Story
Beautiful Frankie is looking for someone to love her more than anything. She is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 41 pounds. Frankie is so sweet, calm and just a treasure. She is our shy girl who just loves to stay close to you. What a perfect sit and down she has too. Frankie is quite submissive though, the poor muffin, she tucks her cute tail and cowers when she is a little overwhelmed. She will also drop to the floor and scoot to you on her stomach when she is scared. This tender soul will need an experienced adopter who has the time and patience to build her confidence and trust. Frankie will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old due to her shy, insecure nature. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Frankie would love to meet them. Frankie was just so sweet when meeting a dog smaller than her, she made herself small and laid down on the ground to get to the other dog's level. Then she likes to “check in” with you too. If you are interested in Frankie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
**Twinkie is in a foster home and not at the shelter** Hey there, I'm Twinkie! No, not the sweet treat, but I'm just as delightful. I'm playful, goofy, and curious. I might stumble around a bit, but that's just part of my charm. I have done fabulous with potty and crate training. I’ve even been left alone uncrated for about 3 hours with no issues too. My foster mom say she misses me too much to leave me any longer. I'm quite the chatterbox, always ready to share my thoughts. If you've had a long day, don't worry, you won’t have to say a word with me around. Everyday is an adventure with me. My foster mom says I am such a sponge taking so many new things in and I’m doing really great. I do enjoy car rides but I would love a little nudge to help me get into the car. My favorite game is playing fetch. Have two toys ready and we can keep the game going for a little while until it’s nap time. My foster mom says the cutest thing I do is chew/suck on my blankie. I tend to do that when I am tired or needing to self sooth. She says it reminds her of a toddler sucking his thumb. I really like other dogs a lot! When I am around other dogs I do tire out very fast and exhaustion sets in quickly. Honestly as much as I love them I think I would be best as the only dog in the household. I’m looking for a home that can provide me with stability and guidance as well as love and praise. A daily structured routine would be awesome for me so I’m not always guessing what will be next. I’m a creature of habit for sure! So I’m thinking everyone in the home should be teenagers or older so we can all establish our household routines together. I'm ready to fill your life with laughter and lots of tail wags. Adopt me and let's make our own fun-filled adventures together! Apply at k9stray.com and my friends at k9 will be in touch.

Story
**Felon is in a foster home and not living at the kennel** What a hunk of love Felon is! He is about to steal your heart. Felon's birthday is October 19, 2018 and he weighs approximately 73 pounds. Through no fault of his own, Felon has found himself back at the rescue after being adopted from us as a puppy, due to family medical issues. He is grieving his family and hoping to find his forever family very soon. Felon is well-mannered, playful and connecting, what a sweetie! The cutest thing ever is he does a nice sit pretty for treats and also does a happy dance when meeting new people. He just loves tennis balls (really any ball) too and easily relinquishes them. Felon loves cuddling, playing ball or tug, chewing bones and watching out the window. He is afraid of staircases and really wants to chase the outside kitties. Felon was a year old when his human brother was born and did exceptionally well with him. They were best of friends. Felon's foster home has three kids ages 11, 13 and 14. He is wonderful with the kids and all visitors. Children age 8 and older would be the best fit for a gentleman like Felon. Felon was raised with a female and male dog whom he lived with for 5 years. He is currently in a home with two female dogs. He initially wanted to mount them but they told him no, so he now enjoys simply stacking with the girls (if you own a bully mix, you know). Any dogs in the home will need an introduction prior to adoption. Felon sleeps through the night, is crate trained and stands by the door to go potty outside. However, his foster family has missed a couple signals which has led to accidents in the home. These shall diminish as he becomes more regulated with a known schedule and the humans aware of his potty times. He does not mark the home. Felon prefers to cuddle with the man of the house as he grew up being a daddy's boy. Although, he does love everyone equally. If you are interested in Felon and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying*

Story
**in a foster home and not at the kennel** Howdy, folks! Name’s Yeehaw! I ain’t your ordinary dog, no siree! My life is like a comedy show, full of twists and turns. So, how did I end up here? Well, I was playing fetch with a donut. Yes, a donut! I ran into a police station, thinking it was a game. Next thing I know, I am being escorted to the shelter. Can you believe that? They thought I was a donut thief! I was just hungry. Now I’m looking for a new home, where the food is plenty and the love never ends. If you are up for some fun, laughter, and endless games of fetch then I’m your dog! I’m super friendly and like other dogs. I am not much for long walks. I prefer fun and games. Sadly, fun and games is what got me here in the first place. Some structure and consistency in my world would be great for me! My mugshot doesn’t say it but I’m about 2 years old and around 40 Lbs. Since I now have a record as a thief (I plead the fifth!), I will need an adult only home who can help me work on trading instead of stealing food and treats! If you got what I need to help me change my ways and keep me on the straight and narrow path then come meet me! I’ll be in my jail cell at k9. Feel free to pre-submit an application for me at k9stray.com and one of my wardens will contact you. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

Story
**In a foster home and not at the shelter** This girly pop needs a home! Meet Venetian, we call her Vinnie for short! This snuggle bug loves laps, balls, pillows, dogs, cats, kids... Let's just say life! Vinnie does well in the car and is amazing in new situations, such as a walk through the trails, meeting new people, live music... You name it, she's enjoying it. She's so easy to train. She knows sit, come, "not yours", off and is nearly 100% potty trained. (She only had one accident day one, if that even counts 😎) She can be a bit jumpy so a home where kids are 8+ would be best! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.* If you think Venetian could be a good match and you are over 21 years old, send in an application at k9stray.com. Venetian foster mom will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend...hopefully it’s Venetian!

Story
Be prepared, these soulful eyes will get you good! Sweet Taffie is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs 45 pounds. If you are looking for a cuddle muffin partner, Taffie would like to put in her application! She yearns to be close to people, whether it’s for a warm embrace or a cozy spot on the couch. She is the perfect companion for a quiet evening in, or a low-key adventure outside. Taffie can be a little shy and submissive though, she would really benefit from some leadership and confidence building. This sweet girl only wants to please you, it will be wonderful to watch her blossom into a confident young lady. She may prefer a quieter, more predictable type home where any children are at least 8 years old, to match her shy, quiet personality. Taffie is so easy to love and a joy to be around, she is going to make some lucky family very happy. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Taffie would love to meet them. She has a soft, loose, submissive approach with other dogs. She really comes out of her shell with other dogs, another friendly dog in the home may help with her confidence building. If you are interested in Taffie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
