Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Lilah finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our  adoption application  so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails).   Lilah | 3 y/o Mixed Breed | Talkative Adventure Buddy Looking for someone to join you on your five-mile run or keep pace on long hikes? Lilah just might be your girl. At 49 pounds, she’s packed with energy, love, and personality, and she’s ready to find a family who can keep up with her zest for life. Lilah is very vocal—when she wants something (a walk, a toy, a treat, or belly rubs), she’ll “talk” to you in her own big-dog way. Her bark can sound intimidating, but it’s all communication—there’s no aggression behind it. This affectionate girl is happiest when she’s close to her people. She’ll curl up under the covers at night, follow you around during the day, and flop into spontaneous somersaults whenever she’s angling for belly rubs. But Lilah is more than just a snuggle bug—she thrives on activity and loves being outdoors. Whether it’s chasing squirrels in the yard, hitting the trails, or working on training, she’s at her best when she’s moving and engaged. Smart and food-motivated, Lilah already knows “sit,” “lie down,” and “touch,” and she tackles puzzle games with determination. Her leash manners are still a work in progress, especially with all the exciting things to see and smell, but with consistency she’s eager to learn. After adventuring, she enjoys winding down with a chew or Kong in her crate, or simply lounging near her people. She’s nearly fully house-trained and has even embraced her inner fashionista, happily sporting cozy sweaters in chilly weather. Lilah’s ideal home will be an active, loving one where she can channel her energy into regular exercise and mental challenges, balanced with quiet cuddle time. She’ll thrive with people who understand her talkative ways, appreciate her playful spirit, and are ready to let her shine as both an adventure partner and a loyal companion. With her mix of energy, smarts, and affection, Lilah is more than ready to bring joy, laughter, and love to her forever family.
