Story
I adopted Arwen from a rescue group in Feb. 2018. She is a lovable goof ball. She loves to be with you at all times. She loves sitting on the coach with you or going on a long run. It does not matter the activity she just want to be with you. Arwen particular likes to walk. She use to be very good on a leash; due to circumstances we have not been walking and right now she pulls a lot. She is not reactive to other dogs, but will pull to go see them. When you leave she will tend to destroy things. This is probably due to a mixture of separation anxiety as well as having a lot of energy. She would do well in a household that is home a lot. She would also benefitted from being kenneled while you are gone. She likes other dogs but is unable to understand their body language and has attacked him dog siblings due misreading their signs. She is apologetic afterwards but she has drawn blood. She is a great dog but needs to be an only dog in a household that has the time and energy for her.

Story
Cherishing her second chance at life is sweet and charming 2-year-old Cherry. Always happy, always smiling, the friendly 48-pound former puppy mama loves cuddling and snuggling with her foster mom, resting her head on her and having her sleek brown and white coat brushed. Athletic and agile, energetic and enthusiastic, she also loves going on walks, pulling only occasionally, chewing bones, and engaging with other friendly dogs off leash at the park. (After her first taste of snow during a hike and loving it, she may make an ideal long walking, jogging, and hiking companion). Content to relax at home once her energy’s been expended, Cherry’s equally content entertaining herself by playing with her various chewy and squeaky toys. Fond of all dog treats, accepting them gently, she’s mainly motivated by food, currently knows “come,” “sit,” and “no,” does well with the resident children, and is almost fully crate and house-trained. Now all this charmer needs is a loving home to complete her training, including her commands, and keep her mentally and physically fulfilled fur-ever.  See more photos and videos of Cherry here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $300.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hi, my name is now Veruska,  I like it better than  Veruca . I am a 2-year-old female Staffordshire Terrier and I LOVE people. I have been in a foster home for a while and I don't know why. I am told that Black dogs get adopted last and that may be the case.  My foster parent tells me that I am as sweet as can be.  My whole body wiggles when they come home from work and we love cuddling together on the couch.  I love laying in the sun and running around the backyard too.  I am a pretty easy dog, I  keep myself entertained when my people are gone, I potty outside and if you want to teach me tricks, I am a good learner. If these are some traits you are looking for in a dog, please fill out an application and come meet me, I can't wait to get to my forever home.  My trainer came over and this is a note from her...  I went to visit Veruska yesterday, I am amazed at how calm she is and how quickly she has adapted to her new environment with her new foster dad.  She is very patient with her new foster Dad and reads his body language cues like a champ. She is truly a remarkable dog. It's hard to put into words how amazing she is.  Here's a new video to add to her bio too - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiFQrXTEZIQ      Her adoption fee is $250. To meet lovely Verukska, put in an application at www.eapl.com February 20, 2024, 4:51 pm

0321166 ATTENTION - We Do Not Adopt Out of State - NO EXCEPTIONS  Disclaimer: All rescue dogs may have a percentage of pit bull or Staffordshire breeds in them. I need a single family home with a fenced in yard.         Hi I'm Snips and I'm a handsome brindle staffie mix. I'm such a sweetheart! I was born around 3/12/2012. I love to go on walks even though I need some time to get my energy and sniffs out before I walk well on a leash. Once I get into my gait I'm a pleasure to take on a good long walk. I have some dominating behaviors with other dogs. I am not good with cats. I have a stoic personality and am reserved with strangers. I may not do well in a home with a lot of traffic. With that said, I do have a fun side. I love to get out and explore around the yard. I'm independent that way. I would do best in a home with a yard. We can hang out and be best friends. Don't pass me by. I'll be an amazing companion! ##1058566##
