Story
Sox is a good cat, that would be best going to an owner with some experience with pets. He is a bit of a loner, and likes to just chill around the house, but he does not like kids. My wife and I have a 3 1/2 year old, and the cat has never taken a liking to my daughter. Now that we have another child on the way, we feel it best to find a more suitable home for our cat. He loves to play, and especially likes batting around balls or caps on the floor, playing with a laser, and we try to take him out on his harness on occasion for fresh air. He is an indoor cat, but he likes to hang out on patios outside, especially in the warmer weather.

Story
We got Lily when she was a kitten, some neighborhood kids were trying to drown her before my brother stepped in, i think around 2014-15.She hasn’t really been around dogs or other cats so we don’t know how she is with them. She’s a cuddler and a talker. She loves to sleep above your shoulder or just on you, and she has a thing for hair, she’s fallen asleep in my hair multiple times. That toy in the picture she has had since she was a kitten, that’s her wolfy. My brother was supposed to take her when he moved out but ended up just ghosting her sadly. I could not take her because my fiance is allergic and has 2 big dogs but i see her every weekday. She stays with my grandma and mom (has dementia) in a back room all by herself. I hate it and feel so bad. I feel the stress of that has made lily’s health go down. She vomits sometimes and is losing fur. Grandma already has so much to deal with that a cat isn’t her priority. We are hoping to find her a good home before looking into shelters.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Prince is a orange tabby with a handsome coat and face.  He is approximately 5-7 years old. He has lived in a shelter  for a number of years after his owner passed away.  Prince is a very cautious guy around new humans but loves the company of other cats. He has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter. He enjoys being brushed, rubbed with scatcher, and petted on his back. He loves Fancy Feast too! Prince would be consider a "socially awkard cat".  What is a socially awkward cat?  Some cats are shy, timid, or fearful of people and other cats. They may hide, avoid, or even lash out when approached by strangers. These cats are not mean or unlovable; they are just socially awkward and need extra time and patience to trust and bond with their human companions. They may never become affectionate lap cats, but they have their own unique ways of showing love and appreciation. If you are looking for a cat who will challenge you, surprise you, and reward you with loyalty and devotion, then you might be the perfect match for one of our socially awkward cats.   Because these cats require more patience and understanding than most, we have a few special policies regarding them:   We will ask more questions about your home environment, other pets, children, and other details to make sure you are the right match for the cat. Please don't be discouraged if you are not the right fit! We have many other cats, and one of them is sure to be a fit. We typically arrange video meet-and-greets for these cats for the initial contact. Most of these cats get stressed out by new situations, and allowing them to be seen without that stress trigger makes for a better experience for everyone. We may discount the adoption fees for these cats. Our first priority is to find the right match between cat and human, and we realize that these kitties may take more time than most to settle in and determine compatibility.   If you think you may be the right fit for Prince or another one of our socially awkward cats, please fill out an interest form today!  back to topVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    Our adoption fee is $175       If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Cat Interest Form on AZRAIN.ORG and, if you are selected as a prospective adopter, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet. Thank you for considering rescuing an animal in need!     July 25, 2024, 10:17 pm

Story
Here is a pretty girl. Cleopatra, the Queen of denial, was born May 2nd 2021 and was spayed and vaccinated Nov 10th, 2021. She is a big girl who can be a bit adorably dramatic at times, talking to you in a some what loud voice. She likes to chase flies and wrestle with a kitten, she loves toys that roll. She has no time to acknowledge the old dogs she lives with but mostly likes to chill on the couch or by the arcadia door. She loves to sit on your lap and have her head scratched. She is very loving yet independent. She is an indoor cat who, because of my and my daughters allergies, needs to find a loving forever home, and would be a great addition to any ones family. We feed her Friskies dry and canned twice a day. She is a great cat. And would be a great companion.

Story
Hi, my name is Tony and I'm GREAT! Tony is a big boy, born April 5, 2022 in a litter of 5. He was fixed and got his shots June 20, 2023. He loves belly rubs, petting and being carried. He is very active, and adventurous. He is very fast and always playing. He still lives with one of his brothers, Hissy Fit, the two are constantly playing together. He likes most of the cats he lives with except 2 of the females, who are fixed, I have not put them together now that he is fixed too so I don't know if things changed. He was born indoors and has never been outside. He would be a great addition to some ones family.

Story
Hissy Fit is a Boy born April 5, 2022. We named him Hissy Fit due to him hissing at anything and everything since he could walk. He was fixed and received his shots June 20, 2023. He is extremely adventurous, there is something in the drain that he is always getting into the sink to find it (what ever it is). He loves to play with the other cats especially his brother, Tony, or by himself. He loves to be pet when it's food time, he can be held but not long and he is trying to get away to play. We used block the stairs as a no go zone but he jumps the boxes and would go anyway. Very active and very fast. He was born indoors and has never been outside. I think he would be fun to have him for his independent spirit.

Story
Mayhem is a male born Mar 17,2021 and he was fixed and received his vaccinations Aug 11, 2022. Mayhem is a very loving cat that likes to be with you, getting pets, booping and kissing. He is an indoor cat who has only been out for the Vet. He does get scared in new surroundings and has to hide or get back to his bed, He once managed to sneak out to the garage and after being left out for a minute he couldn't get back to the bedroom fast enough. He needs patience and understanding, if you can do that for him you will have a loving friend for life.

Story
Lawyer was born March 25, 2023 in a litter of 4. We called her Lawyer for 2 reasons, we didn't know she was a girl, and she objected to everything, she growled at her toys, her food, other cats (even if they were across the room asleep) and mostly she objected to me lifting her tail to see if she was a boy. She is healthy, playful, extremely (and even annoyingly) loving, always climbing into your lap to cuddle. She was fixed and received her shots Jan 16. She is an indoor cat that has never been outside. She loves to rub on the dogs, who are not aggressive so she doesn't have the fear she needs. She likes toys but mostly loves hanging out with her humans. She would make a wonderful addition to a loving family.
