Story
Name: Waverly Age: 3 1/2 Breed: mixed breed - pit/lab Gender: female Weight: 42 lbs Good with kids: not fostered with children Good with dogs: yes! Good with cats: not fostered with kitties in WI but was said to be good with them at her previous foster home Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Foster location: Waupaca, WI Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Waverly’s story is a beautiful reminder of why Our Pack Animal Rescue’s motto, “No Mom Left Behind,” means so much. Last summer, her precious puppies made their way to Wisconsin from Alabama (pictured here) but Waverly couldn’t join them just yet. She was heartworm positive and needed time to heal. Through months of treatment, Waverly never gave up, and neither did we. Now, her patience and perseverance have brought her to this moment—healthy, happy, and finally here in Wisconsin! This petite, sweet mama is ready for her next chapter, and as you can see, she couldn’t be more excited to find her forever home. Waverly has waited a long time to feel this kind of love, and we know her perfect family is out there, ready to give her all the happiness she so deserves. Waverly is a good girl in her foster home. She is fostered with other dogs, eats well when fed with them and hasn’t been destructive when out. She’s one polite mama! She’s kenneled when foster mom is gone during the day but at night she prefers to sleep kenneled where she can see you or her favorite is sleeping with you! Unfortunately, Waverly did test heartworm positive again upon arriving to WI so she’s beginning her second round of treatments. At this time, due to her heartworm positive status – Waverly will only be available for adoption through a foster to adopt arrangement.January 18, 2025, 1:41 pm

Name: Jet Age: 9 weeks Breed: Pittie Mix Gender: male  Weight: 5 lbs Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unknown  Current on vaccinations: Yes Foster location: New London  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Please welcome Jet to Our Pack. He has just landed along with his 3 sisters cutely nicknamed the airline litter. They were dropped off at the shelter as strays and estimated at the time to be about 6 weeks old. Jet is the feisty little piggy of the group! He isn't afraid to be vocal and remind you not to forget him over his sisters. He is the first to come running for dinner and the first one to eat your shoes, even while you're wearing them. But he is also very sweet and snuggly.  He is just starting kennel training and is not potty trained, but has begun hitting a potty pad when it's available. Jet is good with other dogs and likes kids, but needs to learn all puppy basics such as not jumping, nipping or eating everything in sight.  Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved.April 14, 2025, 5:43 pm

Story
Name: Bear Age: 7 years young Breed: Pittie mix Gender: Male Weight: 60 # Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes, prefers low key that won't get in his face Good with cats: not fostered with cats Current on vaccinations: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Appleton  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Found as a stray wondering the streets of Texas Bear has been with our Rescue partners since December. He isn't a young puppy more like a distinguished gentleman. He appreciates the couch more than playing in the backyard but he seems to enjoy watching the others play. While he is a laid-back boy he isn't going to let you slide on attention, he will remind you with a gentle paw that he wants to be loved on and will melt you with those eyes. Bear appreciates his kennel for down time and seems to understand that the outdoors are where he goes potty and likes to keep his house clean. Bear was a very hard boy for his Texas foster to let go and only did it so they could continue to foster and hi Wisconsin foster home already sees why.  Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.May 1, 2025, 3:08 pm

Story
Name: Elf/Elfie Age: 3 years Breed: Pitbull mix Gender: male Weight: 55 lbs Good with kids:  not fostered with children Good with dogs:  Yes Good with cats: not fostered with kitties Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Foster location:  Waupaca, WI Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Over three years ago, two tiny Christmas puppies named Elf and Angel arrived in Wisconsin, eyes wide with wonder and hearts full of hope. They were just babies—curious, joyful, and dreaming of forever. And not long after, they both found what every rescue dreams of: a home. For Elf, that home was everything. It was all he’d ever known. He grew up there. He gave his heart there. He believed it was forever. But forever, it turns out, had an expiration date. Not long ago, we received a message that no rescue ever wants to get. Elf’s adopter told us her priorities had changed—and that she could no longer keep him. Just like that, his world fell apart. We welcomed him back to Our Pack without hesitation. He’s safe now, and we’re doing everything we can to help him feel loved again. But Elf is grieving. He’s confused. Heartbroken. Still waiting by the door for the life he lost. Because here’s the truth: when you return a dog, they don’t just adjust and move on. They mourn. They struggle. They look for you in every window, every doorway, every passing car. Elf doesn’t understand why his world changed overnight. And he’s searching—still hoping to see the person he thought would always be his. And while we wish we could explain to him why the only home he’s ever known disappeared—why he wasn’t “enough” to stay—we can promise him this: a second chance. One where “forever” really means forever. When he was returned, we were told Elf has had seizures—and we’ve now seen them in his foster home. They’re heartbreaking to witness.    Elf is now caught up on his vetting and is beginning seizure medication.  Thank you Our Pack! But there are bright moments too: Elf is incredibly friendly, delightfully goofy, and happiest when he’s right by his people.  He's smart and already learning the routine of the house, and loving his walks! We’re happy to report that Elf’s sister, Angel (she has a new name now!) featured in Elf's puppy picture, is living the good life in her forever home. Stay tuned for more on Elf. He’s looking for the love he lost—and we know it’s out there.April 10, 2025, 12:59 pm
