What we know: 8-month-old mixed breed male transferred from Rebel All Breed Rescue in New Mexico. The dog came with the name “Rocky.” Rocky was pulled from a partner shelter approximately 30 minutes before he was scheduled to be euthanized due to space limitations. Rocky was transferred into rescue placement to continue care and be placed for adoption. From the foster: Im a lover not a fighter! Don't let the name Rocky fool you into believing I'm anything but a sweet pup. I love my people. Being near them makes me happy. I like to play with my stuffed bee, go for walks(which I'm pretty dang good on the leash if I don't say so myself), play fetch with the ball(but I won't always give it back to you), chew on my bones and toys(but never on things I shouldn't), and go potty outside(I've yet to have an accident in the house). My foster family adores me and so I sleep amazingly well in my kennel so they'll have the energy to play with me during the day(sometimes you have to give me some encouragement to get into the kennel but once I'm there I'm happy and sleep all night). I definitely took a day to get my nerves out but once I did I'm comfortable laying on my blanket near my people. I will be an amazing addition to the family that is lucky to get me! What we know: Litter of 9 (5F, 4M) transferred from Operation Pawprints in TX. Employee of a news station that works with one of CPR's rescue partners found a pregnant stray mama dog and took her in. Rescue partner got involved to help and eventually transferred 9 puppies to CPR at approximately 3 months old. Mama was spayed and adopted by the finder. From the foster: Gracie is social adventurer, a slinky little girl who thinks she’s in charge even though the world still surprises her sometimes. She’s been apprenticing the big dog in her foster home; learning all about the magic of sticks and portals (doggy doors are crazy!), as well as how to weasel treats from humans (sit). Treat motivated and clever, she appreciates a routine, happily tucking herself into her kennel at night like the independent pup she is.
