Story
___ "Chonk" is 7 years old and an indoor-only cat. He's laid back, and very affectionate. ___ He likes to sleep near you, just a little under the covers. ;-) He 'trills' at you to 'talk' to you, and sometimes to wake you up for attention. ;-) ___ He's the best snuggle buddy ever with a sweet temperament. ___ He will tolerate a dog that's not hyper and that will ignore him. ___ He has "issues" with vacuum cleaners & brooms - he hisses at them and will hide. ;-) -- I'm hoping for a new owner who will keep Chonk forever, and care for him the way he deserves.

Story
___ "Girly Girl" is 7 years old and an indoor-only cat. She's very affectionate once she gets to know you. ___ She isn’t a bed-sleeper, but likes to sleep in a cat cushion on a table. She'll be around you if you work from home, laying on the desk near you, and putting her head on your arm while looking up at you adoringly with her big beautiful eyes. ;-) --- She 'chirps' at you to 'talk' to you. And though she doesn't like to be picked up much, she'll need to be where you are. --- She doesn't like brooms or vacuum cleaners, and will hiss, run, and hide until the terror is over. :-)

Story
Domino is a great cat; the perfect mix of attention seeking/purring, playful and aloof. We are trying to train him on a harness/leash, and he's comfortable in the car in his kennel, great at the vet. He does very well being left alone day/night; he knows how to entertain himself, but also loves being played with. He loves food and treats and wants to please. Domino deserves a home where he can roam and play, so we are trying to find him a good home. I think he would do well with adults and kids, and possibly a dog. He is very personable when meeting new humans and super sweet. I can't emphasize enough that he is a good cat, and I'm sad to have to adopt him out, but he deserves somewhere he can be more a part of a family. He came to us one day as a stray and literally walked into our home screaming to be fed. He was definitely a housecat before that. Unfortunately, he and my male cat do not get along, so I'm not sure how he would do with other cats. Otherwise, he's good for a new home.

Story
She’s a sweetheart, I found her 4 years ago in my old neighborhood and started putting food out and gave her a bed on my front porch. She would wander during the day and come back every night. I got her rabies shots early on but haven’t redone them. I moved and took her with me, eventually bringing her inside the house and she’s definitely a house cat now! Got her shots the first year or so and haven’t in a couple years now but she’s healthy and happy!

But he’s very loving and he’s a sweet cat and loves attention and loves to sleep with his Humans, his age he’s 8 years old not sure what his birthday is though but overall he’s a cute cat and is very affectionate and happy cat, he can be grumpy at times though (Fair warning you he does meow in the morning for food around 6-7am and his feeding times at night is 7pm on the dot ) feed him every 2 days food in the morning and food at night. (Hope you like him 🧡).

Story
Smokey is a rescue kitty from a kitten nursery. He was found underneath an abandoned couch in someone's alley. At the time of rescue he wasn't weened from mama kitty but was abandoned. He went to a kitten nursery where he grew, thrived and made friends with another kitten. I adopted both him and his new sister in September of 2020. In December of 2020 he ventured into the yard where he was attacked by a feral cat. He sustained an injury to his chest wall which required surgical draining due to infection. He physically recovered from the injury and has grown into a beautiful grey adult. However, due to the attack he seemed to develop PTSD and would no longer bond with the other two female cats in my home. Smokey wants to be an only cat in the house. When separated from my other cats he is lovable, playful, snugly an affectionate. He seems to see the other cats as taking love away from him. He needs a new home where he can be the king of his household. He wants solo love and affection.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Prince is a orange tabby with a handsome coat and face.  He is approximately 5-7 years old. He has lived in a shelter  for a number of years after his owner passed away.  Prince is a very cautious guy around new humans but loves the company of other cats. He has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter. He enjoys being brushed, rubbed with scatcher, and petted on his back. He loves Fancy Feast too! Prince would be consider a "socially awkard cat".  What is a socially awkward cat?  Some cats are shy, timid, or fearful of people and other cats. They may hide, avoid, or even lash out when approached by strangers. These cats are not mean or unlovable; they are just socially awkward and need extra time and patience to trust and bond with their human companions. They may never become affectionate lap cats, but they have their own unique ways of showing love and appreciation. If you are looking for a cat who will challenge you, surprise you, and reward you with loyalty and devotion, then you might be the perfect match for one of our socially awkward cats.   Because these cats require more patience and understanding than most, we have a few special policies regarding them:   We will ask more questions about your home environment, other pets, children, and other details to make sure you are the right match for the cat. Please don't be discouraged if you are not the right fit! We have many other cats, and one of them is sure to be a fit. We typically arrange video meet-and-greets for these cats for the initial contact. Most of these cats get stressed out by new situations, and allowing them to be seen without that stress trigger makes for a better experience for everyone. We may discount the adoption fees for these cats. Our first priority is to find the right match between cat and human, and we realize that these kitties may take more time than most to settle in and determine compatibility.   If you think you may be the right fit for Prince or another one of our socially awkward cats, please fill out an interest form today!  back to topVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    Our adoption fee is $175       If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Cat Interest Form on AZRAIN.ORG and, if you are selected as a prospective adopter, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet. Thank you for considering rescuing an animal in need!     April 19, 2024, 11:04 am
