Story
Oso is a head turner! A beautiful coat of fur, hazel eyes, and 100 lbs of LOVE! If you are looking for a big dog who is already well mannered, look no further. He’s a gentle giant who likes his independence, and has experience living in a house with other children and pups! He LOVES affection, tummy rubs and cuddles. Volunteers have said on two different occasions that after taking him out for a walk, they were laughing! With such a large body, he is the complete opposite- gentle, calm and soft spoken. His previous owner says that he can be left alone for long periods of time without accidents, and is very smart. He knows “Ven” for “Come” in Spanish, and we have seen him pick up on other commands quickly like Sit.Oso is laid back and does his own thing. We think that he is a low maintenance pup who just wants to give love and cuddles. If this sounds like what you have been looking for, we hope you come into AAC and meet our gentle giant, Oso!

Story
Meet Cairo! Cairo is a smart pup and quick learner. With some positive reinforcement and consistency, Cairo will thrive in a loving home. He already has some basic training under his belt and is house-trained, making him an excellent candidate for anyone looking for a canine companion who`s ready to settle right in. He would be over the moon with a spacious backyard to romp around in (and chase his tail), but what he craves most is quality time with his people. Whether it`s fetching a ball, going for a run in the park, or simply curling up next to you on the couch for a cozy cuddle session with big snores, he`s always up for any kind of activity that brings him closer to his humans. If you`re searching for a furry friend who will bring endless smiles, laughter, and an abundance of love into your life, Cairo could be the perfect match for you.

Story
Manu, the beautiful Malinois mix, is a quiet and sensitive boy with soul-piercing eyes. He is very shy and timid with people, but with lots of love and patience, he is learning to trust humans and his confidence grows every day! He gets along sweetly with other dogs, he has made several friends at the shelter and he LOVES to play and romp with them in the play yards. Manu has enjoyed several shelter breaks with amazing PAWS staff and volunteers, where he learned to relax and enjoy being in a home environment. Here are some notes from his foster families, for potential adopters to consider: "Manu is the easiest houseguest! He mostly keeps to himself, he is very independent and prefers to calmly observe people doing people-things. He adores our other dogs, he is a respectful and peaceful member of the pack. He is also great around our livestock and horses; absolutely no desire to bark or chase. While he does not particularly crave or demand human affection, he will accept gentle petting and can easily be handled once you earn his trust. Manu is also housebroken, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He appreciates always having access to the yard, he comes and goes freely through a doggie door. Being outside in the fresh air definitely helps him relax and calm his mind. He also takes refuge in quiet spaces around our house, such as his kennel bed or under the kitchen table. Manu is the most low-maintenance dog ever, he is so well-behaved and he's perfectly happy just doing his own thing. We think Manu will absolutely thrive in a quiet & low-traffic home, ideally with another canine friend to show him the ropes. He also will need a very gentle and patient adopter, as it may take some time for Manu to settle in and feel safe in his new home.

Story
Let me introduce myself - My name is Deuce. I'm part Great Dane, part Black Lab and 100% goofy! Play time is the absolute best, especially with other dogs with similar play styles. I love going on adventures, like hiking, exploring, and car rides - yes please! I've been told I'm a bit of a sun-worshipper - who doesn't enjoy a good nap, soaking up some rays?!?! I play nicely with my stuffed toys and even share nicely with my canine friends. If I get bored while alone, I will find something to keep me busy, so I much prefer to have a human or canine companion. I'm treat motived and know some basic commands, like sit and down. I enjoy learning new commands and skills, I may not be the fastest learner, but I am a thorough learner. Deuce has been at the shelter since August 2021 - he is so ready for his forever home. Deuce has a little extra in his swagger, kind of a "John Wayne" walk. Occasionally you'll catch him skip a beat in his gait or he might easily trip, but it certainly doesn't slow him down for walks, jogs, or play time. If anything, it makes him even more interesting and endearing. Deuce may chase cats that run but may be able to co-exist with cats that stand their ground. Mostly he just wants to play with them. Deuce can be a little unsure around new people so he will need a patient adopter that allows him to get to know new people at his pace. Most importantly, Deuce is loving, loyal and will melt to the ground when doted on - he will make a truly wonderful companion and keep you smiling from all his silly antics!

Story
This handsome mastiff mix is Bono, and he is such a friendly boy! Even though he is 4+ years old, he is truly just a puppy at heart with a very gentle and affectionate nature. With his expressive eyes and loyal disposition, Bono is adored by all who meet him, whether they be humans or his fellow canine companions at the shelter. He plays so nicely with other dogs, and he enjoys exploring the trails with his favorite PAWS volunteers. Housebroken and well-behaved, Bono will seamlessly transition into any home environment. He has impeccable leash manners and he's a joy to take on walks, whether it's sniffing his way down the trails or strolling calmly through a neighborhood. Bono also adores children, and his kind and patient demeanor make him perfectly suited for families with little ones. Come say hello to this big guy, he can't wait to meet you!
