Story
This dog is a "Home to Home" dog. Originally adopted from Save-A-Mutt as a puppy, her people are looking for a home for her due to severe allergies of their new child. Interested persons should EMAIL Jennifer@save-a-mutt.or for next steps! In addition - you can find the adoption application at - https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ --- Meet Freyja! Freyja is a loving, goofy, and loyal girl who truly lives for her people. She’s what I like to call a “Velcro dog”—she wants to be by your side as much as possible, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or joining you on your daily adventures. She has an incredible personality—playful, affectionate, and full of heart. Freyja absolutely adores humans and thrives on connection and attention. She’s happiest in a home where she can be included as part of the family and given lots of love. We think older children would be a good fit, or an adult only home. Freyja enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor time, but she’s not overly high-energy—making her a great match for a moderately active home. She’s also very food motivated, which makes her fun to train and eager to learn. Ideal Home: Freyja would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She should not be placed with smaller dogs. She would thrive with someone who is willing to continue working with her on leash skills and provide structure and consistency. Training & Notes: Food motivated and responsive during training Can be reactive to other dogs on leash but improves with guidance Would benefit from continued training and confidence-building Past bite incident involving another dog (no humans involved); details are unknown but believed to be stress-related Separate bite incident involving another dog that initiated the attack on Freyja Freyja is truly a special dog with so much love to give. This decision has been incredibly difficult for our family, and we are committed to finding her the right forever home where she can thrive and be deeply loved. Medical: Freyja is currently recovering from a torn ACL and had corrective surgery. She is currently on Pet Insurance with Embrace and that insurance can be transferred to a new owner. --- Freyja is about 4.5 years old, and pretty much all bully! She's in the 60# range.

Scooby is a resilient boy who had a rough start in life, leaving him with a tough-looking exterior—but don’t let that fool you. His love and personality shine right through. At 4.5 years old, Scooby identifies as a grandpa most days. He’s low-to-moderate energy, enjoys a short walkie, then happily returns to his true calling: professional couch snuggler. 🛋️ He’s done well with the calmer, large dogs in his foster home, but he’s a no-thank-you to small animals. Where Scooby really shines? People. All people. AMAZING with everyone he meets—this boy is a total lover. Scooby is crate trained, potty trained, neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and currently building a very respectable wardrobe. Fashion icon in the making. 👕✨ He’s currently on trials for his sensitive skin and gaining strength through swim and physical training, and is showing great success so far. He’s handled it all like a champ. Scooby has been through a lot, yet remains gentle, affectionate, and full of love to give. He truly deserves the world—and maybe a cozy couch to call his own. 🐾💙

Story
Bella Rose sounds like the name of a sweetheart in a movie and honestly… it fits her perfectly. This girl has one of those soft, angelic faces that immediately makes you trust her, the kind where you look at her and instantly think “awww sweet baby.” Then she starts wiggling her whole little body in excitement to come say hi and it’s pretty much game over for you. Between her happy wiggle butt, adorable freckles scattered throughout her body, and the gentle, easygoing way she moves through life, Bella Rose has this naturally comforting presence about her that just makes people smile. She’s sweet without being over the top, playful without being wild, and has the kind of personality that makes her feel easy to picture in everyday life. The type of dog that quickly becomes part of the routine, part of the family, and honestly… one of your favorite parts of the day. Watch her video and fall in love with her personality: https://youtu.be/5gVC73GkFbA?si=T3mjVOUNB5hfj3aa Bella Rose is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 57 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Bella is honestly the perfect middle ground when it comes to affection. She’s not the type that’s going to follow you into the bathroom, crawl into your skin, or dramatically throw herself on top of you demanding attention every second of the day LOL. But she’s also not distant either. She has this really easy, natural way of showing affection where she’ll come lean into you for pets, curl up beside you on the couch, quietly follow you from room to room, and check in throughout the day just enough to make you feel loved and connected to her. It’s actually such a refreshing kind of companionship. She gives affection in a very genuine, calm way that feels comforting instead of overwhelming. Like she just wants to be part of your life and near her people without needing to be the center of attention 24/7. One thing Bella absolutely does get excited about though? Her toys. Especially balls LOL. Give this girl a tennis ball and she is fully entertained. She loves tossing them around for herself, chasing after them, carrying them from room to room, and happily creating her own little games without needing constant interaction from you. It’s honestly really nice because she has no problem entertaining herself for long stretches of time while you work, clean the house, or just relax nearby. Every now and then she’ll look over at you like, “did you see that?” after making a great catch or dramatic pounce, which somehow makes it even cuter. She has this fun, playful side to her that comes out so naturally with toys, and it’s such a good balance with her otherwise easygoing personality. From what we’ve seen so far, Bella Rose was really sweet with the two kiddos she met that were ages 5 and 8 years old. She was respectful, playful, and happily hung out right in the middle of all the activity without seeming overwhelmed by the running around, playing, or general kid chaos happening around her. One thing we especially noticed was how naturally gentle she was. She wasn’t jumping all over them or being too much, she just seemed genuinely happy being included in the fun and soaking up the attention. Based off the interactions we observed, we do think Bella Rose has a lot of potential to make a really lovely companion for a family with kids in the right home. Bella is dog friendly and has done well with the dogs we have introduced to her so far. She has been with dogs her size and dogs smaller than her as well. When it comes to play time, she is good about matching the energy of the other dogs. She will play when play is invited and will enjoy those relaxing hangout moments too. When she does play, it’s consistent with running around (actually wiggling around), playing games of chase, and with the right dog she’ll engage in more physical type play. Bella has shared affection with other dogs with no issues and has shared treats around other dogs too. In a home, we do believe she would do best in a home with a male dog that is not too playful but not too lazy either. One that is happily right in the middle and one that has a more gentle play style that doesn’t take things too seriously. She would also do best in a home with no cats as well. Bella has shown to be a smart little lady as well and is treat motivated too. She already knows some basic commands such as sit, is crate trained and from what we have seen, she is potty trained too. Bella does pull on a leash and is currently practicing her leash manners and learning how to walk like a lady. She is being gentle lead trained and is already showing so much improvement with her leash skills and not pulling as much when she walks with her gentle lead on. She does great with structured leash walks and we do believe she would be a great companion to take with you on outings, walks around the neighborhood, or even mini hikes with the right handler. Her dream home can look like so many different things because of how adaptable she is. Work from home and want a companion? Bella will happily be there all day for emotional support. Have a family with kids and wanting a companion for your tweens or teens? Bella would love that too. We truly believe Bella would be happiest in a home with a backyard and a semi-active family that enjoys including their dog in everyday life. She’s not an over-the-top, nonstop energy type of girl, but she definitely enjoys having space to stretch her legs, play with her toys, lay out in the sun, and trot around checking out all the smells. She seems like the kind of dog that would thrive with a nice balance of activity and downtime. A family that enjoys walks around the neighborhood, hanging out in the yard, casual weekend outings, and then cozy evenings at home would fit her so well. Bella really just seems happiest when she gets to be part of the rhythm of your life, whether that’s playing fetch in the backyard, supervising while you garden, or relaxing nearby while everyone winds down for the night. Story
Rococo is a sweet, playful little puppy with a big heart and an even bigger love for fun. Around two months old, he is currently thriving in a loving foster home where he is getting all the care, attention, and structure a young puppy needs to grow into his best self. Every day he is learning new things about the world, and every day his confidence and personality continue to shine. Rococo absolutely loves to play. Toys are a big favorite of his, and he enjoys exploring them, tossing them around, and proudly carrying them from place to place like little treasures. He also loves being outside where he can run, explore, and take in all the exciting sights and smells. He has that classic puppy energy where everything is fun, everything is new, and every moment feels like an adventure. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/xJBI_rDFCvk?si=Iuf7Tj6O2Zme-Cnc Even with his playful side, Rococo is also incredibly sweet and affectionate. He enjoys being near people and is learning how comforting and enjoyable human connection can be. After a good play session, he is more than happy to settle in for quiet time, cuddles, and affection. He is still very young, so he is just beginning his journey of learning routines, potty training, and basic manners, but he is showing that he is eager to learn and respond to gentle guidance. As Rococo grows, he will continue developing into his own unique adult personality. Like all puppies, he will benefit greatly from patience, consistency, training, and socialization as he matures. With the right support, he has the potential to adapt well to many different types of homes, whether that includes an active lifestyle, a family environment, or a home with another friendly dog to play with. Rococo is goofy, loving, curious, and full of puppy charm. He is ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless love into the life of his future family. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69dd4b1472b3659793049a4b Questions? Kayne is easy to fall in love with. He is a complete cuddle bug lover boy. Kayne is the type of dog who meets you and immediately makes you his best friend. When I first met Kayne, he immediately came up to me for affection and loved it. He leaned into me for more and more. Kayne is a people lover for sure. If you love a dog that loves you and likes to be snuggled ,then Kayne is going to be the perfect dog for you. To see him in action watch his YouTube video https://youtu.be/QCd67A--mNY?si=raY_OiewEWiTeoYi Kayne is about a year and a half years old , he is a pitbull mix and weighs 66 lbs. He has the prettiest yellow eyes in the whole world, and the cutest pixie ears I think I’ve ever seen. Kayne did very well meeting our other dogs, he met hyper dogs, calm, dogs, and crazy, playful dogs, and he did great with every single one. he didn’t play too much at first just sniffed them and explore the new yard he was in but once he got a play, he played so good. He is a very submissive player and had a great time rolling around. I think he would do best with a medium energy dog sibling. I think Kayne could live great in an apartment or a home . If he is living in an apartment, he would need an active family to help him get some of his young energy out. He is also pretty good walking on a leash. Kayne is extremely kid friendly. His Foster has a four and two year-old nephew and Kayne loves them with his whole heart. He is gentle with them and play with them super well. I think he would do amazing living in a home with kids. He is a good family dog. Cats on the other hand are a little too exciting and interesting for Kayne. He wants to play with them a little too much. Kayne is an amazing dog who would love a family that loves to go on adventures but also loves to cuddle up on the couch and watch some movies. If Kayne is a type of dog you could see living in your home please adopt him now before someone else falls in love with his beautiful eyes! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
There is nothing more that I love than a big boy with a big ole blocky head with the best face wrinkles to match. I can also certainly guarantee that we are thinking the exact same thing. Buster Butters eyes are some of the most captivating, soulful, full of life eyes you have ever seen. The type of golden green eyes that makes most people jealous. Buster Butters is more than his handsome good looks though. He is the definition of happy, loves loves loves people, great with kids, always up for an adventure, smarter than a whip, and loyal to his core! Watch his video and fall in love with this meathead: https://youtu.be/iO11IRT0_dU?si=_99T_ZFWBz3otNz0 Buster Butters is pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 65 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing that is certain with Buster is his love and devotion to people. He has so much of it that you don't even need another dog because his loyalty is equivalent to 5 dogs combined. It's one of the first things I noticed about him. These qualities are what makes him a perfect candidate for being for your one and only. He is dog friendly and can pass other dogs out on a walk and is overall friendly. What would make Buster the happiest, is being your one and only fur baby in the home to soak up all the love and companionship. The level of love, affection, and admiration Buster has to offer is not only associated with adults, but it also extends towards children. Buster has been around kids ages 7 and not only immediately went up to Cash the second he met him but he also was so gentle and immediately wanted to shower him with love. When he first met Cash, he was sitting on the couch and he immediately went in and was leaning all over him in the gentlest way asking him for all the love. It was an immediate connection. We believe Buster would make a great dog for a family with kiddos looking for a big ole softie to play with their kids. To add to Buster's greatness, he is also incredibly smart and treat motivated too. He loves to make people happy and will do anything for a treat. Yes, he loves treats but that's not what drives him. What drives him is his sense of devotion to his person. He was born to make you happy and to please you. Both great qualities to have for learning new tricks and further continued training if you so please. He already knows a handful of tricks already such as sit, shake, and drop it. His house manners are pristine, never getting into things he shouldn't be and is crate trained and potty trained. Even if he did get into something he shouldn't, all you gotta do is call his name and he's already sitting by your side. Buster is a 10/10 good boy! He will thrive with an adopter that will provide him with structure, leadership, and companionship. Buster has a great sense of adventure! He would love to go explore those hiking trails you have pinned on the map, join you for a day trip to the beach, or even going on a camping trip. We see him being such a great adventure buddy that you could almost take anywhere. He is decent to walk on a leash only pulling ever so often when he gets excited and only needs a subtle correction and he's walking like a gentleman again. He would also be just as happy going for a walk in the park or playing a game of fetch in the backyard if you're not feeling up for an adventure that day. He is what we would call medium energy and can be whatever you need him to be. Regardless of what the day looks like, Buster will end every day snuggled up with you in bed, on the couch, or on his own doggy bed, enjoying the rest of a relaxing evening by your side. As far as the type of home he go into, there are a couple of environments for him that we think he would thrive in. We can see him loving living in a condo type household somewhat in the city area, maybe not directly in the heart of the city but on the outskirts. We also can see him thriving in a home in the suburbs with a backyard. He doesn't need the space of a big backyard but we're sure he would enjoy sunbathing and porch sitting with you.
