Story
Koda is 4.5 years old and the sweetest most playful pup you will meet. He loves romping around with other dogs, wrestling and snuggling with humans, and has some mild herding instincts he's not sure what to do with. He is very well trained and knows many commands including Sit, Wait, Lay Down, Relax (head on the ground), Pose (go between your legs), Right (a heel on the right side), Touch (nose your palm, this is his recall word), and many more. He is crate trained and loves to take a siesta if humans are nearby, definitely a velcro dog and prefers to be in the same room as whoever's home, otherwise he loves to lay on a comfy chair and look out the window. Koda's perfect new home would be with someone who is ready to take his training to the next level and offer lots of mental stimulation, while he adores fetch and tug, he is very thoughtful and loves a challenge. He has had two minor-medium bite incidents with "home intruders", and rare dog aggression (no bites).

Story
These darling pups have had a rough start to life. They were brought to HSBV as strays and were exposed to a canine specific virus that required quarantine. HSBV`s training and behavior team worked daily to socialize them to the best of our ability within the confines of their quarantine needs, but they are hoping you can help them make up for lost time. They are as sweet as they can be and Rooster is especially eager to leave the shelter behind to see what the great big world has to offer. At this time, they should not be around other puppies but can happily live with fully vaccinated adult dogs. They would love to find a family who has a well-adjusted adult dog who can show them the ropes.  And food is definitely the way to their heart. Older or gentle children are recommended. A dog meet is required if considering him for a multi-dog household.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Kia is an amazing girl. She is a German Shepard Boxer mix! This girl is still young and she is eager to please and ready to learn! She was in training for a while and knows her basic commands! She is also crate trained! Kia is ready for a family that is going to take her on lots of adventures! She loves to get out and see the world and would thrive with an active family! She is good with large & medium dogs, people, and kids! She is looking for a foster home or her forever family. Kia Lia is amazing with everyone and she gets along well with large and medium dogs, unfortunately not so well with small dogs.  If you are interested in adopting me, please go to the Ozzie and Friends website https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.or g March 7, 2026, 9:29 am

Story
I acquired Indie after her owner suddenly passed away. Indie is a very smart, and loyal pup. She will sit or lay right next to you wherever you are like your personal sidekick. Indie has a more calmer nature, but gets excited too. She’s a little anxious, she’s afraid of thunder and fireworks, and needs something to hold in her mouth (right now she has a bunny) when she’s excited. But she is so loyal and sweet. Loves belly scratches, she’ll actually give you her paw a million times, she wants you to scratch her belly. And finally, she absolutely loves to cuddle. She is not fixed.

These pups are in Boulder, Colorado too!

Story
Wilbur is just a mellow dude looking for a loving home where he can be the center of your world. This boy is extremely cuddly, and has a personality that will keep you laughing. His previous guardian reported that he would sometimes fake a limp to get more treats or attention - what an adorable scoundrel! Wilbur is no dummy, and he knows what his preferences are which includes no other dogs. It`s not that he strongly dislikes them, but he would just prefer to hog all your attention and ignore their existence. Wilbur has limited experience with kids, but he doesn`t like to share his toys or bones, a child-free home is a must for this diva. We promise you`ll be so happy when you take Wilbur home, he`ll settle right in, go for long walks, then settle down to cuddle and do whatever you`d like for the evening!

Story
Daisy is the sweetest gal. She can be fearful in new situations and with some new people, especially male-presenting individuals, but once she warms up her smile and tail wag will warm your heart. Because of her tender personality, a home with individuals 18 and over is required, and if your household has men, those who consider themselves gentle and patient would be best. Daisy lived with a dog in her previous home and while they played often, she simply isn`t a fan if sharing her things, so she is required to the only animal in her next home. We`ve really enjoyed watching Daisy blossom while in care with us and hope you will give her that chance, too.If you are interested in meeting Daisy, please contact the Humane Society of Boulder Valley Foster department at 303-442-4030, extension 697, or e-mail foster@boulderhumane.org.
