This handsome senior terrier/pittie mix, weighing around 70 pounds, was rescued from a Georgia animal control facility after being placed on the "urgent list" through no fault of his own. He quickly became a staff favorite and found his way to safety in NJ with EHR. Pascal is known for his mellow, low-key demeanor and makes a wonderful companion. He’s obedient, sweet, and friendly with all people. Despite his gentle nature, he isn't a fan of cats and would do best as the only pet in your home. He’s well-behaved, knows the sit command, and enjoys going for relaxing car rides as your faithful co-pilot. This is Jake! He is a sweet, cuddly lovebug looking for his forever home. We believe Jake to be no more than two years old. He is super playful and high energy. He can run 3 miles in 21 minutes! His ideal home would be with someone who runs or hikes and wants a four-legged partner in crime for their adventures. He also loves to walk and run on the treadmill. He gets along great with other dogs, especially those who have high energy like him and like to wrestle and play rough. He'd be an amazing agility dog if anyone is looking for that. He can sit, lay down and high-five (his personal favorite). Jake is SUPER food motivated and eager to please, so he is very trainable. As food motivated as he is, he has zero resource guarding. He doesn't even resource guard his toys and those are his second favorite thing in life right behind cuddles. He always wants to have a toy in his mouth. He is house broken and has gone up to 10hrs before with no accidents! He is not a fan of cats. He's also not the biggest fan of being crated but he isn't destructive, so he gets to hang out loose in the house when his foster Mom is gone. He can be crated short periods of time as needed, but he is great loose in the house. He is a super snuggle bug and he loves to be on top of you. He also grunts when he is happy! He is fostering in a home with an older, easily stressed small dog and 2 kittens - Indy has too much interest in the kittens so this is not the ideal situation. We think this pup’s ideal home would be as a solo pet or possibly as a sibling to another large dog. He is super friendly, playful, energetic, and sweet. He loves people, loves to be active, and enjoys playing fetch though he may get distracted here and there. He’s very lovable! He is easy to bathe and does great in the car. He is very food and treat motivated so we believe he will take to additional training well. He has a big heart and has a lot of love to give to anyone who wants to love him right back. We think he will make a great adventure buddy for a lucky person or family! Working with him on sitting and leash training. He does well in the bath and the car Age: approx 3-4 years Weight: 70 lbs, underweight, working on improving that Temperament: Gets along with with older kids, not tested with toddlers, other dogs his size, with proper introduction.
