Story
Diesel is a good boy. He needs to be the only pet in the house. He doesn’t love other dogs. Right now I have 6 other dogs. Diesel loves to cuddle with you. He loves to play and kiss you! He loves kids he has done well with both my kids they were 7 and 11 when we got him. We have had him since he was 4 weeks old. He is 7 years old now. I want him to go to another good home. Diesel is well loved here but I have to do a lot of separation with the other animals to prevent fights. He deserves a good home with a family that has time to devote to just him.

Story
Hello, I'm Mimosa, a sweet and smart lady with a mellow disposition. My friends here say I'm quite the character, with a funny sense of humor that keeps them laughing. I'm friendly and love to cuddle, but I also appreciate my independence. I can entertain myself when you're busy, but I'll always be there to welcome you home with a wagging tail. I prefer the company of people over pets so I would like to be the only furry one in the house. I've got all the love you could ever need, so why share? Adopt me, and let's fill our days with laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love. She shows aggression towards other dogs without a slow introduction but has played with some of my other male dogs. Age: 3 years Weight: 65lbs Temperament: Gets along with all people but would be best as the only dog Training: Housetrained, crate-trained Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions:     todd.smith@emory.edu To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Dear Future Family, Hi there, I’m Toad—though some folks like to call me Feldspar (fancy, right?). I’m writing this letter with my paws crossed, hoping that you might be the loving, active, and fun home I’ve been waiting for. You see, I’ve been in foster care for a while now, and while I’m incredibly grateful to my foster family for saving my life and giving me so much love, I’m ready to find my forever family. Maybe that’s you? First, let me tell you a little about me. I’m about two years old, full of energy, and absolutely love to run. In fact, I’m so good at running that I have my very own treadmill—and yep, I use it every day! Don’t worry, if you bring me home, the treadmill comes with me, so we can keep up with my routine. Whether it’s a long jog, a hike, or an exciting game of fetch, I’m always up for an adventure. If you’ve got an active lifestyle and need a buddy to keep up with you, I’m your guy. When I’m not running or playing, I’m all about cuddles. I’m a total cuddle bug, and I make the cutest little grumbles and grunts when I’m being loved on. It’s my way of saying “thank you” for all the affection! Toys are another favorite of mine—big ones, small ones, squeaky ones, tough ones—you name it, I’ll love it. I’m also really well-behaved in the house. I’m potty trained, non-destructive, and I know lots of cool tricks like sit, lay down, high five (my favorite!), and even waiting patiently for my meals. I’m super food motivated, which means I’m easy to train and eager to please. Oh, and I don’t have any resource guarding issues, so you never have to worry about me being grumpy over food, toys, or treats. I’m great with most dogs, especially if they love to play as much as I do. I do best with pups who enjoy a rowdy wrestling match or a good chase. I might take a little longer to warm up to intact males, but with proper introductions, I’m happy to make new friends. I think I’d be happiest in a home with no small kids (I get a little jumpy when I’m excited) or with older kids who are comfortable around dogs. One thing I need to mention—I’ve been through a lot in my short life. When my foster family saved me, I was on the euthanasia list. They gave me a second chance, and now I’m hoping you’ll give me my happily ever after. I promise to fill your life with love, laughter, and endless adventures. So, what do you think? Are you ready to meet your new best friend? If you are, I can’t wait to meet you, snuggle up with you, and maybe even race you on the treadmill (spoiler: I’ll win). My foster family is happy to answer any questions and even help set up a meet-and-greet. With love, hope, and a wagging tail, Toad (aka Feldspar) Age: 2.5 years  Weight: 69 lbs  Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative  Temperament: Good with older respectful kids and other dogs.  Training: house trained, crate trained,  He can sit, lay down and high-five. He can also “sit and wait” for his meals or to be let out of his crate.   For questions, please email.   amy@doggieharmony.org   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.  March 31, 2025, 8:06 am
