Story
Meet Marley, a young cattle dog mix who is equal parts sweet and sassy!  Marley is a very expressive pup who wears her heart on her sleeve. She’ll let you know exactly how she feels, whether she’s showing you affection by climbing in your lap and looking longingly into your eyes, or letting the other dogs in her foster home know that’s her toy with a commanding bark. Some might call her a wee bit bossy, but we just think she’s a natural-born communicator.  She can also be very demure and almost annoyingly sweet. She gets along great with all the dogs in her foster home.  Marley turned six months old at the beginning of October. Her breed results showed that’s she’s an Australian Cattle dog mixed with some pit bull, Great Pyrenees and German shepherd. She weighed in at around 35 lbs at 6 months old. She still has some growing to do, of course, and will likely be in the 50-70 lb range when full grown. Marley is highly food motivated and goes to her crate and waits when she knows it’s time to eat. Her internal clock doesn’t skip a beat  — or a meal! She’s very smart and highly trainable. She’s potty trained and crate trained. She often puts herself to bed, going in her crate when she’s feeling cranky and has had enough of the day.  Marley enjoys going on a walk every morning with her foster mom, and she would love a home where a daily walk is part of the routine. She does great on a leash, often looking back to check in with her human. She mostly ignores other dogs in the neighborhood and always wags her tail for passing humans.  Every person who spends a few minutes with Marley is truly smitten. Her charming personality and puppy dog eyes have won over many hearts. She’s just waiting for the right family to see her and fall in love. Story
Meet Clark! Clark is an adorable and sweet Blue Heeler that is approximately 3-5 years old. He has typical dense heeler fur that he loves to have you scratch. He loves attention and can be ok with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He has been exposed to cats and will leave them alone. He is not recommended for homes with small children because he can be protective of his food, treats, and people. He is overall just a sweet, cuddly, friendly, and fun little guy once he warms up to his person / people. It will take time for him to adjust in his new home so his new people need to be patient and loving. If you are looking for an only dog to be your bestest snuggle buddy, please submit an application at forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any potential adopter must meet him here.
