She is a bit underweight, but we know she’ll thrive with lots of love, attention and good food. Ana is very sweet and even a little shy, but she warms up quickly once she gets to know you. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13369Hi there! I'm Danica, I'm named after a racecar driver because I'm fast... at finding treats! 🐕💨Me with my mom and my 11 siblings arrived at OPH in January! I've made lots of friends here, but I'm ready for a forever home. I'm sweet, cuddly, and playful. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and lots of cuddles into your life! See me in action here:Danica ExploringFun things about me:I love to give kisses. I am working on walking great on a leash.I am working on potty training. I know sit and come already! I'm guessed to be an Anatolian Shepherd mix, I am 4.5 months old and weigh 25 lbs. I will be medium to large size as an adult. Are you ready for an adventure, then I am your Girl! Fill out my application soon, I am waiting for you now. I'm microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives . i’m ready to go home with my new family. Could that be you?I'm still a baby and searching for...- Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until I am older. The older I am, the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. - I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. That sounds like fun!

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13359Hello there, I'm (Muhammad) Ali, a puppy with a penchant for boxing! Not that I've ever boxed a day in my life, but I've got a left hook that could knock a tennis ball out of the park. I'm friendly, sweet, playful, and smart. I promise to bring laughter, love, and a bit of mischief into your life. I'm not just looking for a home, I'm looking for a sparring partner. Are you up for the challenge?See me in action here:On the leashI'm a funny, snuggly boy who would be fabulous with a family. I sit when you enter the kennel so I can see what you're going to do and I'm excited when you bring me food or let me go out in the yard to play. I'm doing a good job doing my business out in the yard and if I have to go inside I do use my pee pads in the kennel area.I'm thought to be an Anatolian mixed born on 12/18/23 and I'll be a medium to large size dog when full grown - probably in the 55 to 60 lb range.I'm microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13367Greetings! My name is Serena, just like the tennis champ. Foster mom says I am a champion too – she says she is pretty sure I would take a blue ribbon in the category “Best Pups Available For Adoption on the East Coast of the United States of America.” A ribbon is fine; I just hope it comes with a frozen marrow bone. A pup can dream, and I dream BIG. Would you like to be a part of my dream? Come on in!Foster mom has learned that Serena is:-Super smart – in just the past week she (a) is quickly becoming housetrained and will potty almost immediately on command on regular outings; (b) will sit and is getting better at wait; and (c) is learning not to jump up on people and not to counter surf. -Super sweet and affectionate, and loves to make new friends with humans and other pups. -Great on walks; she loves being outdoors and running free (although she checks back in regularly to make sure foster mom is still there).-Gentle as a lamb, and just as playful. She has coaxed foster mom’s grumpy 10-year old GSD into playing with her which is a gold medal first!-Brave – she generally embraces new experiences and new places with only an appropriate amount of caution.-Loves riding in the car – she settles down and starts to snooze within the first few minutes. Serena just recently transitioned to a new foster home, leaving behind both the only home she had known since birth and one of her siblings. She has struggled with operating solo, including crying when left alone. Foster mom is working to help her develop her independence. She has come a long way in less than a week – see the note on bravery, above – but her new family must be prepared to be patient with her. She has seen a lot of change in a short period of time! Serena is guessed to be an Anatolian Shepherd mix born on December 20, 2023. Based on her mother’s size, she likely will top out in the 50-55 pound range when fully grown. She has not been tested with cats, but has not displayed a high prey drive while walking in the forest. See her in action here:First yard outingOn the leash

Story
Oliver is a Great Dane - Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. On all four legs he is about 30 inches tall and last weighed in at 67lbs. He is in perfect health and has received all shots and vaccinations. He has had medical insurance (w/ PetSmart) his entire life (4 years). He was neutered in 2020. It saddens our family to have to rehome him. Oliver has been such a support for me and my wife over the last 4 years. However my family is growing and relocating- taking him with us is not an option, unfortunately. Oliver is an amazing dog! He has the best personality- he loves to run and play, cuddle, get dressed up, and go on car rides . Oliver travels well; we’ve taken him on long car rides all over the country and out of the country. He is well behaved, but easily redirected if he gets too excited. He is GREAT with kids - we have a two year old who Oliver adores and is so gentle with. He also gets along well with other dogs. We’re looking for family to continue loving him how we do!

She is doing much better and with the right home she will continue her confidence building. She is about a year old and house trained, great on a leash, loves other dogs and NEEDS a fenced in yard. We would prefer an adult only home as she is still afraid of loud noises and lots of commotion. Life happens fast, if you don't stop every once in a while and look around, you might miss it! I came to GDR with my siblings and Mama, who are all adopted now yaaay, and now I'm waiting for it to be my turn to be adopted! Dodger is a happy and excited boy who loves to wag his tail and makes lots of noise, just like his sister! He has a ton of energy to spare and wants to use it running around, playing fetch, or going on long walks. He'll need lots of activity and would be great with another active dog and active kids :) Dodger is a very sweet and polite boy also who loves to cuddle on the couch or bed, or sit down right next to you. Some basic information about Dodger; he is male, Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, and is large-sized (60-99lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
