Story
Bo or Beau (meaning in French “good-looking”) would be a handsome complement to the right family. He is needing someone who is confident, looking to get involved and show him the boundaries and define the expectations, who is able to structure healthy interactions. Beau is a powerful dog in mind and spirit, and he is looking for the right fit - an assertive pack leader to bond with who provides him with guidance and the needed, positive assurance and reinforcement. Beau is a Good Boy wanting to please his human and, of course, it must be a symbiotic relationship. Beau, like many children, will put it to the test to see what’s allowed and if he can make more decisions on his own. His pack leader will help Beau navigate these decisions, so he feels comfortable while facing certain situations such as dealing with other dogs or door rushing. Energy control and responsiveness is on the forefront as Beau learns the dynamics of his new relationships and proper introductions - it gets better with every encounter when the pack leader understands his beautiful personality and temperament, staying mindful of guiding Beau to be his very best with people or dogs in social settings. He does well with other dog introductions when given enough time to know them, but the most guidance needed will be when meeting dominant or stressed dogs, particularly other assertive males. If an encounter becomes tense, Beau will easily go into a crate or dog run to rebalance; he can be crated next to other dogs without incident or reactivity, it serves as a den to calm and adjust him. A few times he was confronted with a dominant male where separation was appropriate, and his trainer was able to leash and bring him away without a struggle or argument.     Beau has a transition coach who will be available by appointment to share with his adopter the key points to structuring a positive outcome. Training may refer to the dog – but you’ll agree that a big part is for the benefit of a pack leader who recognizes how to face the phases of development and growth. The lifelong commitment between the two is dependent on building a solid foundation. And if there are other dogs, Beau’s playfulness and adaptability will require skilled management, patience, and time to integrate the pack. Beau is up to date on his shots, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his special meet & greet day with a potential fur family. He thrives on a natural, whole raw meat and food regimen. Also included in his adoption are two consultations discussing his nutrition and biological balance. Beau is in Menifee, CA. Story
Meet this sweet goof boy rescued from the shelter as an neglect case. This cutie pie came to us terrible emaciated, but is gaining weight. Once Gabriel gains enough he can be neutered.  Even as  an intact male, he is sweet, playful boy and  still blossoming too.  Gab is walking on a leash now, great with other dogs, all sizes, crates inside his ex pen. Doing his business outside like a good pup.  He oozes with  love, play and would make a great family dog as well.  Shelter had him at 5 months, our vet had him at 2-3 years since it was hard to tell from his emaciated state, coming into the shelter and into our rescue.  Gabriel was only 20lbs at the shelter but is closer to 25 plus currently, may top out at 30- 35lbs . So a small guy with a lotta love to give and wants to please...  For more information on Gabriel aka WallyGab contact 949-842-2517 His foster will be happy to tell you all about him.  To submit an application for adoption go here: http://greendogfoundation.com/application-for-adoption/April 24, 2024, 2:26 pm

Story
sweet boy who needs an experienced ownerMeet Blue Blue is a strong and loving 5 year-old Staffie Mix. He is a compact guy weighing about 55 pounds. Everything was going along great for him until his family broke apart. He was then moved into an apartment complex, where they do not allow dogs, so the owners thought of the great idea to lock him up in a bathroom while they are at work. As you can imagine that was not a great solution, so luckily a family friend became aware of this solution and brought it to our attention. Since that time, Blue has lived in foster homes and has been to training. He becomes very attached and can be protective.  He is affectionate, loyal, obedient, moderate temperament and smart. He is also a bit stubborn and needs a strong and firm handler to keep him controlled. He is a blue nose with a silver-blue short coat. He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He is lovable, playful and will make a great family pet for anyone. He is also gorgeous to boot. Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a two-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix ( maybe mixed with Husky due to his beautiful blue and green eyes). He is the happiest boy with an incredible disposition. Buddy loves going on long walks and just loves being with his “people”. He has spent several months living with a trainer and several other dogs and has done amazing. He loves the water and other dogs. He is now in a foster with two other dogs and doing well. Once he’s in a home with a yard, he can decompress and play and let out his energy. Buddy has had extensive training and a trainer will come to the adopter's house to work with the family and show what he can do. He would do best with an active family. He was rescued from the Riverside shelter where he shared his kennel with another dog. He’s a love bug that is so deserving of his loving forever home. Buddy is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, had a blood panel and a full clean bill of health. If you think you are the right family for Buddy, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab so that we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on all our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez. If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short and/or long-term doggie foster families. We greatly appreciate the help and time of our fosters. You provide all the love, comfort, and safety of a home and we supply you with everything else you may need, dog food, dog bed, toys, medical attention (if needed), etc. If you are interested please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their fur-ever home and complete the foster application.April 22, 2024, 1:34 pm

Story
Affectionate and Loving Meet Sandy!   Sandy is a 1-year-old super-loving female pup. She wants to be friends with every big dog, little dog, and cat as long as they are okay with her. If not, she will give them their space. Sandy likes to be part of the action and is always very curious to see what everyone is doing and what everything is. You can clearly state, that she has a big case of the 'Fear Of Missing Out'. She’s calm inside the house but once in the yard, she runs her daily zoomies to provoke someone to chase her or to chase critters coming into her yard. Sandy's still learning how to be a dog so she’s working on walking on a leash because she never had a walk but learning pretty fast. She is eager to please and is happy to get positive praise and reinforcement for her good work. She’s submissive and shy at first but warms up pretty quick to everyone around her. Update 9/7/22 Sandy has been living with our trainer and has been doing great! She gets along and plays well with the other dogs and has become more comfortable meeting new people. She will have a lot of training under her belt when she goes to her forever home!   If you would like to meet sassy Sandy, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. Story
Affectionate and LovingWedge is an amazing 10-month-old with so much potential to be a great dog for any family! He does well with older children and other friendly dogs. He enjoys rough-housing with his foster sister and plays very nicely with the family's older dog.  Wedge is a snuggler and loves couch privileges while still doing very well in his crate.  His current foster family fell in love with him super fast and are absolutely heartbroken to have to let him go. He gets uncomfortable around strangers and is working with a trainer to help him gain confidence and work through whatever happened to him before he came to us. The trainer is positive that Wedge's training be successful. He just needs a home with stability and patience.  His current foster has a busy schedule and young children which aren't conducive to his need for consistency. He just needs more time to settle in, as all rescue dogs do, to feel secure, and gain confidence, and he will be an amazing addition to any Loving family! The foster family does think Wedge would do best with older kids. He loves being played with and loved on. Another dog in a secure backyard to make Wedge feel safe would also be ideal. He's an active puppy that would benefit greatly from walks.  He is best in a calmer home as he does have some fear issues so a family that has people coming and going may be too overstimulating for Wedge, Wedge needs people to be introduced to him in a way that makes him feel safe. We do encourage Wedge's adopter to provide him with structure, stability, consistency, tons of love, and continued training to set him up for success. His trainer will help Wedge's new family with 2 training sessions at no charge.   If you are interested in meeting Wedge, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez.   Adoption fees for puppies under 1 year are $500, for young to adult dogs $400, and for our senior dogs $300. All fees include all vaccinations, fecal testing, wellness exams, microchipping, and spaying or neutering.   If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our  pups. Story
Meet Apollo! Apollo is a gorgeous 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He’s the absolute sweetest boy and is currently in a foster home with 3 small breed dogs, and even a cat.  Apollo weighs 77 pounds, and only wants to please his loved ones and wants to be part of a loving family. He’s walking fabulous on a leash, ( using a pinch for now) and he’s been getting training by a professional dog walker to help improve his walking skills.  Apollo is amazingly behaved in the home and is crate trained, rides well in the car, and loves everyone that loves him. This sweet angel had a rough start in life due to his drug-addicted original owner. Thankfully, a relative took Apollo under his wing and has given him a loving temporary home, where Apollo felt safe & loved.  The relative is in a small apartment and already has more dogs than he should, so we urgently need a loving forever home for Apollo.  He’s neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Apollo received his fecal test and a wellness exam and is ready for his happily ever after!!!!  We absolutely adore this sweet soul. If you are interested in meeting sweet Apollo, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. Story
Meet Avia! Sweet Mama Avia is all done being a mom to her 14 adorable pups and is ready to find her forever home. We believe she’s a young Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Avia is very smart and also a quick learner. She knows sit, lay, and leave it. She also knows her name very well and let’s you know when it’s time to go outside. She’s a huge cuddler and loves to sleep next to her foster mom. She loves playing and chasing balls but not really into bringing them back. She’s super polite and gentle when you hand her treats. She’s a great walker and doesn’t pull on the leash. She does get startled by joggers, bikes and scooters and sometimes barks at them on walks but with a little training that is something she can learn to grow better accustomed to. She’s looking for her forever family to smoother with kisses. ***************************************************************    Interested in adopting this pet?
