Story
Meet Quinn (“Quinny Girl” or “Princess”) 🐾 Quinn is an adorable, big-hearted puppy with a playful and affectionate personality. She loves attention, cuddles, and being close to her people. Quinn enjoys walks but is just as happy lounging around and relaxing with her family. She’s a big puppy who thinks she’s about 10 pounds and will happily try to cuddle like a tiny lap dog! She also loves food and treats, which makes her easy to motivate and train. Overall Quinn is sweet, low-maintenance, and full of personality. Important: Quinn has a companion dog named Tye, and they have been living together. Our hope is to find a loving home that may be open to adopting them together, as they are very comfortable with one another. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, especially for our children, and we would feel much more peace knowing they can stay together.

Story
Meet Misty! She's a smart lady who is smart as a whip! She's crate trained, mastered many commands (sit, down, off, mat, enough, go to your room, here, all done- more than most kids :). She loves to run, play fetch and be wherever you are! She's a year and a half old, and was lucky enough to have professional training donated to help her find her forever home. Whoever adopts her will receive at least one free hand off session from her trainer to help her transition go perfectly! Her ideal family would be somewhat active (she needs to run around a yard at least a few times per day). She gets along well with other dogs, but calmer dogs are best. Misty loves to play, but she can get very excited if the other dog is too energetic! She would do well with older children. Younger children and cats would require a lot of supervision. Her trainer thinks she would be a great agility dog, but she is smart enough to do anything you want to train her to do! She will require some active parenting to teach her the rules of your house, because she is so smart, she may try to make her own activities if nothing fun is provided! She's potty trained now (we had some overnight accidents until she started going in her crate at night). She's a great dog with a good head on her shoulders, and she wants to know if you are the one for her! $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Hi there! My name is Rufus, and I’m a big, sweet puppy with an even bigger heart. I was rescued by the wonderful humans at K-9 Lifesavers from the TN/VA area, and now I’m on the lookout for my forever family. I’ll admit, when I first arrived everything felt a little scary—especially that funny leash thing. But guess what? In just one day I went from being nervous about it to happily walking along with a 9-year-old! Turns out I’m a quick learner and pretty brave after all. One of my favorite things in the world is kids. I adore them! If your home has little humans who want a loyal buddy to play with, cuddle with, and grow up with, I’m your guy. Do you like adventures? Because I LOVE car rides. Road trips, errands, drives to the park—you name it, I’m ready to hop in and ride shotgun. I’m still a young pup, which means I’m in my prime learning age. With a little guidance, training, and lots of love, I’ll grow into an amazing companion. I’m eager to learn, eager to please, and I can’t wait to be part of a family who will help me become the best dog I can be. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, adventure-ready pup who loves kids and is ready to learn, I might be the perfect match. Apply today to meet me—I can’t wait to find my forever home! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Dolly has large Great Dane genes grafted onto a somewhat smaller body. Not that anyone would ever call her small, but you would say she's a manageable size, which is perfect. If you love the Dane look, but aren't sure you could handle a full size model, we have Dolly waiting for you. She is currently only 60 lbs., but that is a bit deceiving, as she is very underweight. We would like to see at least 15 lbs. more on her ribs and we are working on it. She is now getting top quality groceries, something she has never had before. Still a young dog, at only about 2 years old, she is in the process of learning about how to deal with the world around her and she is learning fast. Her foster has some comments to help you understand this 'dog-in-progress. 'She’s nervous around new people and things. She does warm up after a bit. Her initial reaction to people that she doesn’t know is to low growl. She is trying to tell everyone to give her a moment to process the new information. I don’t recommend a house with cats or small animals. She’ tries to chase down all the birds,  and squirrels when we’re outside. I’m fairly confident her life prior to rescue wasn’t a good one. It's heartbreaking seeing a good dog trying to cope with a world she was never shown. UPDATE:I have had her for a month now, and she is learning! I took her to the vet today, and while she was nervous, she did not growl. So there has been improvement on that aspect. She wasn’t super outgoing and wanting everyone’s attention, so definitely stand by the slower to warm up to strangers. I highly suspect she’s been abused. She is highly intelligent and learns new things really fast.  She really has the potential to be an excellent dog, and wants to be loved and please her person. MORE UPDATE: Since being here at my house over a month now I have some new insights into her. She is not dog friendly with all dogs.  She's OK with my male dog, but not so happy with my female.  I've been working on getting her to ignore people on walks and she's doing better. She doesn't like it if strangers get to close when we are out.  In the yard. she's definitely going to need at least a 6 foot fence to keep her safely secured.  I will say, she is house trained and does let you know when she needs to go out. She also does very well in her kennel. She is very smart, and can learn things pretty quickly. She has all her shots and is ready and waiting for the person or family who like bigger dogs, but aren't ready for an actual Goliath. Dolly is a good girl! She is hoping you will want to help her be a good dog and come for her soon.   If you are interested in Dolly, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2026, 3:44 pm

Reese is the total package—sweet, happy, and full of love! This beautiful girl adores hugs, belly rubs, and being close to her people. She has great leash manners, making walks a breeze, and strikes that perfect balance between playful energy and laid-back couch potato vibes. Reese gets along with everyone she meets and does wonderfully with other dogs, making her an easy addition to just about any home. She came into rescue pregnant and did an amazing job raising her puppies—now that they’ve all found their forever homes, it’s finally her turn. Reese is more than ready to be someone’s baby, soaking up all the love she’s been giving. Could she be your perfect match?
