Story
Hi, I'm Katniss! Age: Approx. 1 year Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 38 lbs Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever Mix Favorites: Treats, hanging out with my friend Furiosa Energy level: High Training: Will sit for treat Other important info about me: I’m spunky, silly, and have the best infectious smile! I came to the shelter as a stray with my friend Furiosa, who the staff think may be my momma, but can’t say for sure. We do great together, but can be separated into different adoptive homes as well. I appear to do well with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption inquiry through this listing, email mbas@montbelvieu.net, or call us at 281-214-9045!

Baytown, TX
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We first met Dino in the fall of 2021 when our local shelter was over capacity. A shelter employee asked if we could foster him temporarily. At the time, he had already been at the shelter for a few weeks. We were told he was about 2 years old, potty trained, and got along well with other dogs. We decided to foster and ended up adopting him in 2022. Since then, we've taken on demanding full-time jobs, welcomed a child, and gone back to school. Unfortunately, we're out of the house most of the time, and it's become increasingly difficult to give Dino the attention and care he absolutely needs. An ideal home for Dino is one where he wouldn't be left alone for long stretches of time. Someone who is patient, experienced with dogs (especially those with anxiety), and committed to giving him daily companionship, consistent care, and lots of affection. Age: ~6 years old Energy level: Balanced – enjoys both active play and long naps Potty trained

Story
Hi, I'm Gia! Age: Approx. 2 years Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 36 lbs Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Favorites: Treats, doing zoomies in the play yard Energy level: Moderate Training: Knows command “sit” Other important info about me: I was super scared when I first arrived at the shelter, but after the staff here started spending time with me, I realized they are actually really nice and give me lots of treats and pets! Once we are friends, I am the most loyal, goofy, and playful dog. I will probably still be a bit unsure at our first meeting, but I ask that you please be patient with me until I get to know you. I haven’t met any kids yet, so I’m not quite sure if they will be scary to me or not, and I am unfortunately not friendly with other dogs, so I need to be in a home without any canine friends. A quieter, calmer household would probably be what’s best for me. I have not been tested with cats at this time. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption inquiry through this listing, email mbas@montbelvieu.net, or call us at 281-214-9045!

Story
Cole is a very sweet boxer. I bought him from my sister, when he was just 8 weeks old, from her boxer’s litter, which are both pure bred boxer’s. He’s spent his entire life around kids and has always been great with them. Unfortunately, my wife and I are separated and neither of us are in a position where we can keep him, so, I’m hoping to find him a loving home where he won’t feel displaced.

Story
** Please read to the end to learn how to adopt! Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!!   He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin.  We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less.  He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar.  It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.'  He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return.  He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too ! He is good with other dogs and children.  He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun!   If you're looking for a sweet and friendly dog, Gus is the one for you!    Please apply to Foster OR Adopt Gus by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website,  www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org
