Story
If you are looking for the perfect dog, your search is over. Atticus is a gentle giant. He is appx 6-8 years old, neutered, and the calmest gentleman ever. He is heartworm positive and rescue has started his treatment and will continue to cover after adoption. Atticus is kid dog and even cat friendly! He loves nothing more than to chill with his foster mom. He does play, he likes to "mouth" not bite at all, he just is the sweetest, easiest boy. Even when playing with a mentally handicapped dog in foster home, he is excellent with him. He has excellent house manners, potty trained, doesn't chew and wants nothing more than to have belly rubs and butt scratches. Atticus loves to go on walks, watching the neighbors going on with their lives. If you are looking for the absolutely perfect companion, look no further. Www.rangersreach.org Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Since they are rescue dogs we guess breed of looks. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE HAVE NO BRICK AND MORTAR LOCATION-- WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE, ALL DOGS ARE IN PRIVATE FOSTER HOMES. If we if we think your home might be a good fit, we will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application. We do check references, use social media, been verified, do phone interview/emails, and home check will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.

Story
She is an incredible, loving dog who has been part of my life for the past five years. We’ve been through an absolute rollercoaster together, and every moment with her has been worth it. Unfortunately, due to increased work hours and a recent move to a small apartment, I’m no longer able to give her the space, time, and consistent attention she truly deserves. She has a high-energy, fun, and playful personality, and she thrives when she has room to move around and people who can keep up with her excitement. She barks when she gets excited and can be a little anxious at times, but she balances that with being incredibly affectionate, giving amazing cuddles, and soaking up any love and attention she can get. She has lived with cats before and did great with them. She also gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are friendly. Even in situations where another dog has shown aggression toward her, she has never hurt anyone.

Story
Ms. Stormy has been with us for over a year now- but nothing has dampened this black diamond's spirit. We fear that Ms. Stormy is overlooked because of "black dog syndrome" a phenomenon that is quiet common in shelters. People aren't able to see the sweetness of her features because of her shiny black coat - Ms. Stormy is just as special as any other pup with different colors and despite the fact we are in the year 2025 - people are still apprehensive and superstitious about animals with black coats. Ms. Stormy is someone that will love without apprehension- that wants every stranger to be her friend. She does well with a harness more so than a leash and loves to point things out before you see them. A squirrel about ten feet away? She's there! Stormy is close to our hearts because no matter what - she always has a smile! She loves the outdoors and makes sure she uses the potty away from her food and makes it count when she's outdoors. We think in her past she was probably a daddy's girl :). She's very snuggly when it comes to males.
