The SWEETEST dog you will ever meet!!! However, due to unforeseen circumstances we are no longer able to care for her. She is a one-year-old Staffordshire Terrier. Weights sixty-four pounds and has tan short fur. We are unsure about her interaction with other animals, but she is good with men, women and children. She is current with all her vaccines, and we are just interested in getting her into a LOVING new home.

Story
This is Toad aka Feldspar! He is a sweet cuddly lovebug looking for his furever home. We believe Toad to be no more than two years old. He is super playful and high energy, he can run 3 miles in 21 minutes!! He gets along great with most other dogs, especially those who have high energy like him and like to wrestle and play rough. He loves all the dogs at his daycare and the staff love him. His recall is amazing and he can sit, laydown and shake (his personal favorite). He can also “sit and wait” for his meals or to be let out of his crate. Toad is SUPER food motivated and eager to please so he is very trainable. As food motivated as he is, he has zero resource guarding. He doesnt even resource guard his toys and those are his second favorite thing in life right behind cuddles. We believe he would do best in a child free home or a home with older kids who are good with dogs. He has not been tested with cats but he does have a high prey drive so cat free would be best.  Age: 2 years  Weight: 60 lbs  Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative  Temperament: Good with older respectful kids and other dogs.  Training: Most likely house-trained, is neat in her kennel.   For questions, please email aimiablepetcare@aol.com   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. May 20, 2024, 7:25 am

Story
Dobbins is a low-energy couch potato and would be perfect for a single person or a couple who is low-key (I’m thinking recently retired and not too active). He loves to cuddle and loves affection. He is strong on-leash and is learning not to pull, so someone who has had a pittie or large dog before would be ideal. He will cry a little when you leave, but is completely house trained and non-destructive. I’ve had to go into the office for work and he has been wonderful at home, alone. Dobbins is a smarty pants! He is very treat motivated and loves praise and people. He knows: sit, paw, down, stay and touch. He will nudge your hands and arms if you stop petting him to remind you he would like pets, please. Dobbins had not great experiences with other dogs in the past and will need to be an only pet, but he loves so much and so hard, you won’t need another. He is a bit of a klutz, so kids 14 and up would be ideal. Age: 4 years      Weight: 59 lb    Temperament: Good with older sturdy kids because of his size, prefers to be only pet.  Training: House trained, knows commands sit, down, stay, touch and paw   Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative    For questions, please email:   http://allikay4@gmail.com  &#226&#128&#139  To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
I adopted Sweet Pea from a rescue in 2015, she is a puppy mill survivor. She is currently about 12 years old and has a very calm, sweet demeanor. She can be playful and rambunctious when encouraged by her brother Tigger (Boston Terrier), and enjoys sleeping and snuggling with anything she can get her paws around. Although I'd very much like to keep Sweet Pea in my home, I'm unable to due to financial hardship. If possible, I'd like to make sure she stays with her brother Tigger, a 10 year Boston Terrier. I'm looking for a home that will give her (and hopefully her brother) an environment they'd thrive in. Both dogs have been very good with children in all their past-experiences. To describe their personality with children (and people in general), Sweet Pea takes a very curious, playful and motherly attitude and Tigger is very much the playful type.

Story
Born November 10, 2020. Very energetic, loves to play. Comes with kennel, food, toys, harness and leash, favorite treats, toothpaste, and brush. He’s very kind and the biggest baby you’ll ever meet. Is completely harmless and has no history of aggression. I graduated and am moving away for school and my parents/family members aren’t capable of taking care of him. It’s getting closer to the school year and I really don’t want to surrender him to a shelter. If you know anyone who’s interested please share this post!

Story
Hello, I bought him when he was a little puppy at a gas station back in 2016. He is currently 6 years old. I'm looking for a caring, loving pet owner who can provide him with a better home and better support as I'm currently experiencing financial instability. He loves children, gets along best with other dogs (if applicable). He's loving, loves attention, playful, and is a big baby. Loves being spoiled, etc.

Story
Hi there! My name is Jack, and I can't wait to tell you all about myself. Woof! I have a wonderful blend of energy and relaxation, making me a great companion for any adventure or cozy snuggle session. When it comes to meeting new people, I'm always excited and interested. Every new face brings me joy, and I can't wait to make new friends.Let's talk about my interactions with other pets. I absolutely adore dogs! I love their playful nature, and I'm always up for a fun romp or game of chase. I tend to be a bit submissive, which means I'm respectful and enjoy the company of other dogs. However, when it comes to cats, well, let's just say we don't see eye to eye. It's best if I'm in a cat-free environment, so we can avoid any potential conflicts.Oh, how I love being petted! I seek out affection and can't resist a good belly rub or cuddle session. It's the perfect way to show me love and make my tail wag with delight. When it comes to my favorite things, I have quite a few! Squeaky tennis balls and stuffed toys always bring out my playful side. I love the challenge of puzzles that stimulate my clever mind. And let's not forget about my love for anything peanut butter - it's like a taste of heaven! Belly scratches and cuddles are high on my list too. There's nothing better than snuggling up next to my favorite human while they work from home. However, I also understand the importance of personal space, so I won't be under your feet all the time.I'm an active pup, and walks are one of my favorite activities. The world is full of exciting smells and new adventures to explore. If you have a fenced-in yard, that would be a dream come true for me. I can imagine myself running and playing to my heart's content. What makes me special is my vibrant personality. I'm a true bundle of joy! I love to play, but I'm also a huge cuddle bug. Roll me over for belly scratches, and you'll witness my hilarious grin - it's sure to bring a smile to your face. I'm simply "happy to be here" and ready to shower you with unconditional love and laughter. When it comes to finding the perfect family, I believe I could fit in anywhere. I get along great with kids and other dogs, spreading happiness wherever I go. So, if you're looking for a playful and affectionate companion who will bring endless smiles and tail wags into your home, I'm your guy!I can't wait to meet my forever family and embark on countless adventures together. Let's create cherished memories and experience the joy of companionship. Adopting me will be a decision you won't regret - I promise to bring love, laughter, and an unwavering loyalty to your family. Let's make each day a tail-wagging, heartwarming adventure! Love,JackP.S. I qualify for the Foster First Program so you can take me home for two weeks to see how we get along before deciding to adopt me.

Great family dog and dog companionKobe's love for other dogs and humans is boundless. He loved running with his foster sibling in the foster home, often following her around and letting her show him the ropes. He also loves blankets, cuddles, and naps with his humans. Kobe's is also learning to appreciate his alone time. With the help of short practice sessions and chew toys, he's mastering the art of self-entertainment. His ability to seamlessly switch between playtime and naptime, makes him a great companion for work-at-home folks. Kobe's intelligence is a standout feature. He's a smart and food-motivated boy who already grasps commands like "sit" and "down", especially when hand signals are paired with verbal commands. He'd be great at agility training and dock jumping or an excellent running/walking partner. Mostly Kobe just loves having dogs and humans around to pal around with. Who doesn't need a happy-go-lucy buddy like the Kobester? Age:  2 years Weight:  40 lbs    Vetting:  neutered, scheduled to update vaccines and heartworm negative   Temperament: Loves people and dogs and bigger, sturdy kids.  Training: House trained, crate trained (though not a huge fan)  For questions please email: sheltersxshelvesrescue@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.    Chico young, energetic and full of enthusiasm. He loves to run around and play. Needs a home that will keep up with his high energy. Preferably an owner that is also high energy and will go on long walks or park visits to allow Chico to release his energy. When shy or timid he shows no aggression. Age: 2.5 years  Weight: 54 lbs Vetting: neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative. Temperament:  Good with dogs and probably older sturdy kids because of his energy level. Training: House-trained  For questions about Chico, please email dtv.diyora@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
