Meet Mila ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Mila is a spayed 3 year old female Pitbull/Staffie mix, currently weighing around 40lbs. She is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Mila plays well with all dog sizes! She really enjoys playtime with the larger pups as they can keep up with her energy. She does well when meeting other dogs, but her foster notes she has a tendency to jump on her canine buddies, and some dogs may not like this. This cutie LOVES food and treats, scarfing down her own before checking to see what her foster siblings have in their bowls. She's not shown any aggression but we recommend feeding her separately just to ensure continued household harmony. Mila is smart, young and very teachable, quickly picking up on new lessons! She enjoys exploring and is super curious. Mila has not been crate trained as there is always someone home and she has access to a doggy door to come and go as she pleases. She has proven herself trustworthy to be left alone unsupervised as long as no food has been left out and the trash cans are empty. For this reason, Mila may do best in a home where someone is home more than they're away. Mila has been around her foster's young to older grandkids (1y, 10y, and preteens) and done well, not showing much interest in them. While Mila would probably be okay with kids of all ages, we generally recommend homes with children who are over the age of 10yrs, or those who are dog savvy. We do not have any history with cats. She is very people oriented and follows her Foster Mom around everywhere. She does not seem to have ever met a stranger, and gets super excited to say hello to new friends! She is affectionate and very cuddly, lying down nearby and asking for pets and kisses. Mila's ideal home would be with a moderately to very active family who has no/older kids, at least one other dog, and who wants a running partner or outdoors companion. She's still young and needs some training, but she is a very sweet girl who craves love and attention, and strives to please with lots of reassurance. If her Furever Family is patient and understanding, giving her ample time to adjust, she will be the very best girl and love you forever! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Owner Responsibilities: To help Lion thrive, he’ll need: Daily exercise (walks, play, and engagement) Structure, training, and positive reinforcement Plenty of affection and time with his family A safe, stable home where he won’t be left alone too long Give him routine, purpose, and love — and Lion will give you devotion for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally. Why Lion Would Be a Great Addition: Lion is a loyal, affectionate, and joy-filled companion who will bring warmth and love into any home. His expressive Boxer charm, playful energy, and gentle nature make him the kind of dog who forms bonds that last a lifetime. He’ll make you laugh, comfort you on hard days, and love you with everything he has. He’s not just a dog — he’s family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Greetings and salutations, Colorado, it’s me, Gonzo! I like to fancy myself a courteous and honorable gent, and my mom always told me begging is bad manners, but the Underdogs assured me that begging for a hero to help save you is the exception to that rule. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Gonzo and I’m a 2-3 year-old gentle giant Boxer/American Bulldog mix buddy and I'm crossing all my paws for a hero foster or adopter. My Underdogs foster folks can only surmise that I was once somebody’s well-loved guy before I ended up in the dog clink.  I have impeccable bathroom manners, walk politely on leash and lounge quietly on my dog bed.  I’ll never know why my previous peoples stopped loving me and why they left me to wander the cold winter streets alone. What I do know, though, is that I’ve never stopped loving the peoples, ALL the peoples. Because man alive, do I love them! I could sweetly lean into them for pets and cuddles all day long. And if they gave me proper permission, I’d also happily cover them in my signature Gonzo smooches. It’s also my sole mission in life to make them laugh with my hilarious antics and sweet demeanor. I'm a calm dude in the home, but I also love to go for runs, walks and hikes. Basically, I'm down for all the Colorado adventuring.  I do well around other good fit dog friends, but my best fit home may be one where I'm your only four-legged best bud. Believe me, I've got so much love to give, one Gonzo guy is all you'll ever need. I truly am such an easy well-mannered giant lover, I just know you'll love me once you meet me.  I'm neutered, vaccinated  If you’re interested in learning more about me and hopefully set up a meeting, please fill out an adoption application at https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/  and if you're interested in helping spring me from this sad and lonely dog clink by helping to foster me, I would be soo sooo grateful, please fill out a foster application at https://underdogsrescue.org/foster-form/ .  ##1906137##
