Story
Meet Sasha – A Loyal Heart in Search of a New Home Hello dear reader — My name is Sasha. I’m a gentle and well-mannered Anatolian Shepherd mix with a heart as warm as the sunbeam I love to nap in. My beloved human recently passed on, and now I’m looking for someone kind (maybe a bit like Mary Poppins?) who might open their home and heart to me. I’m a devoted companion — I’ll give a bark when someone new approaches, just to keep you safe, but once you tell me all is well, I’ll settle down and go right back to lounging peacefully. I’m fully up to date on my shots and in good health. I enjoy company, I am docile and sweet and  I’m also quite content having some quiet time alone if you need to step out. I eat at my own pace and appreciate a full water bowl nearby. Mostly, I’d love a gentle hand, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will check in on me now and then — just to say hello. If you’re looking for a loving, calm, and faithful friend, I’m right here, waiting — With gratitude and tail wags, Sasha (Please contact my caretakers to meet me and see if we might be just right for each other.)   Please reach out to: bill.brandt@asu.edu if you are interested in meeting Sasha.  All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Meet Echo – The Sweetest Deaf Australian Shepherd Puppy! Do you need a darling puppy to bring joy and love into your life? Echo might be just the one! This adorable 12-14 week-old, blue eyed, 18-pound Australian Shepherd is a stunning white and merle boy who looks like he’s purebred. Found dumped on the edge of town, Thankfully, a kind family has taken him in and are fostering him. Echo was likely abandoned because he’s deaf. But don’t let that stop you—he’s a quick learner and has already made incredible progress! He’s well on his way to being potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. His foster family has even started training him with a vibration collar, and he responds beautifully to signals like flipping the porch light off and on to call him back when going outside to potty at night time. Echo is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered and receive his rabies shot when he’s a little older. He’s looking for a family with breed experience and preferably familiarity with deaf dogs to help him thrive. If you’re interested in giving this special boy a forever home, please contact us to learn more about Echo. He’s sure to steal your heart and bring love and joy into your home!If you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At $ 400- 500 Medium & Large Mixed Breed Adult Dogs: $400 plus Medium & Large Pure Breed Adult Dogs or Puppies: $450.00 plus Medium & Large Mixed Breed Puppies: $400 plus Small Mixed Breeds (Puppies & Adults): $450 plus Purebred & Designer Dogs (Puppies & Adults): $500 plus (Fees subject to change) Adopt Today! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Meet Sky, 2 yr old mix, neutered male (Anatolian shepherd and pit-bull is our guess) needs a new loving home. My parents have had him since he was 10 weeks old. He gets along with other dogs and people. My parents are older folks and don’t have the time (work schedules) and energy Sky needs for proper training, consistency and structured exercise. He would be much better off with a couple or single person who knows how to mean business with a neutral demeanor. Sky has resource guarding issues. This can managed with the right training, follow through and neutral calm demeanor. I am a trainer myself and would be willing and happy to work with whomever decides to re-home Sky as a curtesy. Giving him a safe loving and well balanced home would be worthwhile enough as a payment of my gratitude in giving back with my training expertise. Please message or call me if you or someone you know is interested.
