Story
2 years ago Sampson and his sister Luna came to us as fosters. This dog is loved. However lovable and obedient he is(and he is), he is reactive and has bitten Luna over a toy. He has been in a fight with another dog. That dog did walk into our home unannounced. He did bite the hand of the other owner when she stuck it between them. My landlord wanted him put down. My vet will not euthanize him because of the circumstances of the fight and because she knows him. He loves people. Especially his people. His top concerns are me, food, me, bone, me, squirrel!, me. Sampson needs a single dog home with someone experienced enough to control him in a bad situation AND responsible enough to keep him out of those situations. Sampson is alert, attentive, intelligent and has been a great friend. He likes routine, running in his yard and a “good-boy bone “to wind down with. He needs his own bed bc a. Less opportunity for power struggles and b. He’s a bed hog.

Story
Charlotte is a sweet girl that needs a quiet and loving home. She is a bit nervous with new people, especially men. She does warm up with time, patience and treats. This cutie is good with other dogs, but would do best with dogs that are not all up in her grill. She is working on housebreaking in her foster home and doing quite well. A fenced yard would be her dream so that she can go outside in the summer and bask in the sun and maybe chase a squirrel or two. Please check out our adoption process & on-line application here: https://www.newhopepetrescue.com/Adoption Fee for dogs cover the following vetting:1. DJ is a smart, confident 2.5 year old boys who loves jerky treats and zooming around the yard. He loves people and is gentle with kids and babies. He is crate trained, potty trained, knows sit and kennel commands. He is microchipped and fully vetted. He does great at the groomer and the boarding kennel. He would do great in a fenced yard, slow introduction to other dogs. He does fine with indoor cats and his dog sister. DJ is a great companion and loves to snuggle and get tummy scratches.

Story
Vaeda has always been a sweet, sweet girl. She's a 6 year old brindle, boxer mix, and knows how to use her paws when she plays. Her and I recently moved from a household where it was just us to a household with 3 little ones and it's been a little too tough for her to adapt. The ideal household for her would have a bit of a yard to walk around in and be the only animal in the home, at least until she can be eased into it. She's pretty low maintenance, but someone an open day schedule would be best. She's regularly really quiet, but will bark at the doorbell (as one does). She gets used to other dogs, but some patience is definitely required. She's the type of girl that just wants to come and cuddle at all times. I have a large crate and blankets that she very used to and will definitely provide to whoever can give her a great home. She very smart and definitely food motivated, to the point where she knows the word treat. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask
