Story
Meet Roo Roo is an affectionate, couch-loving girl who bonds deeply with her people and thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and enjoys the simple pleasures in life—snuggling on the couch, ear and face rubs, and flopping onto her back with her feet in the air while she happily chews on a toy. Roo loves getting outside and going on walks, especially when she can explore new trails. She walks well on leash, sits politely for her harness, and knows her basic commands. With her people, she is sweet, attentive, and very loving. Roo does have some challenges that are important to be upfront about. She is reactive to other dogs while walking on leash and will need continued, consistent training to help her navigate those moments. Because of this, Roo needs to be the only dog in the home and would do best with an adopter who understands leash reactivity or is willing to work with a trainer to support her ongoing progress. In the right environment—one where her needs are understood and respected—Roo is a loyal, affectionate companion who truly shines. She’s looking for a home that values connection, routine, and patience, and in return she’ll offer plenty of love, snuggles, and happy trail adventures. If you’re searching for a devoted best friend and are ready to commit to helping Roo continue to grow, she may be the perfect match for you. Story
Osage is an energetic and playful dog. He has been with us since he was a puppy. We are looking for a new home for him because we have not been able to train him well enough around our 3 young children and are having difficulty spending the time with him that he needs to get exercise and enjoyment in life. He does fine with an adult but has some anxiety issues and can lash out and nip/bite in certain situations. He is a bit too jumpy and over excited when meeting people and he means well but can be a bit tough to calm down around people. All that said he would make a great dog for someone who has the time and experience to work on a few behavioral issues. He is well crate trained, he is mostly house trained (I don't leave him unattended for more than a few minutes) but can spend hours in the house when the kids aren't around. He knows some basic commands sit, lay down, shake, and stay (somewhat).
