Story
Carly is a wonderful dog who is extremely smart and well tuned to her humans' emotions. She loves giving and receiving affection, and will often reach up and give you hugs. She is great with dogs her own size or larger, but I would not recommend her to be in the same household with cats or dogs under 30 lbs. She knows basic commands and is easily trained. She's great on a leash. Carly wants to be with her humans all the time, unless it's to play with her dog friends! She'd happily share her home with dogs her own size or larger, though I'm sure she'd have no problem being the center of attention as well! We are looking to rehome her because we are dealing with a huge loss in our household and she is very sensitive to our emotions. Carly deserves to be happy and stress-free, and we cannot give her that for the foreseeable future. She deserves to go to a home and family where she is safe, loved, happy and whole.

Hi there! My name is Asher, and I’m a lively two-month-old puppy looking for my forever home. I promise to bring endless joy and wagging tails to your life! I'm as sweet as can be and love to play all day long. My favorite activities include chasing after toys, cuddling up for a nap, and giving lots of puppy kisses. I'm curious and eager to explore the world with you by my side. If you're ready for a bundle of happiness wrapped in a little tail-wagger, then I might just be the perfect fit for your family. Let's make memories together! 🐾❤️

Story
We rescued this lovely girl a month ago from animal control. She has been amazing for me (walking and cuddling) but she has unfortunately killed a chick (our fault) and now had attacked our young rooster. She needs a home without cats or chickens. She is great with our other two dogs, seems leash trained and crate trained if she needs it, but really doesn’t. Sweetheart of a companion that travels well and is very social. She’s a husky-boxer mix (we did the dna thing) Can you help? We love her but I cant rehome the chickens. It breaks our hearts. She is so kind, but she is a dog that wants to chase birds. We don’t blame her, it’s just her nature, but our adult autistic daughter can no longer deal with the anxiety and she’s been traumatized. Fenced yard is a big thing we want for her. She loves to run. We think she once was the pet of someone who took her running often, the shelter had her as a stray. Please help us give her the life she deserves.

Story
My Ali was a gift for Fathers day 4 years ago. He has been a wonderful friend. I have been divorced now 2 years . The place I live in now is considerably smaller than the house my wife and I shared. Its just me and I work 2 jobs. I owe him so much more of a life than I am able to give him right now. He enjoys the out doors , he loves to play tug of war , and a good belly rub. He loves interacting with people and never meets a stranger. ( crying as I write this out ) He has a lovely spirit.

Story
Breed: Boxer / American Bulldog? maybe? Size: Large; currently 70+ lbs Estimated Birthday: 3/2/2020 House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes, and kennels on command! Kid-Friendly: Needs a home with kids over 12 years --============================== Bella Vida is looking for her perfect family! She is a 3 or 4 year old Bulldog mix weighing about 85-90 lbs. This silly girl ate a sock and her previous owner could not afford the surgery. C2CND stepped in and rescued her. She’s a high energy dog who would do best with a fence and a privacy fence would be even better. She will bark when she needs to go outside. Bella is crate and potty trained. She is a very affectionate dog once she warms up to you and really needs a patient, assertive owner who will work with her. She also needs an active family who exercises her frequently. Her foster notices that Bella’s behavior is heavily influenced by the amount of exercise/activity she receives and her anxiety levels. Bella would fetch a ball for hours if you let her. She does go on walks but sometimes gets distracted. She loves to snuggle and be near her human. She also likes to chew on bones (Benebones seems to be her favorite). Her foster says Bella is a dominant personality who is dog selective and dog aggressive. Bella is still working on her leash skills, while she does well on the leash most of the time, she can be easily distracted. Slow introductions are best. Bella would fit best with a family with teenagers or no young kids and as the only dog. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Bella Vida is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Remy is our very own "Diva," fur-baby. We acquired her from a family member who is also a breeder. She is a few months passed 2y/o. Born 11/10/2022. Our ideal new home for her would be one full of love, and affection. She is full of energy and loves kids. Nothing excites her more than the sound of kids' laughter along with her food bowl being filled. She is house-trained and is familiar with basic commands. She is also very protective and will most assuredly alert you to someone pulling up in the driveway. A quick sniff for recognition purposes and she's back to minding her own business. Call her name and she can't get to you quick enough in her mind so be prepared for the quick sound of paws hurrying in your direction for some kisses and belly rubs.

Story
Nyla is a beautiful, strong, and affectionate dog who forms deep bonds with her people. She loves going on walks, playing ball, and being close to those she trusts. While she can be very loving and enjoys giving kisses, Nyla needs a calm, structured home with no other pets or small children. She has a high energy drive and can become overstimulated easily, so her ideal family will be experienced with large breeds and committed to providing ongoing leadership, exercise, and boundaries. Nyla thrives with confident, calm handlers and would do best in a home where she’s the only pet. She is crate-trained, leash-savvy, and would make a loyal companion for someone who understands her needs and can offer her the consistency she craves.

Story
Meet Cara! Cara is the embodiment of a "house hippo", compact and strong but a big playful and cuddly baby with the signature pittie wiggle and a great smile.  Cara just wants all of your hugs and kisses, whether sitting on your lap, the couch or chasing a tennis ball, she will be your best friend! She loves squeaky toys and bones, happily content to lay at your feet with a treat.  Cara is curious about cats but isn't bothered by them in the least. She is very good with kids of all ages but sudden movements or loud noises can make her jumpy, she is not a fan of thunder or fireworks! Cara is great with other dogs.  She loves to wrestle with dogs her size, run along side them like a gazelle or lay out in the grass enjoying the sun together. She can be a little playful upon meeting a new friend but generally calms down after some energy is expelled.  Cara is crate, potty trained and leash trained, however, she is very strong and will need someone that can handle her if she pulls. Cara is an all around sweetheart who would thrive with another dog her size or just being an only dog with an owner that will give her all of the love she craves.  NOTE:  Cara has tested HW positive and has been treated.  HW is not contagious to other dogs and other than a follow up vet visit in 6 months, there is no additional burden on the adopter. Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
