Story
Bruiser was picked up by Newton Co. Animal Control over a month ago. No one came to claim him and nor did he get adopted. Then after a month in a loud kennel he started have a mental decline & became depressed & it showed when he went out to play. He didn’t want to be with other dogs & didn’t want to play. The decision was made that he had to be out by Monday or other actions would take place. After seeing this poor guy, we decided to pull him into the rescue. He is a chill, older male boxer, about 5-7 yrs old, 65lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated & will be microchipped. When he came out of his cage, he was excited & definitely knew what a vehicle was because he jumped right up in the truck, laid down like a gentleman and enjoyed the ride. He knows the sit and shake command and is housebroken. He is not good with cats but is good with other dogs. If you would like to meet Bruiser please make an appointment with the front desk. An adoption application and interview are required for adoption. Adoption fee $250. Located in Covington, GA. Would be interested in finding a foster home in the meantime.

Story
Chico (aka Chi Chi) has a zest for life and is always ready to play! He's on the lookout for a forever home that can match his turbocharged vibes. Ideally, his new owner would be just as lively and ready for walks or fun park hangouts as he is. This clever pup is quick on the uptake, responding to his name and a whole bunch of cool commands like sit, lay down, come, and leave it. While he might start off a bit bashful, once he warms up, he's a social butterfly, eager to make friends and have a blast. And don't worry, even in his shy moments, Chico's all about love and play, no hint of aggression in sight! Age: 4 years   Weight: 55 lbs  Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative.  Temperament:  Good with dogs and probably older sturdy kids because of his energy level. Training: House-trained and knows commands For questions about Chico, please email dtv.diyora@gmail.com  To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.June 24, 2025, 2:34 pm

Story
Trevor is about 4 1/2 years old. He was a rescue and is a lovable, affectionate good boy. We are not able to give him the exercise and interaction he really needs due to our health. We are aging and will be moving to a much smaller place in late December. Trevor would do well with an active, loving owner. He’s good with other dogs, but not cats. He would be fine with kids who are of school age, but he loves to jump and is quite strong, so I’m not sure how he would be with infants/toddlers. We hope for someone to love him as much as we do, but who has more energy for this active boy. (Neutered and updated on vaccinations) He also loves to snuggle and gives great kisses!

Story
This is Hank. He is a stray that showed up on our back porch several months ago. Vet said he is anywhere from 2-4 years old. Boxer mix. We planned on keeping him but unfortunately him and our other male dog do not get along ever since we’ve brought our newborn home. It has become too risky having them coexist while I’m home alone with the baby during the week. He needs to be the only dog in his forever home unless he receives some training from the new owner. He is very clingy, energetic and protective. He’s potty/crate trained and vaccinated. We are desperate to find him the perfect home but are running out of time and options.

Story
🐾 Meet Harley! Harley is a 5-year-old Boxer/Pit mix with a heart as big as her smile! This sweet girl is the perfect blend of affectionate snuggle bug and playful companion. She loves being close to her humans, curling up on a cozy blanket or dog bed after a good walk or play session. Harley is naturally submissive and eager to please, and she’s already housetrained, crate-trained, and knows her basic commands (she’s even a proud PetSmart puppy training graduate!). Harley gets along wonderfully with cats and other dogs and has never met a person she doesn’t greet with enthusiasm — though she’s still working on not jumping up when she gets excited. She’s full of love, kisses, and joy, and she’ll thrive in an active home that includes her in the fun. Harley also does well with children, making her a great fit for a variety of loving households. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and plenty of tail wags, Harley is your girl! 💕 To adopt, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-application/ For information about adoption fee, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-fees/ To learn about the adoption process, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-process/ ** Please note that the breeds listed are our best guesses based on physical appearance and behavioral traits.
