Story
Meet Toby, our St Bernard, Anatolian Shepherd and probably labrador mix young dog. He's relatively large and behaves like a big friendly guard/livestock dog but is only 70lbs. Here is an adoption profile link to a larger selection of photos. If you are on petfinder or adoptapet, you may only be seeing a few of his photos.https://petlover.petstablished.com/pets/share/1637235https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=1637235&name=Toby He is truly a once-in-a-lifetime type of dog. Holder of the coveted but sensationally elusive squirrel killer award (it was a pretty dumb squirrel to be honest).  Toby is a friendly, playful and very affectionate 2-year-old pup. Toby is your typical mountain pup, he is big, he can be loud but he is also well-behaved. He is in a foster home with the founder of the rescue. Toby is happy to live, hang out, play and go on walks with other dogs. He will literally chew on the same toy at the same time as another dog. Toby also knows how to use a pillow like a human. Toby seems well aware of his size and tends to avoid jumping on people unless encouraged, but even then, he does so gently.  Toby has been around small children without any issues, he's happy to vacuum up all of the dropped food. Toby also went on a roadtrip and got to visit white sands national park, he said it was like snow but warm and not edible. Toby would get to a campsite with his foster, go wander around a place he has never been before for 45 minutes (usually covering 2 or 3 miles) and then show back up at the campsite, in the pitch black. He can wander long distances and never seems to get lost, he once lost his foster dad in a forest outside of Santa Cruz, CA. When his dad hiked the 2 miles back to the car, guess who was waiting next to the car. He likes to bark at cows but he runs away from them if they turn towards him. He may have been an outdoor livestock dog at some point but he much prefers soft beds and pillows these days. He can also sleep on a rock when the time calls for it. Toby is patient with other dogs and does not resource guard.  Here is a video of Toby:https://youtube.com/shorts/PI6H-XSV_Xkhttps://youtu.be/x1xPY8SMHmIhttps://youtube.com/shorts/sxJ3YUF-VTIhttps://youtu.be/8pCzpRlzjZshttps://youtu.be/taYc83d26Ichttps://youtu.be/2K8zo-OLQe4https://youtu.be/_BE_jYzJh6chttps://youtu.be/aNEXxgw_4jQ Toby was picked up as a stray and we don't know anything about his past. However, he was a favorite of the shelter staff in Oklahoma. Toby is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, ready for his new Colorado home and lifestyle. He is around 2 years old and weighs 70lbs. His adoption fee is $450. Toby knows just how miraculous a turn his life has taken when he was picked out by Havok’s Wolfpack and he is determined to live his new life to the fullest in the most playful and adventurous way, hopefully, with you. If you are interested in adopting Toby, please submit an adoption application here: www.havokswolfpack.com/adopt If your application is approved, we will contact you promptly.  ##1637235##

Story
I have a question for all your moms out there. How do you do it? Puppies are only with us for a couple months and that’s enough. Amber here and as a young mom, I am ready for a life without my puppies. I’m ready for some me time. This doesn’t make me a selfish girl, I love other dogs and people and I’m even OK with cats. I walk well on leash, don’t jump up and I’m housebroken. I am a calm girl who is trusted to free roam when my foster mom is gone. A home with a yard and another playful dog would be perfect! People say I am smart and have a sweet disposition. Do you have a place in your heart and home for me? If so, please fill out the application and let’s meet. I appreciate you taking the time to read my story love, Amber. If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300.  I am currently fostered in Vail and the rescue is trying to move me to denver so they can finish my vetting and find my forever home. I am available for a foster to adopt currently until I am spayed!  ##1997186##

Story
Mae Anatolian Shepherd/Pyrenees Mix Female 3 years old 93 lbs Hi, I’m Mae! I’m the ultimate companion for all your Colorado adventures, and I’ll curl up with you on the couch for lots of snuggles once the day is over. I’m such a love and I can’t wait to find a forever home of my very own! I’m a calm and easygoing dog with the people I know and love and am very gentle with little people. I enjoy rambling in the snow, camping trips, and hiking, and I’m also great company if you’d rather spend the day reading or working from home. I have an easy going way about me at home and I always love being with my people. I’m also crate-trained, but I don’t usually need one at home because I’m a well-behaved pup. I’m potty trained as well! I do need a home with a fenced yard (and a quieter environment overall) so please no apartments for me please! You can count on me to be your best friend and loyal companion! While I am really comfortable with those I know and love, I am a guardian breed and am naturally wary of new people, especially new people that visit my home. I do best being introduced to new people outside of my home (and even then, I need someone to go slow with me and understand that meeting new people isn’t the easiest for me.) However, I do great with other people and dogs in neutral environments like parks. I’m a very loyal pup to my humans and that sometimes results in me being overprotective to someone outside of my “trust circle” I’d do best in a quieter environment where we don’t have a ton of new visitors and my human doesn’t need or expect me to meet new people a lot in general. I also can get really overwhelmed out of the home where I feel like I need to defend my humans (for example, at a brewery) and I have nipped at new people in those situations. Therefore, I’ll thrive in a home where my human has a quieter lifestyle overall and can consider what situations I will do best in outside of the home. I usually do really well on a leash. But, occasionally I see a dog I don’t like and I am a big girl! So I will need an adopter who is able to manage a big dog on leash when I’m pulling (and a harness is very important for me!) I have done well meeting dogs out and about on walks but I’ve never lived with a dog so I can’t share how I’d do with another dog in the home. I do need a cat free home! Are you ready for the most loyal, loving dog friend? Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you! "PawsCo is committed to helping me thrive with my new family, so they will sponsor up to three virtual training sessions with our training partner GoodPup to help me settle into my new home!"

Gentle Giant Dakota Seeks His Adventuring Crew! 🐾⛰ Hello there, fellow outdoor enthusiasts and dog lovers! Allow me to introduce you to the one and only Dakota. This stunning Anatolian Shepherd puppy may be tipping the scales at a stout 80 lbs already, but he's all sweet squishiness and lovable loyalty wrapped in an adorable furry package. At just 9-10 months old, Dakota is still very much a playful pup at heart. He lives to wrestle with his four-legged pals and keep his human companions active and on their toes with endless games of fetch (or rather, you fetch!). But once he's had his fill of romping for the day, this gentle giant turns into a world-class snuggle bug, content to cuddle up with his people in the evening. Despite his imposing size, Dakota has a heart of gold. He loves kiddos and kitties alike, though he hasn't quite figured out how to be best buds with the feline friends just yet. This good-natured goofball is already a well-mannered house guest, coming crate-trained, leash-trained, and housetrained. The world is still so new and exciting for him, and he can't wait to explore it with his forever family! Out on walks, Dakota's favorite pastime is greeting new people and pups with that signature Anatolian charm. He's not a big barker unless offering mild-mannered warning that danger is actually nowhere to be found. This lovable genius just wants to keep his crew safe from threats like plastic bags being carried to and from the recycle bin. Dakota bushwhacks through life with a childlike enthusiasm and insatiable appetite for adventure. He'd thrive with an active family or pair of roommates living that outdoor-centric lifestyle he craves. A house with a yard for him to sprawl out and soak up the sun between hikes, runs, or retrieving sessions is an absolute must. While Dakota adores humans of all ages, his boisterous size may be a tad overwhelming for big city living. If you've been searching for that larger-than-life companion to roam the trails, stomp through creeks, and embrace the simple joys of just existing in nature alongside, branching out with Dakota will be your greatest adventure yet. This goofy pup can't wait to rendezvous at the trailhead with you! If Dakota is your type of pup please apply at https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/

Story
Cara is incredibly sweet and loves attention, especially ear and belly scratches. She is super shy and a bit skittish until she is comfortable so she will need someone who will be patient with her, especially for the first several days. Cara is also very smart, loves other dogs, and chewing on chew toys. She knows to go potty outside but does not know she shouldn't go inside yet. She likes to know where her human is but is not clingy. She is going to be a fantastic dog!
