Story
Hi there, I'm Uno! I'm 5 years old, though I'm still full of energy and love. My life hasn't been easy - I was surrendered when my owner left me behind, but I'm not letting that keep me down. I'm a happy guy who LOVES people and other dogs! I'll happily run around and play with my dog pals all day. But, cats? Not my thing. I've got a high prey drive (thanks, cattle dog genes!), so I need to stay away from them. My absolute favorite thing in the world is playing fetch! Toss me a ball, and I'll bring it right back to you for another round. After a good play session, I'll gladly flop down beside you for some well-deserved scratches - I really do love affection! I'm looking for a forever home, someone who will appreciate my loyal heart and energetic spirit. I promise to fill your life with fun, love, and lots of playtime!

Story
Piper is 9 years old. She has matured from the hyper puppy with unending energy to a homebody who loves to be with her people. Piper would jump quickly to go for a walk or a couple runs of fetch in the back yard. We have never intentionally fed her from the table but she is a great Roomba for our three kids. She is well trained, but will always bark at the Amazon trucks. Loves to cuddle up on the couch. She has been sweet with all three of our children since their births but may leave the room if they bother her too much. She is loyal and very affectionate to those who appreciate & love her. She will do great with someone who wants a companion and loving presence around your home.

Story
Lilly is a beautiful 2 year old cattle dog mix. She was abandoned at our vet's office about six months ago and when efforts to get her owners to return for her failed, they asked us to help her find a home. She is currently still living in the kennel at the vet and we would love to see her in a home. We have tested her with other dogs and she was amazing with them - polite, calm and friendly. She has done well with every person she has been introduced to as well. We have no history of how she is in a home environment but she has appeared housebroken when visiting our office for the day and is calm and well behaved. She is a great medium size and medium energy level and very smart.  Lilly was spayed and vaccinated by our vet and her adoption fee is $150.  ##2172302##

Story
My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Meet Major! I love this dog! Major is an adorable Cattle Dog mix who is approximately 1.5 years old and currently weighs 45 pounds. He was found on the side of the road with his two brothers in south Texas near the border of Mexico. The puppies were starving, covered with fleas and ticks and were just in terrible condition. Thankfully a private rescuer was able to help these puppies and get them into our care. Major is happy, playful and very smart boy! He loves everyone he meets and is always ready for adventure! He has the best time playing with his toys and enjoys romping around the play yard with the other dogs in his play group. He loves getting attention and affection will make a very loving companion. Major has fun adventurous personality, which would make for a great hiking, running or agility buddy and we can really see him doing well growing up in just about any family environment. Here is a fun short additional video! https://youtu.be/eYqujJO3800?si=hLN2BDheQHFTxwJR Major loves the water! https://youtu.be/-VIGthWotq8?si=1yXS-TidmR_-Y8Ux Major is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St. Augustine, Florida on December 21st, with approved application! The adoption fee is $400 and includes transport fee. UPDATE! Major has almost completed his Chagas protocol! He just needs follow up blood test on December 26th and one more 30 days later to confirm he is negative! This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
