Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Harlow is a 4 yr old female American Staffordshire Terrier. She is an absolute love bug and loves all people big and small. She loves to greet you with a wiggly butt and will climb in your lap any chance she gets. Harlow had a tough life before coming to the rescue. She was found wandering the streets with another dog and then ended up on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. She was pulled from the shelter just in the nick of time and boy is she thankful.   Since coming to the rescue Harlow is learning what it is like to feel safe and secure. Harlow is continuing to work hard on her housebreaking skills. Sometimes when she feels insecure she puts on a tough girl act. This is especially true when it comes to other dogs. Some dogs she acts big and tough with and others she gravitates towards them and wants to mother them. Harlow is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vetting.Harlow likes to be close to you and loves to get all the cuddles. She loves, loves her treats and is just waiting for her forever family to find her. **To complete an application please go to http://www.arrfnc.com/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.For more information and to submit an application, got to www.arrfnc.com. Story
Caring for my 84 year old grandmother now which, unfortunately, has minimized the time I have for my fur baby. She's spending most of her time at day care until I can find a loving home for her. Princess is great around people as well as kids but does get anxiety around other dogs until she knows it's safe.

Story
Bea is a 6 year old 55 lb bundle of joy. If I had to choose one word to describe her it would be “goober”. We rescued her from the county shelter in early 2020. She was brought to the shelter as a stray but clearly had an owner before because she was potty trained and crate trained. Bea’s favorite hobby is sleeping, especially in the sun, closely followed by cuddling with anyone and everyone that she can. She has a ton of personality and expresses herself through eyebrow raises, whining, and the occasional paw on your leg. She likes about 30 minutes of exercise each day and spends the rest of her time lounging around. Bea has had trouble adapting to our newborn and she generally doesn’t get along well with other dogs, so she is best suited for a house with no small children or pets. I want her to find a loving home that prioritizes her, gives her lots of cuddles and cheese, and lets her snooze her days away.

Story
Stevie is a 2 year old, female pittie who is an absolute snuggle bug. She’s got the pit attitude so if you try to tell her no she might talk back! She loves to play, SUPER goofy house hippo. We’ve loved our time with her but unfortunately my sister is no longer able to care for her due to health reasons and we need to find this precious love bug a new home. She is spayed, and fully house/crate trained but may need updated vaccines. She is very dog friendly, not reactive at all on walks with dogs who are strangers. We have 6 kids that she has been around regularly and is amazing with them. She will make the perfect family girl.

Story
Valor is the type of dog that you grow old with…he’s a great companion….maybe it’s because he had a rough start to life…starved and left to fend for himself…maybe he knows how it feels to be alone and never wants anyone to experience that…whatever the reason for him having a big heart, we love him for it. Valor is 2 years old, housetrained, crate trained, and rides well in a car!

Story
This sweet face belongs to Nova... and sadly Nova no longer belongs to anyone. You see, her owner passed away almost a year ago and since that time, she has been moved from friend to friend, all trying to care for her, but none have really been in the position to do so. So, now she is here and we are going to help her find her forever. This beautiful 1 year 3 month old black Staffordshire mix is known to be friendly with both children and other dogs, and you know we ALWAYS recommend meet and greets with both, prior to adoption. She needs consistency and training (refreshers) on being housebroken. It is undetermined if she was crate trained before, as the friends found that she didn`t seem to be with them. We have to remember that she did experience a major loss and then a lot of changes as a result of and in addition to that loss, to all of which she is still trying to adjust. And now add to that that she is here with us for yet another unexpected and strange change in her life. She just needs that family who is going to be patient, consistent in working with her and not give up on her. We know they are out there and we know they will find one another! If you think you can provide this loving and beautiful 53.40 pound girl a forever home, please come and meet her in person!
