Story
This is Toad aka Feldspar! He is a sweet cuddly lovebug looking for his furever home. We believe Toad to be no more than two years old. He is super playful and high energy, he can run 3 miles in 21 minutes!! He gets along great with most other dogs, especially those who have high energy like him and like to wrestle and play rough. He loves all the dogs at his daycare and the staff love him. His recall is amazing and he can sit, laydown and shake (his personal favorite). He can also “sit and wait” for his meals or to be let out of his crate. Toad is SUPER food motivated and eager to please so he is very trainable. As food motivated as he is, he has zero resource guarding. He doesnt even resource guard his toys and those are his second favorite thing in life right behind cuddles. We believe he would do best in a child free home or a home with older kids who are good with dogs. He has not been tested with cats but he does have a high prey drive so cat free would be best.  Age: 2 years  Weight: 60 lbs  Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative  Temperament: Good with older respectful kids and other dogs.  Training: Most likely house-trained, is neat in her kennel.   For questions, please email aimiablepetcare@aol.com   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. May 8, 2024, 11:53 am

Story
I adopted Sweet Pea from a rescue in 2015, she is a puppy mill survivor. She is currently about 12 years old and has a very calm, sweet demeanor. She can be playful and rambunctious when encouraged by her brother Tigger (Boston Terrier), and enjoys sleeping and snuggling with anything she can get her paws around. Although I'd very much like to keep Sweet Pea in my home, I'm unable to due to financial hardship. If possible, I'd like to make sure she stays with her brother Tigger, a 10 year Boston Terrier. I'm looking for a home that will give her (and hopefully her brother) an environment they'd thrive in. Both dogs have been very good with children in all their past-experiences. To describe their personality with children (and people in general), Sweet Pea takes a very curious, playful and motherly attitude and Tigger is very much the playful type.

Story
Born November 10, 2020. Very energetic, loves to play. Comes with kennel, food, toys, harness and leash, favorite treats, toothpaste, and brush. He’s very kind and the biggest baby you’ll ever meet. Is completely harmless and has no history of aggression. I graduated and am moving away for school and my parents/family members aren’t capable of taking care of him. It’s getting closer to the school year and I really don’t want to surrender him to a shelter. If you know anyone who’s interested please share this post!

Hello, I bought him when he was a little puppy at a gas station back in 2016. He is currently 6 years old. I'm looking for a caring, loving pet owner who can provide him with a better home and better support as I'm currently experiencing financial instability. He loves children, gets along best with other dogs (if applicable). He's loving, loves attention, playful, and is a big baby. Loves being spoiled, etc.

Story
Hi there! My name is Jack, and I can't wait to tell you all about myself. Woof! I have a wonderful blend of energy and relaxation, making me a great companion for any adventure or cozy snuggle session. When it comes to meeting new people, I'm always excited and interested. Every new face brings me joy, and I can't wait to make new friends.Let's talk about my interactions with other pets. I absolutely adore dogs! I love their playful nature, and I'm always up for a fun romp or game of chase. I tend to be a bit submissive, which means I'm respectful and enjoy the company of other dogs. However, when it comes to cats, well, let's just say we don't see eye to eye. It's best if I'm in a cat-free environment, so we can avoid any potential conflicts.Oh, how I love being petted! I seek out affection and can't resist a good belly rub or cuddle session. It's the perfect way to show me love and make my tail wag with delight. When it comes to my favorite things, I have quite a few! Squeaky tennis balls and stuffed toys always bring out my playful side. I love the challenge of puzzles that stimulate my clever mind. And let's not forget about my love for anything peanut butter - it's like a taste of heaven! Belly scratches and cuddles are high on my list too. There's nothing better than snuggling up next to my favorite human while they work from home. However, I also understand the importance of personal space, so I won't be under your feet all the time.I'm an active pup, and walks are one of my favorite activities. The world is full of exciting smells and new adventures to explore. If you have a fenced-in yard, that would be a dream come true for me. I can imagine myself running and playing to my heart's content. What makes me special is my vibrant personality. I'm a true bundle of joy! I love to play, but I'm also a huge cuddle bug. Roll me over for belly scratches, and you'll witness my hilarious grin - it's sure to bring a smile to your face. I'm simply "happy to be here" and ready to shower you with unconditional love and laughter. When it comes to finding the perfect family, I believe I could fit in anywhere. I get along great with kids and other dogs, spreading happiness wherever I go. So, if you're looking for a playful and affectionate companion who will bring endless smiles and tail wags into your home, I'm your guy!I can't wait to meet my forever family and embark on countless adventures together. Let's create cherished memories and experience the joy of companionship. Adopting me will be a decision you won't regret - I promise to bring love, laughter, and an unwavering loyalty to your family. Let's make each day a tail-wagging, heartwarming adventure! Love,JackP.S. I qualify for the Foster First Program so you can take me home for two weeks to see how we get along before deciding to adopt me.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Hi, I'm Milton and I'm being fostered by a dog trainer who's getting me ship-shape for the lucky people who adopt me. I love to play with toys or just hang out in the backyard with you. My foster mom says I look like a gremlin when I run around the yard, probably because of a big scar across my back. I don't talk about that -- it's in the past and I'm looking forward to a bright future with you! I do like the security of having my own private den (aka crate), especially when you must be away from home or if I eat in the company of other dogs. I may bark a little when you leave, so apartments, townhomes, or condos probably won't work because not all neighbors are understanding. The best part of me is that my foster mom will provide two FREE training sessions to make sure I settle in just perfectly to my new pad. Free training and a laid-back dude like me as your BFF -- that's a deal, right? Age: 2-3 years Weight: 65 lbs Temperament: Prefers calm, routine home and female dogs of the same size. Requires calm/older kids and sturdy adult handlers. Training: House trained, crate trained, knows commands, good off-leash Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Questions: Schelby.Stuckey@gmail.com Adoption Fee: Waived; vet reference, background, and home check required. To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application ( www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption ) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $250; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.May 8, 2024, 11:53 am

Story
Meri desperately needs a foster or forever home! Meri is a sweet, affectionate goober of a Boxer mix that was saved from being euthanized at Dekalb Animal Control. She has been in a temp foster home and we're trying to keep her from going back to the pound.   She is 2 years old, and she loves to play. She also loves people and wants to please. Meri’s happy to follow you around and hang out wherever you are. She’s been through a lot, and we've been working with her to build her confidence and reassurance after being abandoned. She's thriving in her foster home and gaining more and more confidence.   She loves dogs and she loves cars. You don't have to ask her twice to take a car ride. She plays hard and respects when another dog tells her to back off but sometimes, she'll come back again in case they changed their mind and want to play. If she lives with another dog, it would be best if that dog is playful like her.   She is shy and timid with new people, and she will bark at them initially. If you ignore her, she stops barking pretty quickly and then she wants to be your best friend. She would benefit from a compassionate foster or adopter that would help her know she is safe. She makes friends for life, so once she meets you, you’re in. She thrives in a home with a routine. She would make a great running, walking, hiking partner and has no problem keeping up.   She is so sweet. She is housetrained and crate trained and goes in her crate easily. She likes to have some toys in her crate when she has to be in there. She has no food or toy guarding issues and she is non-destructive. She is very affectionate and eager to please and she loves snuggles. She is very treat/food motivated and takes food gently from your hand. She is very easy to train. Please consider giving this sweet girl a chance. Thank you!   Age: 2 years   Weight: 48 lbs Temperament: Gets along with all adults and older respectful kids, dogs around her size.  Training: House trained and Crate-trained. Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention.   For questions about Maizie, please email,   aimiablepetcare@aol.com.  &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
