Kaikea, goes by Kai, is amazing. He is a big snuggler and an excellent spooner. He is all about the outdoors, loves going for walks and hiking out in the mountains. Just isn't a big fan of water. Loves the challenge of chewing up any toy you give him and is a world champ at tug-o-war. Allows our 18month old to ride him like a pony and never has issues with baby being a little too rough. Kaikea loves all his animals friends, raised with a mini chihuahua and two kittens but settled down with his best friend Duke.

Story
The best part of adopting a rescue dog is when you get to actively be a part of their journey. You get to continue to help a once broken soul learn to trust, watch them regain their confidence, see those frown lines remove from their forehead and make their way to their cheeks from the big beatiful smiles they now wear on their faces. Are you looking to change a life and be that angel for a dog? Meet Jolene. You would never know that this striking brindle beauty was once laying on the side of a very major road, desperately waiting in the same spot for anyone to stop and help. She exudes joy and happiness. She loves attention and will loyally sit at your side just to feel your presence. Top that with some pets, and she will be your best friend for the rest of her life! A loyalty beyond measure. Jolene was found in an area that is not so great for dogs. She likely never had an owner or if she did, was highly probable that she was a backyard dog with very little human interaction. She has learned everything from scratch-- and has done fabulously! Jolene has mastered leash walking and will walk graciouisly next to her person. She is pretty amazing in public places, with her focus to her human. Jolene has been to many social, public stores and beer gardens to show off her good girl manners. She nonchalantly walks through the isles getting oohs and aahs from many admirers. Jolene is gentle and knows how to be a classy lady and not jump up when greeting, she will take treats very softly, and welcomes all pets from any human friends. You can pet her head, touch her tail, rub her belly, tickle her feet. Wanna check out her pearly whites? She will let anyone do that too! Jolene is very independent and self entertains. She knows how to spend time alone in her crate. The best part of her day is when her person gets home. Just ask her to "go kennel" and she will happily obilige. She knows that her person will be home and give her love at the end fo the day, and will be the very best girl in her crate, waiting patiently until you arrive just for that special moment. Her foster mom works a full time job and Jolene is on a great crate routine that will easily transfer into any home. She enjoys toys and bones, and happy to share with her human. Car rides are her favorite. She loves treats-- dehydrated liver makes her melt! She will be at attention and eager to please for a little nibble. She know basic commands such as sit, no, down, up, go kennel, shake. Want a pup that you can take on the road with you? Just open the car door and she will jump right in-- she will comfortably sit quietly on the seat or will jump into a crate if that's how you prefer to roll! She is light and limber on her feet and would make an excellent walking or hiking companion. She is the best of both worlds- young and agile enough for someone athletic and at the same time, super low key and will fit into a lower energy home just as beautifully. Jolene was found wandering with a male canine companion and has been best friends through a chain link fence to two large male pitties that live next door to her foster's home. They run back and forth along the fence line playing with eachother. She would bring her toys to the fence to show them off. It was always freindly, but it's because she felt the safety and security the fence offered. We have been working hard in offering positive experiences, and she has come a very long way but she is still a little unsure of other dogs. Jolene will not lunge, bark or react to any dogs around her but will not do well in an environment where unwelcomed dogs come into her space. It makes her nervous and uncomfortable and she will give a very clear correction. She is very easy to manage and redirects like a dream. She is the type of dog that prefers to have a small safety bubble around her. Due to the challenges and insecurities she is still battling, it would be best for Jolene to go into a home without any other dogs. Jolene has been very fortunate to work with our rescue behavior team that has helped her grow her confidence and learn to be very comfortable in different scenarios. It makes me so proud to see a once nervous girl so confidently hanging out at a brewery and sitting on a complete strangers lap, and being the best behaved dog in the room! Is she perfect? No. Does she have amazing potential to be the very best companion? Heck yes! Anyone that takes a chance on her will be a very lucky person. Once she loves you, she loves you with every molecule in her body and she's not afraid to show it-- in kisses!! Ready to be that person for Jolene? MEET KANYON: SWEET HUGE SQUISHY FACE LOVES KIDS/PEOPLE/TO PLAY PSSSS. DID I MENTION HE KNOWS HOW TO GIVE PAW!! Handsome Kanyon is a special boy ! He has an exceptionally squishy face that you can’t help but want to kiss! This boy is all head and little body lol! Notes from his own coordinator: “I took Kanyon home for a weekend , I have 5 dogs , small to big , and a 2 yr old granddaughter. All he wants to do is play and give you all his attention! He definitely would also love siblings to play with . Once he settles after coming out of the kennel , he will follow you around the whole house lol . If you go outside without him , he will wait for you at the door . Super loyal and friendly ! Did NOT BARK NOT ONE TIME the whole time he was here . He is an AMAZING dog 🐾❤️❤️ Kanyon is not a hyper boy but does have joyful energy in new environments, QUIET in a kennel, and would LOVE to have a semi active family but nothing out of the norm as far as needing exercise. He loves to give hugs to people and greet new people and is SUPER friendly. All he wants is to be loved and a family to call his own. Kanyon is friendly with everyone he meets. He is very affectionate and wants you to know how much he loves you. He loves toys!!! He likes to run in the yard with them. He may need to be in a home with a little older kids just because he LOVES them so much he may smother them with kisses😂 Kanyon is the best running buddy. He will jog right next to you. He has been doing great on leash, right now age 10+ for walking him based on strength. When you sit with him he just gives love and kisses. He looks up at you for approval and love. He’s a big baby. He has NO stranger danger when it comes to meeting new people. He is Such a joyful boy who deserves the love of his very Own family! He will be your BEST friend. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/63f668ea4974853df72a8ea0 Available for adoption in NV, UT, ID, OR, WA and Canada! Meet Iker! He is currently almost 4 months old and a stunningly handsome possible pocket pittie mix. His momma is a petite, low riding big headed girl, but in rescue, the rest can be a bit of a mystery! The litter's mama, Lora is INCREDIBLY sweet, loving, affectionate and is a favorite at the doggy daycare she attends. We are so thankful to have her in our program because it gives us a strong sign of the personalities these pups will have... and she is so sweet, gentle mannered and docile! Iker is playful and sweet and loves to play with other dogs and toys, then cuddle up for a nap. The puppy life! He is a still a baby and will need a patient family that is ready for training, socialization and all of the hard stuff that comes with owning a young puppy. However, he will make up for it with kisses galore! His new family will have to continue potty training, crate training, and basic commands. There is so much potential! Iker is very well balanced for a puppy, but like all puppies will require physical exercise and mental stimulation daily. He is fully vaccinated and will be perfect to take on walks around the neighborhood or meeting up with doggy friends for play dates! Doesn't Iker sound amazing?! Apply today! He loves to cuddle up with his favorite people and is the perfect companion for anyone who wants a furry friend to spend time or has other dogs for him to play with! In addition to being playful and cuddly, Diego is also an incredibly smart pup. He's already mastering basic commands such as "sit" and "stay," and eager to learn more! He'll need patience as he continues his potty and house training, and he loves his crate to relax in and for bed time. His furry foster sibling is showing him the ropes on leash walking and he's quickly catching on! She’s a bit smaller than him and he plays very gently with her and happy to share food and water bowls, too! Diego is very well balanced for a puppy, but like all puppies will require physical exercise and mental stimulation daily.
