share of accidents indoors. But, it has been a massive improvement. Paisley even looks and starts to come inside when foster mom calls for her and her friends. The key is Though, do not stand next to the door when she wants in. Avert your eyes and pay no mind or she'll run the other way! Our new favorite pastime is snuggles on the couch. Her massive milestone was not only no longer running away if foster mom came to sit down too. But, now Paisley will hop up on the couch when her foster is already sitting down! Once she even sees the other dogs getting extra attention, Paisley slowly wiggles her way closer hoping for loving too. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Just don't make it too obvious. She's more nervous than a teenager on a first date. Paisley will gladly take treats and seems to forget she's a scary cat, if you're enjoying a snack to yourself by her. Her daily enjoyment comes from antagonizing the crabby dogs here. The louder and grumpier they yell, the better! Like the others, Paisley will need a very very patient and understanding home. A fenced yard will be needed as she will not move an inch on a leash yet. You might as well tie off to a boat anchor. &#226&#154&#147&#239&#184&#143 adoption fee 400.00 May 8, 2024, 11:11 am
