Story
Meet Izzy! She is a beautiful girl with soft, medium length, fuzzy, fur. Izzy is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. She would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep her from getting bored. Most of all she just wants to be with her family. She is house trained and crate trained. Izzy loves car rides, neighborhood walks, and relaxing with her people on the couch. Izzy does well with other dogs, when introduced properly. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this sweet girl and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . Izzy is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. Story
Meet Koda, a 1-year-old Heeler mix! Koda has reached her mature weight of around 50 pounds, and she sports a short white and black ticked coat. Koda is a very sweet dog who came into our care with 6 tiny puppies that she was thrilled to nurture. She does well on a leash and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Koda is a very calm and well-mannered dog who loves attention. She is very loving and will follow you around wanting pets. Adopt Koda and let her fill your life with love. (ME, 10/5/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.October 22, 2024, 6:33 pm

Story
Russell is a sweet, loving dog with a quirky side. He's a cattle dog by breed so he's very hyper and can be nippy especially w/ other animals. He's always lived with other dogs and has rarely become aggressive, but when crowded or shown aggression has become aggressive. He loves to be outside and explore his environment. He would be a good hiking buddy and has also ran with horse riding groups in the past and did really well with that. He likes to snuggle, but doesn't want to be picked up or grabbed. He's house trained and generally will notify if he needs to go out to use the bathroom. There have been rare accidents, but he really does try to alert that he needs to go out. He knows some basic commands like sit/lay down/stay as well. Generally he's a good loving dog. Just a bit hyper/quirky and not great with small kids. He's never attacked a child, but doesn't do well if he's cornered/chased so if he would regularly be exposed to small children that's not ideal.
