Story

Snowy is an absolute sweetheart who loves to cuddle and be held. She is a little timid at first but she warms up quickly and once she does she is full of personality; very curious and adventurous! She loves doing zoomies around the yard with her brother and foster siblings, chewing on the big dogs bones and playing with squeaker toys. Snowy is doing great with potty training and crate training. We are also working on basic manners. She has interacted with her foster families cats and ducks and been very respectful. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. Puff is a ~2-year-old pittie mix with a heart of gold who was saved from Animal Care & Control just in time, with his euthanasia deadline quickly approaching. Since coming into rescue, he’s shown nothing but love, resilience, and a sweet, eager-to-please personality. Puff is incredibly smart and learning quickly in his foster home. He’s already making great progress with his manners, house training, crate training, and leash training. His foster has been working closely with him on leash walking, as he’s shown some mild reactivity, but he’s improving every day and responds well to guidance and consistency. This sweet boy loves to play just as much as he loves to cuddle. He enjoys being around people and does well with other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for an active and loving home. We haven’t had Puff in the rescue too long yet, so we’re still getting to know all the little things that make him special, but one thing is certain: he is truly the sweetest boy and so deserving of a forever home. She’s about 40 pounds with a shorter, compact build, and truly the definition of a companion dog, happy just being by your side. Indie absolutely loves people. She’s affectionate, calm, and happiest when she’s curled up next to you soaking in all the pets and attention. While she has a soft, mellow demeanor, she’s also started to show a playful side as she continues to come out of her shell, it’s been so special watching her learn how to just be a dog.
