Story
Gorgeous 7-year-old Bebe urgently needs her loving foster or forever family. This sweet 62-pound angel has had a tragic past, and we want to make sure Bebe lives a beautiful life filled with love and happiness going forward. Bebe’s previous owner died of an accidental overdose, and Bebe was found lying next to him, she ended up being confiscated and was taken to Downey shelter. We were asked to help sweet Bebe by an acquaintance of her previous owner, so she wouldn’t be euthanized. Bebe arrived with a horrible cough, that ended up being pneumonia, and she had to be hospitalized, and she was shut down, confused, and brokenhearted. Bebe is thankfully, over her pneumonia, but stuck at our vet boarding, and needs a loving home so she can decompress and receive the love and attention she so greatly deserves. She’s opening up and we are seeing life back in her eyes and her sweet demeanor and personality shine through. Bebe loves going on walks and will love having a yard so she can bask in the sun. Please help us help beautiful Bebe by fostering or adopting. Here are some words from her current foster: Bebe is a loving dog who gives warm kisses and loves big hugs! Her tail wags often with affection.  She LOVES to be with people! She’s excited to run and play fetch with a tennis ball or toy, chase after water from the hose, sunbathe in the yard, and rest in her cozy bed. She is a perfect walker and she’s generally not a barker. We have introduced her to a friendly dog.  She was very excited at first but then she settled in and both dogs walked nicely next to each other. She was not aggressive.  If you're interested in adopting Bebe, please fill out an application at www.doggiebonez.com. You can also check out our social media pages on Instagram (@Doggie_Bonez_Inc_) and Facebook (Doggie Bonez) to see more of Bebe's cuteness. Story
Affectionate and LovingWedge is an amazing 10-month-old with so much potential to be a great dog for any family! He does well with older children and other friendly dogs. He enjoys rough-housing with his foster sister and plays very nicely with the family's older dog.  Wedge is a snuggler and loves couch privileges while still doing very well in his crate.  His current foster family fell in love with him super fast and are absolutely heartbroken to have to let him go. He gets uncomfortable around strangers and is working with a trainer to help him gain confidence and work through whatever happened to him before he came to us. The trainer is positive that Wedge's training be successful. He just needs a home with stability and patience.  His current foster has a busy schedule and young children which aren't conducive to his need for consistency. He just needs more time to settle in, as all rescue dogs do, to feel secure, and gain confidence, and he will be an amazing addition to any Loving family! The foster family does think Wedge would do best with older kids. He loves being played with and loved on. Another dog in a secure backyard to make Wedge feel safe would also be ideal. He's an active puppy that would benefit greatly from walks.  He is best in a calmer home as he does have some fear issues so a family that has people coming and going may be too overstimulating for Wedge, Wedge needs people to be introduced to him in a way that makes him feel safe. We do encourage Wedge's adopter to provide him with structure, stability, consistency, tons of love, and continued training to set him up for success. His trainer will help Wedge's new family with 2 training sessions at no charge.   If you are interested in meeting Wedge, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez.   Adoption fees for puppies under 1 year are $500, for young to adult dogs $400, and for our senior dogs $300. All fees include all vaccinations, fecal testing, wellness exams, microchipping, and spaying or neutering.   If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our  pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome  new short or long-term doggie foster families. We much appreciate the  help and time of our fosters. You provide all the love, comfort, and  safety of a home, and we supply you with everything else you may need,  dog food, dog bed, toys, medical attention (if required), etc. If you  are interested, please visit  www.doggiebonez.com  to see all of our  available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their fur-ever home and complete the foster application. Meet Molly – Waiting Since November 2022. After years in the shelter, Molly has been patiently waiting for her forever home since Nov 2022. This sweet, middle-aged girl is ready to finally find her person. Once she warms up, Molly becomes your little shadow—loyal, loving, and always nearby. She thrives in a structured home where she knows what to expect. Confident and strong-willed, Molly needs to be the only dog in the home, but in return, she’ll give you all of her love. She’s potty trained, kennel trained, and sleeps soundly at night. She enjoys toys, treats, and her daily walks—which are the highlight of her day. Despite being mellow and independent, she’s also playful and cuddly when invited onto the couch.Molly did have a suspicious growth diagnosed as malignant skin cancer, likely caused by sun exposure. She’ll need to wear a sun shirt when outside, but the good news is her recent X-rays show it hasn’t spread. If you’re an experienced dog person looking for a loyal companion—full of love, ready for adventures, and happiest curled up beside you—Molly might just be your girl. She is located in Southern CaliforniaInterested in fostering or adopting Molly? Story
Valentina was surrendered to PuppyPromise Rescue July 2024 after her owner went through major life changes. Following a divorce and a diagnosis of liver failure, her owner lost her job and could no longer care for her four dogs. Sadly, Valentina’s vaccine records were lost during this time, so she has been fully re-vaccinated.She came to the rescue with her medium-sized brother. Valentina is playful and fun, she loves water, squeaky toys, and going for long walks. She knows basic commands and does great with smaller dogs. We’re not sure how she does with cats yet.As a power breed, Valentina needs a home with a family who understands her breed and is ready to give her the love and commitment she deserves. She’s already lost one family and is hoping for a stable, caring forever home.March 7, 2026, 3:29 pm

Story
Vader was adopted from us 6 years ago and recently returned. His skin was in bad shape but he was still such a happy little dude. A petite little bulldog at only 44#. We have had him on a regimen for his skin, regular baths, oral meds, salon dog food and he is doing great!  His smell no longer enters the room before he does!  He is the sweetest most wonderful bulldog. He’s fun, cute, stubborn and all the other things you would associate with the breed. We feel like we failed him the first time he was adopted out, so he needs someone that really knows and loves this breed. Someone that enjoys the maintenance they need on the regular.  If you are that person please fill out our application at www.carmaoc.org. You can call or text any questions you have as well. March 8, 2026, 8:40 pm
