Story
Roscoe is a stunning 6-year-old brindle American Staffordshire Terrier who has been part of our family since he was a puppy. He is neutered, house-trained, and crate-trained, making him a well-behaved companion. Full of energy, Roscoe loves his daily walks and enjoys playing with his toys, especially in his favorite game of keep-away. His affectionate and loyal nature shines through in his cuddles and protective instincts, and he communicates his feelings with playful barks and gentle nudges. While he isn’t friendly with cats and prefers to be the dominant male dog in our home, he thrives on attention and would flourish in a loving household with a backyard where he can run and play. Roscoe is truly a wonderful companion ready to bring joy to a new family.

Ladybug LOVES people, she has never met a stranger and identifies as a Lap dog. She is bouncy and energetic, but loves to snuggle and loves attention. She is pretty strong and is working on her leash manners, she rides very well in the car and is house and crate trained. She is smart and loves treats, especially Peanut Butter. She is learning how to run next to a bike for exercise - and while she loves to run short distances, she is "built for feed, not for speed". She is very friendly with all people she meets, is pretty exuberant when her family comes home, a.k.a. jumpy and is slowly learning to control that impulse. She is overall pretty quiet and only barks briefly at valid causes, like doorbell ringing. Ladybug is a little reactive when she first meets new dogs, mostly do to her excitement of meeting new dogs, and she bounces their energy back - if they are rude, so is she. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, one she wants to play with (he doesn't) and the other she stays clear of (grumpy dog). She is interested in the cats, chases if they run, sniffs and walks away if they don't run. At this time she is looking for a home with a rather strong handler as she is a bit of a "house hippo" and pulls rather strong on the leash when walking.  ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets*** ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***

Story
Showed up lethargic, ribs/spine showing, with a limp, matted eyes and a cut face. 1-2 yrs old. Healthy, happy, loving and VERY energetic! Haven't seen him with kids but he hangs out with chihuahuas,a husky, a Great Pyrenees & flock of chickens(neighbors). He's friendly & smart. No resource guarding. Not food motivated. He wants to be 100% in the middle of anything you're doing. Fave game is steal the hat.Loves chasing balloons, tug of war and his toys.Athletic. He'd probably be amazing on an agility course. Loads up in the truck in a heartbeat for a ride. Comes running when he hears his name. He's bouncy until he has anything from a leaf to a toy/treat in his mouth. It's like a switch throws to a much calmer state of mind. Doesn't mind a leash but looks at it as another game of tug. I'm too old with 4 older (2 large) inside dogs who hate him so he stays outdoors, mostly alone and bored. Not easy to keep separated.. He deserves better. Can assist with Vax/neuter cost. Fee negotiable.

Story
Hi, my name is Zuko! My friends found me on the street just before Christmas and have kept me safe ever since, but now it is time for me to find my furever home! I'm a silly guy who loves to sunbathe, roll in the grass, and lounge near my people. I enjoy walks through the neighborhood and training sessions with lots of yummy treats. I'm very gentle with people, which makes it easy for them to provide care. When people speak, I am eager to figure out what they would like me to do. I loves people so much, it would really be great if you could be home a good portion of the day. I am not a fan of playing with other dogs, and can find it overwhelming. I find cats very suspicious. Kids seem cool, but I haven't spent much time with them. Zuko wants to be the only pet in the home and is eager for more training. If you can give him that, then you’ll have a great companion! Disclaimers- Zuko is heartworm positive, has some dog aggression, and separation behaviors.
