Meet Mocha, our most enthusiastic water dog! Mocha is a sweet, friendly girl who has had a rough start to life! After overcoming some medical hurdles, she`s finally ready to get out of the shelter. Mocha is a bit inexperienced with other dogs and now is a great time to help her gain confidence around mature canines! She would likely enjoy living in a multidog household with a calm, mature canine who can show her the ropes. She loves people, especially when they are patient, gentle and come bearing cheese. We can`t wait to see this little lady find a home, come meet her today!Mocha can be met with until 4:30pm so our Training and Behavior team can provide adoption counseling.

She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Kia is an amazing girl. She is a German Shepard Boxer mix! This girl is still young and she is eager to please and ready to learn! She was in training for a while and knows her basic commands! She is also crate trained! Kia is ready for a family that is going to take her on lots of adventures! She loves to get out and see the world and would thrive with an active family! Utah, boxer/pitbull mix, 70 lb, 4-5 yo, neutered maleUtah is a beautiful dog. He is calm, friendly, and happy with whatever activities are going on. He has a serious look and intense gaze, but personality-wise he is gentle, not that serious and loves to play. He is better with female dogs and a bit dominant with the male dogs. Bonded with Hutla, always goes to her kennel to check on her and get her out to play. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Was successfully treated for heartworm. Adoption fee $325. Meet Beno - the biggest lap dog we`ve got right now! This darling boy can be a bit shy with new people, but he warms up quickly and you`ll see his silly grin with a lolling tongue and wiggly rear end! His favorite past times are long sniffy walks, playing fetch or tug-o-war, and chasing plush toys. He has a repertoire of tricks he`s happy to show off for you including sit, stay, spin, lay down, roll over, and shake! Beno has not lived with kids before so children over the age of 10 are recommended. Beno has enjoyed meeting a dog here and was a bit playful but he did not live with other animals in his previous home, so if you have a resident dog, bring them down for a meet and greet to see if they`re fast friends. Beno is also comfortable being crated while his family is not a home, especially if left with a bully stick or something to munch on!

Puddin` is as sweet as his name! This sensitive pup is such a love bug and will benefit from a gentle adopter that can help him build confidence as he matures. He is a little insecure around new dogs, but having a well-adjusted canine companion in his next home might be exactly what he needs to help him learn!
