Story
Hi I’m Dallas, also known as the amazing Houdini! I’m a 1-2 year old male Am Staff/herding dog mix. I have long, floppy ears with a slightly wired coat. I am a sweet, playful pup with a fun goofy personality. I am friendly with almost everyone I meet, but I can get over stimulated in new places and need guidance. I like children, but my size, energy and my love to jump up to say hello may not be the best for tiny humans! I also like other dogs as long as they like me and my rough style of play. I love a routine to help me stay calm and happy, but treats take away all my anxiety. My foster dad says I am one of the smartest dogs he has met, and I have already learned Come, Sit, Stay, Lay, Roll Over, and Place. I am high energy and can play for hours. I like to hoard, steal toys and even play tug over them with my foster brother. I love my foster brother so much, I follow him everywhere and sleep in his crate with him, but he is a patient dog who puts up with my antics! I enjoy and behave while taking a bath and I am generally non-destructive in the house. I haven't had an accident in the house in a couple months!😁 When I first arrived here a few months ago, I had terrible separation anxiety, was absolutely terrified of kennels and being left alone. I can break out of a wire crate, plastic crate, outdoor kennel and most other devices, but every time I bust out I don't run away, in fact I would run around the house looking for my foster dad. Nowadays, I have learned my kennel is my safe space and don’t even try to get out unless left alone for a very long time- then, you can catch me napping on the couch! This is why I am known as the amazing Houdini! I really just want to be loved and have someone to spend my whole day with. Some of my hobbies include: long walks on the leash, running after squirrels and rabbits in the yard, chewing Nylabones, playing with tugs ropes and balls and eating- Lots of eating My foster dad says I'm a very good doggie. That I'm handsome, affectionate, sweet and that I just love everyone I meet. I'm a cuddle bug and I can't wait to snuggle and give kisses with my own special family. Story
Enzo has a new story to tell and he's waiting to write it with you. NEEDS FOSTER ASAP or ADOPTER ENZO: 2 year old male American Bully, roughly 65 pounds. He loves people and is such a sweetie! He is a silly fun loving goofball with an outstanding personality. He gives kisses and he is the biggest cuddler of ALL!😋 He is pretty lazy, but does have spurts of energy throughout the day- he loves tug a war and fetch. He enjoys walks and will even go on a run sometimes. Quick to catch on and very smart❤️ He's the perfect gentleman. ENZO is crate and potty trained. He is great with cats & kids- very gentle with them. Not so good with other dogs. Best with him being the only dog in the household. He would love to be able to sleep with someone at night- huge snuggle bug. He is a really great dog and a true loyal companion. Enzo's backstory: Was rescued from a high kill shelter- off the streets of Clovis, about 2 years ago. He lost his eye from surviving in the streets before he was brought into shelter. CLAWA along with some fantastic amazing volunteers rescued Enzo and he came to Colorado and was adopted. Now, 2 years later, there have been some unexpected changes in the owners household and here we are! Story
JUICY is approx 4-5 years old female ! She is a gentle girl that needs a gentle hand. She is easy and low Maintenance. Very easy dog to have around. She is the sweetest. Such a wonderful pup! She is quiet, listens well, can be left alone without issue and when she bonds to you, she will be incredibly loyal & affectionate. She's low energy and starting to play with toys❤️ She is very shy, timid at first and will take a few to warm up. She has been thru some trauma and needs to know she can trust you. When she warms up, she is sooo sweet, loving and can be silly. She will cuddle up on the coach with you & give kisses💋 Juicy is good with other submissive dogs(she's an Alpha) and loves humans once she trusts. She is good with cats. Crate/potty trained and walks great on the leash- loves to go on walks! She needs someone she can trust and that can be gentle with her. Juicy is fantastic and is a great dog to have around😊 She will stick you like glue & shows bursts of playfulness! Sleeps with foster every night and just follows foster everywhere. Very loving, sweet and a great snuggle bug. She can be territorial with her human and would do best in no pet household.

Story
Lucy's Bio Meet Lucy, a charming female Staffordshire Terrier with a cocoa-colored coat and striking yellow eyes. At approximately 2-3 years old and weighing between 70 to 75 pounds, Lucy is the embodiment of a well-mannered and loving companion, ready to bring joy and warmth to any home. Personality Traits Lucy is the epitome of a gentle and affectionate dog. Her well-trained nature makes her a wonderful indoor companion, as she is extremely well potty trained and loves lounging in a cozy spot. Lucy enjoys being close to her family, often joining them in bed for cuddles. Her gentle demeanor shines through when she accepts treats, taking them delicately from your hand without lunging. Lucy is known for her expressive "hungry eyes" when you eat, but her impeccable manners ensure she never becomes a nuisance. She adores having the middle of her chest rubbed and will gently nudge your arm with her paw when she seeks attention. Training and Abilities Lucy is not only loving but also highly intelligent and well-trained. She knows the seven basic commands: sit, stay, down, come, heel, off, and no. Additionally, she responds to hand signal commands for sit, stay, come, and down. Lucy understands phrases like "not for you," "kennel/inside," and "with me" while on a leash. Although she is generally well-behaved on a leash, she may occasionally pull when excited. Socialization and Play Lucy is a loving and playful companion towards humans and gets along with smaller dogs, though she may be a bit stand-offish with larger dogs. She has a fondness for her toys, especially when playing fetch with a ball. While she knows the "drop it" command, she can sometimes be a bit stubborn, requiring a gentle reminder to release her toys. Care and Protection Lucy is easygoing during bath time, handling it with calmness and grace. Her protective instincts make her an excellent guard dog, vigilant in defending her territory and ensuring the safety of her home and family. With her loving heart and well-mannered nature, Lucy is ready to become a cherished part of your family, bringing joy, protection, and companionship to your life.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please go to our website   https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/     and fill out an application. Story
Ruben is a typical puppy: energetic, curious, and mouthy. He craves attention and affection. Ruben is moderately crate trained. As a puppy, he is better off with blankets in his crate.  He loves playing with toys but needs some attention in terms of just being with people and getting more socialized.  When he is calm after some play, he is very sweet. He has an intense stare and is likely a great candidate for scent work. He is super agile and loves to run fast. He can actually entertain himself with a variety of things in the yard.  He was found in an orchard field... and not much around to sustain him. So, he is in need of love and care to round out his early struggles. But, he is young, and is learning quickly basic commands.November 6, 2024, 2:40 pm
