Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Chica! I am about 5 or 6 years old and I weigh about 55 lbs. My foster mom says I am a happy-go-lucky girl and a joy to have around. I always know how to make her smile. I have lived with kids in the past. Some people call me a "low rider" because I kind of have a pitty face, but short beagle legs and body. I guess that also makes me "cute" because I get called that a lot as well! I generally I don't chew on things that aren't mine and I don't tend to destroy my stuffed toys. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I don't get too much practice since currently I have a fenced in yard. I would love a walking buddy because my foster mom says I'm getting thicc. lol If you are interested in meeting me and taking care and loving me, please fill out an application or you can email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org My adoption fee has been sponsored! and includes all my vetting up to date, some food and treats, toy, leash and collar. Thank you for considering a special girl like me to let me live out my golden years. All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! I used to live outside and nobody paid me any attention, so now that I am rescued, I would love to have a patient family of my own. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Oreo! I'm a super happy go lucky and good boy! I spent the first part of my life living outside until some very nice people came and rescued me. Now I know what it's like to feel loved and cared for and it's the best! I love everyone I meet and I am looking for a family of my very own. I walk nicely on a leash and I love to play. Cuddling with people is my favorite though. I am neutered and up to date on my vaccinations and prevention. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application. Story
Kiki is our most famous Mama !! She is the proud mother to our Brew City puppies; she is an amazing mama, and one of the cutest creatures we have ever met. We adore her so much. Kiki is a 50 pound, 7 year old Staffy Mix with the cutest face and the most loving brown eyes. She loves sun bathing, naps and cuddle sessions and playing with her doggie roomies. Kiki can be a touch shy around men at first, but warms up very quickly. Kiki is house trained; she prefers not to be crated, although she is perfect when left out of her crate ! She does very well with other dogs and humans of all ages. Kiki is spayed and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Kiki apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Story
Sonny is 9 months old. He was abandoned in Memphis, TN in March 2023, so I took him in to live with my other dog and me. His favorite part of each day is breakfast - he sits and waits patiently for each meal. Sonny is always happy to meet new people and dogs, but would likely thrive as an only pet in the home. He is strong-willed and would do best with a firm owner who can be strict with him. Over the past few months, Sonny has taken to house training and basic commands. He is highly trainable, loyal, and food-motivated. Aside from the occasional nap, Sonny loves swimming and playing all day. He has a curious nature and likes to explore. Sonny would do best in a home where someone can provide him daily exercise and one-on-one attention. He is a care-free little guy, but might benefit from a consistent routine.

Story
Ari, is a black Staffordshire. She loves to cuddle, she will make you pet her for hours. She is a rescue from a family friend , she was caged up for most of her life & not really exposed to many things so she can be pretty stubborn. Ari would prefer to be the only dog in the home IF there are going to be female dogs, she doesn’t mind males, she’s just old and grumpy. she loves to go for walks, I’m not sure of her age, she might be around 7 years old. I prefer somewhere where she is loved & shown patience. Somewhere with land… she loves hard & just wants to be by your side.
