HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Sometimes the most beautiful gift is the Dawn of a new day. Hello! My name is Dawn, and I am just about the cutest puppy you will ever meet. I have a sweet little face, and puppy eyes that will warm your soul and make you fall in love with me every time you look at me!  Not only am I super adorable, but I have a winning personality, too. I love to play with my brother and foster siblings, but if no one else is available, I’m perfectly happy entertaining myself! I will roll around on the couch, spin in circles on my back, bite my own toes or tail – it really is charming (and silly)!  After a good play, my favorite thing to do is nap. If I can cuddle with my brother or one of my foster parents, that is the very best way to nap.  Speaking of napping, I sleep overnight in my kennel with my brother. We sleep through the whole night without a peep! We even go in the kennel happily but are especially happy when there is a treat involved. I am highly food motivated and look forward to all three meals I get in a day! I already know “sit” and am very smart, so I will be quick to learn other commands as well! Since I’m very smart, it seems redundant to say that I already figured out the dog door at my foster parents’ house. I am about 99% potty trained, only having had a couple of accidents inside when I was playing too hard and forgot what I was supposed to do. My foster parents are brewery training me and my brother, and while I have limited leash experience so far, I do very well! I love to be held, but I am also fine with being on the ground and taking a nap and then getting all the love from people as they walk by. If you’re looking for a shining light to brighten your morning and the rest of your day, for that matter, look no further than Dawn. Dawn is a 3-month-old Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. To see more of me and my adventures, check out my foster dad’s Instagram: @kodabearfosterpups Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2005790##

Story
Hello, I'm Woodie. I'm a 2.5 year old Stafforshire Terrier/Lab mix. I'm a bit shy, but once I get to know you, I'm the sweetest companion. I enjoy quiet moments, a good scratch behind the ears, and gentle walks. I'm mellow, not much into chaos or loud noises. I prefer the calm, the gentle rhythm of a peaceful day. I may take a little while to warm up, but once I do, I promise you a lifetime of loyalty and love. Adopt me, not just because I need a home, but because I have so much love to give, and I'm waiting to share it with you. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to info@polkcountyhumanesociety.org. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! ##2019900##

Story
Check out this big hugger ! Yep you heard right Bruce loves to give hugs. He is a total love bug always ready to smother your face with lots of kisses. Bruce was brought into the rescue after being posted "for free" covered in open bite wounds after being attacked by a pack of loose dogs. After surgery and a month of TLC, Bruce was ready to start his journey to finding his forever home. Because of his past traumatic incident, he can be nervous with other dogs and can be dog selective. He prefers females that like to play with him or to be the only fur pup so he can get all the attention. He loves to make his people happy and is just looking for someone willing to want to do the same for him. He is kennel trained and potty trained.  Can you be Bruce's second chance? ##1855628##

Story
Both my out of state elderly parents are needing help and can’t accommodate a dog. Athena is super sweet and bonds great to everyone, esp females. She was left alone alot, but is over the door darting and just loves to be great company. .She is a spayed, 100% potty trained love muffin. Great on a leash. She can come, sit and stay as well. Very little shedding At the creek, she will stick her head into the water to fetch rocks to play with on the bank. Great in the car. She has gotten really good at sharing a bed without crowding, but also can sleep on couches and chairs if that is your pref. At 5, she is settled down and pretty darn calm. Loves the tennis ball.. but she will not drive you insane with it Loves the dog park. She loves chew bones, Teeth will remain perfect as long as she has chewing toys Social butterfly esp w young dogs. Like any dog, keep toys and food out of sight when first meeting.. Plleeease consider this beauty. You will absolutely not regret it.
