If you are interested in adopting this dog,  please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name: Kodiak (KOD0821RUSMD)Estimated Breed: Anatolian Shepherd mixApproximate Age: 5 yearsApproximate Weight: approx. 90 lbsCurrently Living at: BoardingAdoption Fee:  $375DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Kodiak! This gentle giant is ready and waiting to find a forever home he can call his own. He is smart, loyal, and absolutely loves people. He would love to be the only pet at home and will need a strong owner who is familiar with the breed. He is a big guy, so he will need plenty of room to run and play. Unfortunately, he is not a fan of other dogs, but has plenty of love for his people. If you are ready for lots of love and bear hugs, Kodiak is the one for you!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well-socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.  Foster ProgramFoster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me! Make a tax-deductible donation today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it. K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survives with your generous support! For more information on K-9 Lifesavers, or to view a complete listing of all our Adoptable Dogs, visit our website at .Please “like” our Facebook Page for the most current events and new dogs.Thank you for considering a rescue dog! ##1522672##

Story
Shane….is a handsome 10 month old Anatolian Shepherd mix that is 80 pounds of goofball youth and innocence.  He was originally owned by a  young man who didn’t have a clue on owning such a big and imposing dog.  He tied Shane out and that was his way of owning this gorgeous and needy dog.  Shane needs a good foster or an adopter to shape him in to the spectacular dog that God created him to be.  Yes, he is big…. And a bull in a China shop at times, but with a training knowledgeable home, he will be brought to a discipline and training place with fabulous results.   He will be a 100 pound dog ultimately and  gorgeous. Please offer your help to foster at least, if you cannot adopt.   Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you want to adopt or to foster.  He needs some solid help for a short time in foster care or a direct adopt.September 25, 2023, 8:28 pm

Story
James here! I'm just another friendly dog at the Shelter looking for a good fur-ever home. My owner dumped me and left me all alone to fend for myself. I act like an inside/ outside dog, so I wouldn't do well all alone. So, the Shelter took me in to find me a better owner, one who deserves my love and affection! I love car rides, and I can shake, sit and load-up. I also like my toys. I am playful, fun and not aggressive at all. Hope to see you soon! I am being fostered in TN right now but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
