Story
I'm Flash Gordon, a 4-year-old, short, stocky male American Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs 91 pounds. Housetrained, I am very happy, playful, like to be active, am on the shy side, love to hang on the sofa with you, and can be silly and goofy. I live with a family with another dog and TLRD did this thing they called a 'cat test.' I passed, whatever that means. They are super awesome - they have taken me on lots of trips, like to Morro Bay or up to the mountains. I really like those trips and I love to have a job to do. I also like to be protective and need to learn that it's not my job - it's the human leaders' job. Are you up for that? I hope so!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Story
Meet Miles - 75 pounds of great dog! Miles 4.5 years old and is in need of a new home because his dad passed away from cancer and now he is all alone because his doggy brother also passed away. His home has been sold and the new owner said miles could stay but has to be kenneled outside every day, all day. Miles would really love a warm heart and and a warm indoor bed to crawl into every night. He's obedience trained and has some trick training. And he's eager to please when he's not being lazy, and he's a really cool dog. He's a talker and very expressive. He loved his walks, car rides, watching TV and being a couch hippo and hopes he can find the perfect forever home where he can love all those things again. We think he's a staffy/lab mix. But just a guess. He would be better in a home with no small animals. His dad's wishes was for Miles to have some land to roam on, but this oversized potato would be fine almost anywhere. He really just wants attention and craves it more now that he is all alone and sitting in a kennel. He can be stubborn and have selective hearing, as many dogs can. As you can imagine he has been a bit depressed and truly praying for a new human to love him like his daddy did. Are you ready to give Miles all the love he needs.IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MILES, PLEASE CONTACT JENN AT nerfherder1221@gmail.com OR 661-874-5432July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Story
Jasper’s foster family has this to say about him: “He is the best dog; he’s such a love bug. He loves humans of all kinds. He knows basic commands - sit, stay, lay, place, and “in” for his crate. It’s rare he goes in the crate since he’s the best dog ever! He’s great on a leash and wants to meet every dog within reach. He’s a whole body wag kind of pup. His favorite thing is lying in bed with his human and his second favorite thing is lying on the couch with his human.” Jasper is one happy 66 lb. hunky doggie. Around 5 yrs. old, Jasper is just a fantastic pup. He’s a great mix of gentle, calm, confident, silly/goofy, sensitive, and smart, and he loves to please. While he loves his walks, he also loves to balance that out with many cuddles!Who are Jasper’s ideal companions? He’s good with other dogs and shares toys and treats with his foster dog siblings. Jasper has lived with cats, and, on occasion, he has chased them. Since he’s a big boy, Jasper would do best with older, respectful kids who understand how to engage with a dog of his size. As Jasper’s foster family says, “He is the best dog.” If you’re ready to meet Jasper, cuddle with him, and let him charm you just like he’s charmed us, please fill out an application today!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Hi I’m Oreo! I am a very good boy, I know how to sit, shake, place and I'm an excellent listener. I like treats and take them very gently. I am about 65 pounds of lovin'! Seriously, I'm a people lover I am good with other big dogs; little dogs are very scary, and cats…I don't really like those stranger critters. I'm being treated for a skin allergy and will need consistent weekly medicated baths for the rest of my life, but I hope that doesn't scare you away. I enjoy my baths and will love them even more with you. Who wants to meet me and be my best friend furever? You do? Fill out an application today!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Story
Hello there, I'm Bridget Bones, your potential best friend! I'm an adult, but don't let that fool you, Snuggle-bunny inside, wiggly-giggly energizer puppy on walks. I love going for walks and playing with you!. I love a good game of fetch and I'm smart enough to bring the ball right back to you. I'm dog reactive, but I am good on the leash, and I know all my basic commands. I just need an active, experienced home to keep me on the right track. After a good play session, there's nothing I love more than a good cuddle. I'm 45 lbs. of pure loyalty and love. I am fully potty trained, use the doggie door, and am crate trained. I also give the best kisses, and love my humans more than you can imagine. I would do best as the only pup in the house, so I can get all of the attention and know that I am safe, but I do get along with dogs with calm energy. Will you take me home, take me on walks, set boundaries and love me forever? If you and I both put in the work, I will be the dog of your dreams. Oh, and no kitties, please. My former foster mom says: 'Bridget Bones is one of our smartest dogs, and before I knew her, I could have sworn that she was a puppy! She's one of those lucky dogs who doesn't age a day and will forever be a puppy! She places heavy emphasis on respect, but once you've earned it with her, she will be an angel!'Fill out an application to foster or adopt me today!I promise to make your life brighter with my cheerful presence. Adopt me and let's make wonderful memories together!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

I rescued Dottie from being euthanized and I’m looking to find this angel her perfect family. Dottie is a big sweet moo cow lady who is just bursting to give and receive love. You can see the kindness shining through her eyes. Dottie’s favorite thing in the world is to lay with her head in my lap getting belly rubs. A close second is going on walks! She rests in her bed most of the day but when it’s time to walk she gets so excited and tippy tappy and has a lot of energy on our walks. She’s good with big and small dogs and has been gentle with my cats and with children. She’s also potty trained. Dottie is the sweetest lady and a good girl and really deserves a home where she is showered with love and belly rubs.

Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a two-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix ( maybe mixed with Husky due to his beautiful blue and green eyes). He is the happiest boy with an incredible disposition. Buddy loves going on long walks and just loves being with his “people”. He has spent several months living with a trainer and several other dogs and has done amazing. He loves the water and other dogs. He is now in a foster with two other dogs and doing well. Once he’s in a home with a yard, he can decompress and play and let out his energy. Buddy has had extensive training and a trainer will come to the adopter's house to work with the family and show what he can do. He would do best with an active family. He was rescued from the Riverside shelter where he shared his kennel with another dog. He’s a love bug that is so deserving of his loving forever home. Buddy is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, had a blood panel and a full clean bill of health. If you think you are the right family for Buddy, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab so that we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on all our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez. If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short and/or long-term doggie foster families. We greatly appreciate the help and time of our fosters. Story
Affectionate and Loving Meet Sandy!   Sandy is a 1-year-old super-loving female pup. She wants to be friends with every big dog, little dog, and cat as long as they are okay with her. If not, she will give them their space. Sandy likes to be part of the action and is always very curious to see what everyone is doing and what everything is. You can clearly state, that she has a big case of the 'Fear Of Missing Out'. She’s calm inside the house but once in the yard, she runs her daily zoomies to provoke someone to chase her or to chase critters coming into her yard. Sandy's still learning how to be a dog so she’s working on walking on a leash because she never had a walk but learning pretty fast. She is eager to please and is happy to get positive praise and reinforcement for her good work. She’s submissive and shy at first but warms up pretty quick to everyone around her. Update 9/7/22 Sandy has been living with our trainer and has been doing great! She gets along and plays well with the other dogs and has become more comfortable meeting new people. She will have a lot of training under her belt when she goes to her forever home!   If you would like to meet sassy Sandy, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. Story
Affectionate and LovingWedge is an amazing 10-month-old with so much potential to be a great dog for any family! He does well with older children and other friendly dogs. He enjoys rough-housing with his foster sister and plays very nicely with the family's older dog.  Wedge is a snuggler and loves couch privileges while still doing very well in his crate.  His current foster family fell in love with him super fast and are absolutely heartbroken to have to let him go. He gets uncomfortable around strangers and is working with a trainer to help him gain confidence and work through whatever happened to him before he came to us. The trainer is positive that Wedge's training be successful. He just needs a home with stability and patience.  His current foster has a busy schedule and young children which aren't conducive to his need for consistency. He just needs more time to settle in, as all rescue dogs do, to feel secure, and gain confidence, and he will be an amazing addition to any Loving family! The foster family does think Wedge would do best with older kids. He loves being played with and loved on. Another dog in a secure backyard to make Wedge feel safe would also be ideal. He's an active puppy that would benefit greatly from walks.  He is best in a calmer home as he does have some fear issues so a family that has people coming and going may be too overstimulating for Wedge, Wedge needs people to be introduced to him in a way that makes him feel safe. We do encourage Wedge's adopter to provide him with structure, stability, consistency, tons of love, and continued training to set him up for success. His trainer will help Wedge's new family with 2 training sessions at no charge.   If you are interested in meeting Wedge, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez.   Adoption fees for puppies under 1 year are $500, for young to adult dogs $400, and for our senior dogs $300. Koko is a gorgeous 5 1/2 year old  female American Staffordshire terrier mix that weighs 63 pounds of love & sweetness. Koko is amazingly behaved in the home and can be left alone in the home for many hours without needing to be crated. She just may make herself comfy on your coach or snuggle in her comfy dog bed.  Koko walks perfectly on a leash, rides great in the car and is potty trained.  She is a perfect love bug and chill bug who loves being with her loved ones watching T.V, or hanging out with you in the yard. Koko can walk and see other dogs in her surroundings, but prefers to be the only dog. She wants to have a peaceful, beautiful life giving and receiving love after her difficult past, but she’s an exceptionally beautiful and loving soul that deserves a loving family to love appreciate and commit to providing her with her loving forever life. Story
Hi, I'm Sloan! I am about 7.5 years old and 65 lbs., and I’m told I’m such a special guy because I have a fantastic attitude about life, despite my tough start. Before being rescued, it was discovered I had been shot, leaving me blind in one eye. Don’t worry; this doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest! I was also found with stab wounds and was extremely underweight. Despite a hard start, I have come a long way and I am healthy and happy now and looking for my furever home where I can love my people as much as they love me. Everyone says I really deserve that! One thing to know about me is that I LOVE water! I love to play but I do play a little rough, so a home with kids over 12 would be best. I enjoy other dogs if they are calm and respect my space. My dream home would be with a family who is active and likes to take walks, play ball with me, take me swimming or on a hike. Oh, and no cats, please! I can be vocal, but it's because I really like to hear myself talk. If you think I sound like a good fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application today!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Story
Drizzle’s foster mom wants you to know that “Drizzle has a joy for life especially when she flips over on her back and wiggles around. This zest transfers over to you in complete laughter and happiness. You can’t help but enjoy life with her!”Drizzle’s perfect morning looks like this: a car ride, yoga on the bluff in the sunshine with her foster mom, lots of affection, another car ride, and a toy to play with or chew on. Then home so her foster mom can go to work, and she can hang out in her bed, snoring through video calls. Drizzle is about 7 years old and 65 lbs., and mornings like this have given her a whole new perspective on how great life can be! In her previous life, where she may have been used as a breeder mama, Drizzle was left with some hip issues that limit her walks to just a few blocks, but that won’t stop her from trying to pull on her leash a little if she gets the chance (don’t give her the chance)! Drizzle can be a bit stubborn and is working on her leash skills. She’s also learning how to sit (and practicing before every meal!), is completely housetrained, and is looking to her humans for direction. She can be the proverbial bull[dog] in a China shop, so would likely do better with older kids rather than little ones. Drizzle loves meeting people and dogs on her walks, and she is doing great at cohabitating with her foster dog sibling. One of her best tricks is giving the cutest little kisses - you have to experience them!Drizzle’s foster mom reports, 'She really just wants someone to love her, which is very easy to do with her sweet personality.' If you are ready to enjoy life with Drizzle, please fill out an application today!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Starting with his underbite, adding his goofy morning happy dance, and finally seeing how he sleeps with his tongue out, this 3.5-year-old, 73 pound hunky guy will keep you laughing all day. He loves to hang with and 'help' you as you go about your day. Gleason is looking for an experienced human who can maintain proper structure and boundaries in the home. He's an incredibly good boy when he respects his humans, but if he senses a lack of control, he will push his boundaries. He does well with other dogs as long as he gets a slow, proper introduction. Overall, Gleason is calm and easy-going, totally content to snooze when you are busy, will happily jump in the car, and walks well on leash. Are you giddy for Gleason? We are!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm
