Story
Reese is a sweet 2.5-year-old, 66-pound terrier mix with the most beautiful light tan coat. Reese is quite the snuggle bug! She lives for scritches and snoot kisses. She’s officially house broken and kennel trained. Reese has picked up on appropriate manners at meal time (her second favorite time of day) and basic commands. She’s shy around new people, but quickly warns up if they offer pets or cheese. She loves to play and wrestle before taking a good nap. She’s not a chewer, but does love to carry her stuffies around. She’s been fascinated by the guinea pig, she’ll sit and watch her for hours, but has never been aggressive towards her. Our cats have steered clear of her, but she hasn’t shown much interest in them. She needs a good home with a playmate and a decent yard or daily walks. She’d be the perfect family dog, she’s very loving and gentle.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Available in TX only! Granger, a 54-pound young adult rescue dog, embodies a unique blend of traits that make him an endearing companion. Initially cautious around strangers, he blossoms into a loyal and affectionate friend once he establishes trust. His wide-set, beautiful eyes are a distinctive feature, complemented by charmingly bow-legged stature reminiscent of a bulldog. Granger thrives in the company of other dogs, eagerly seeking opportunities to snuggle and play with his furry pals. His social nature extends to adoring kids, showcasing gentle and amiable behavior around them. A testament to his adaptability, Granger is both kennel and potty trained, demonstrating discipline and understanding of boundaries. While initially uneasy with car rides, he is gradually becoming more comfortable, displaying resilience and openness to new experiences. He underwent a vaccine regimen to stop the progression of the fungus. He will require that vaccine annually. Despite his medical condition, he continues to thrive and love life! His gradual acclimatization to car rides mirrors his overall willingness to embrace change and learn. Granger's journey from a hesitant newcomer to a beloved companion reflects his resilient spirit and willingness to form deep connections. In essence, Granger is an amiable, adaptable, and affectionate dog whose gradual warmth towards strangers underscores his loyalty and trustworthiness once he embraces friendship. His love for canine and human companionship, along with his charming features and gentle demeanor, make him a cherished addition to any loving home. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Meet Magnet – Looking for His Steel… Could It Be You? 🧲🐾 Magnet is a 2.5-year-old, 35-pound bundle of joy, charm, and wiggles (butt wiggles, that is) – and he’s on the lookout for his perfect human connection. Could you be his missing piece? With a shiny coat that glows in the sunlight (seriously, you might need sunglasses 😎), Magnet is as stunning as he is sweet. He’s a tad bit shy at first meet but when he loves he loves with his whole being (he shakes that stubby so hard his whole body wiggles)!! He loves his people both tall and small, and he’s happiest just hanging out with his humans – whether it’s playtime, snuggle time, or adventure time. Magnet’s favorite things include: 🌊 Playing in water (he recently discovered it and is hooked!) 🐾 Going on walks and exploring the world 🧸 Chewing tough toys like a pro 💤 Napping like a champ after a day of fun 🐶 Making friends with other dogs – big or small, he gets along with everyone! He’s shown no prey drive, so he may even do well with cats (with proper introductions, of course). More than anything, Magnet just wants to be your loyal shadow, tagging along for all of life’s best moments (his magnet to your steel!). He’s a “living-life-large” kind of pup, always game for the next belly rub or backyard romp. If you’re ready for a companion who’s goofy, loving, and endlessly devoted, Magnet might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt at haydudequine.org – Magnet is ready to stick by your side, wherever life takes you! 💙
