Story
Hi there, I’m Buddy - an almost 2-year-old American Blue Heeler with a gentle heart and a thoughtful mind. I can be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, I become your loyal shadow—loving, devoted, and eager to connect. I’m great with other dogs, but I’ll be honest… cats and chickens? Yeah, those are a little too fun to chase, so a home without them is best for everyone involved. I’m a careful observer who likes to take in the world before jumping in. If you appreciate a companion who’s sensitive, smart, and always quietly watching your back, we’ll be a perfect match.

Story
Rippon is the best boy and I am tearing up just starting to describe him. I adopted him in California to be a "guard dog" at my little property. I needed a bigger character that may give intruders a second thought before crossing my boundaries. He does that, then greets everyone with such glee it's kind of embarrassing. He was raised to be tolerant of all animals, does not like but will share food with chickens. He helps herd my goats and horses when I need an extra pair of hands. I made a HUGE move to Florida and my dream of owning a homestead here with my son and his family has come to a quick and surprising close. My new community will not accept him because of his look as written in their by-laws. So I am looking to rehome this beautiful soul. My buddy. An option is to care for him for possibly 1 year while I find different accommodations- I can pay a small monthly fee for overhead. Must be located near me with secure fencing. Please do not hesitate to call!

Story
Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. She is available for transport to St. Augustine, FL on December 20, 2025. Transport fee is $150. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. For more information, please review here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/chagas If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip *The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance*
