Story
Hi, I`m Tia and I am a 1-year-old Staffordshire girl with a beautiful brindle coat. I get pretty rambunctious the first time I meet someone but once I settle down, I am a very regal girl who will calmly sit by your side. I need a daily run, walk or long game of fetch to burn off that puppy energy. I must admit I’m good at getting a toy but not great at giving it back yet. I love to sit in the sun and have my tummy rubbed or my rear end scratched and in general love affection. I really need someone to take the time to train me because I really like to please if you give me the chance.

While we don`t know his full history, Stuart is ready for a new life. He will need an owner who is willing to work at his pace and teach him. We are unsure how he is with other dogs than just June.

Story
Bea is a 6 year old 55 lb bundle of joy. If I had to choose one word to describe her it would be “goober”. We rescued her from the county shelter in early 2020. She was brought to the shelter as a stray but clearly had an owner before because she was potty trained and crate trained. Bea’s favorite hobby is sleeping, especially in the sun, closely followed by cuddling with anyone and everyone that she can. She has a ton of personality and expresses herself through eyebrow raises, whining, and the occasional paw on your leg. She likes about 30 minutes of exercise each day and spends the rest of her time lounging around. Bea has had trouble adapting to our newborn and she generally doesn’t get along well with other dogs, so she is best suited for a house with no small children or pets. I want her to find a loving home that prioritizes her, gives her lots of cuddles and cheese, and lets her snooze her days away.

Story
Sweet GiGi needs an active family who likes to hike, run, walk, and play! She is super good girl, does well with dogs her size or larger and is gorgeous too! No felines though, she is not fond of them at all! She is petite pittie at only around 38 lbs. She would love to go on a run with you and then come back and snuggle. If she is the girl for you, please fill out our on line application RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. ( we are in Cleveland County NC) Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Harlow is a 4 yr old female American Staffordshire Terrier. She is an absolute love bug and loves all people big and small. She loves to greet you with a wiggly butt and will climb in your lap any chance she gets. Harlow had a tough life before coming to the rescue. She was found wandering the streets with another dog and then ended up on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. She was pulled from the shelter just in the nick of time and boy is she thankful.   Since coming to the rescue Harlow is learning what it is like to feel safe and secure. Harlow is continuing to work hard on her housebreaking skills. Sometimes when she feels insecure she puts on a tough girl act. This is especially true when it comes to other dogs. Some dogs she acts big and tough with and others she gravitates towards them and wants to mother them. Harlow is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vetting.Harlow likes to be close to you and loves to get all the cuddles. She loves, loves her treats and is just waiting for her forever family to find her. **To complete an application please go to http://www.arrfnc.com/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.For more information and to submit an application, got to www.arrfnc.com. contact foster parent at nomagicpill+foster@protonmail.comBreakfast and dinner are the best things ever. Want my attention or need me to do something? That rattling box of dog cookies isn’t going to eat itself! Let’s just say I’m treat-motivated. I also like a rubber Kong, a Nylabone ring, or a good ol’ filled bone. I’ve also been known to play a friendly game of tug-of-war with a rope toy, but I leave furniture, shoes, and other human things alone.I`m still learning how to greet and be around other animals, so it`s probably best that I`m the only one in your life, mainly so I can have all the toys. Humans of all sizes are a-okay, though! If I do meet another doggo, it should be very slow and with a lot of distance between us to start..I am a champion car-rider. I read the room and match its energy. I tolerate a crate, but I still get a little nervous when my human leaves (those chew toys do help). Bottom line: I won’t takeup much room except in your heart–it’s all mine!

Princess is a low rider Bulldog mix. She is very food motivated and does become fixated on food. Princess needs help with self-regulation as she does tend to get over stimulated easily. Princess would much rather be outside in the play yard than her kennel. We are working on leash manners right now! She is a senior lady who needs some extra support and patience! We are not sure how Princess would do with children, or small animals. She shows interest in wanting to go for car rides!
