Story
Meet Roo Roo is an affectionate, couch-loving girl who bonds deeply with her people and thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and enjoys the simple pleasures in life—snuggling on the couch, ear and face rubs, and flopping onto her back with her feet in the air while she happily chews on a toy. Roo loves getting outside and going on walks, especially when she can explore new trails. She walks well on leash, sits politely for her harness, and knows her basic commands. With her people, she is sweet, attentive, and very loving. Roo does have some challenges that are important to be upfront about. She is reactive to other dogs while walking on leash and will need continued, consistent training to help her navigate those moments. Because of this, Roo needs to be the only dog in the home and would do best with an adopter who understands leash reactivity or is willing to work with a trainer to support her ongoing progress. In the right environment—one where her needs are understood and respected—Roo is a loyal, affectionate companion who truly shines. She’s looking for a home that values connection, routine, and patience, and in return she’ll offer plenty of love, snuggles, and happy trail adventures. If you’re searching for a devoted best friend and are ready to commit to helping Roo continue to grow, she may be the perfect match for you. PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website greenmorerescue.org. Please read dog's bio carefully before applying. Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. Looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love every single day? Allow us to introduce Kelly, a stunning girl with a heart full of affection and a spirit that lights up every room she enters. And SPEAKING of showers.... SHE LOVES THE WATER :) Kelly is a love bug through and through. One of her favorite things in the world is giving warm, gentle hugs. Lean in, and she’ll nestle right into you, as if to say, “You’re my person.” She absolutely adores being close to her humans, and there’s nothing she enjoys more than curling up beside you after a day full adventures. Scratches? Yes, please! Behind the ears, under the chin, or right at the base of her tail—Kelly is always up for a good scratch session, and she’ll reward you with the sweetest look of pure bliss. Kelly is the kind of dog who will quickly become your shadow—in the best way. She’s loyal, calm, and always eager to be part of the action, whether it’s a quiet evening at home or a walk around the neighborhood. She thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where she gets plenty of attention, affection, and quality time with her people. Story
Current Location: Parsonsburg, MD Meet Black Beauty: A Stunning Great Dane Ready for the Right Match At 95 pounds and 2 years old, this stunning Great Dane is exactly what his name promises: absolutely beautiful. With his sleek black coat and commanding presence, Black Beauty is a head turner who embodies everything magnificent about this gentle giant breed. Black Beauty has a rambunctious play style that's full of energy and enthusiasm. He needs other dogs who are able to read his cues and interact well with his spirited approach to play. The good news? He's lived successfully with several other dogs, kids, and even cats, showing that with the right companions and environment, he can thrive in a multi pet household. This active boy would be best in an environment where he has space to run and play. He needs regular exercise to burn off his energy and keep him happy and balanced. Black Beauty also loves puzzles and things that use his brain power, showing that he's not just physically active but mentally engaged as well. A Great Dane who can think and problem solve is a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys interactive training and enrichment activities. Due to his size and exuberance, Black Beauty would likely do best in a home without small children. His enthusiasm and large frame could be overwhelming for little ones, even though his intentions are purely loving. Black Beauty is waiting for someone who knows and loves the Great Dane breed, someone who understands their unique needs and incredible hearts. He needs a companion and guide who can provide him with structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and the love he deserves. If you're experienced with large breeds and ready for a stunning, intelligent boy who will fill your life with loyalty and companionship, Black Beauty is ready to meet you.
