hi Peach! This incredible lady is a 4 year Anatolian Shepherd. She was surrendered to our care with another Anatolian when their owner couldn't keep them anymore. She is 106 lbs. Peach is wonderful. She is gentle, sweet and happy. She loves being around people and enjoys lots of pets. She does well on the leash, allows all handling and is generally a very easy going lady. She does great with other dogs. Peach was adopted and then returned after nearly a year in her home when her owner's health began to decline. She will need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4dx tested and dewormed. This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! Rex is looking for a special home. He is part of a group of dogs all coming from the same home where they all lived outside and where very under socialized. We also now know there were occasional fights for food so we are listing him as no other dogs so he can live competition free. He is truly a gentle giant. He is a fish out of water here in the shelter. Everyone is showing him love and attention, but he isn`t sure what to make of that. He is definitely enjoying it. HIs future adopter has to keep all of this in mind and show Rex how great life can truly be. Things another dog finds normal are all strange to Rex. He has learned to walk nicely on leash but must be double leashed just in case something startles him.
