Story
I got Buddy from the Houston Humane Society shelter. He’s 3 years and 3 months I dealt he would need to be a home that is experienced with dogs with behavioral issues He’s a very sweet dog, pretty chill and very smart and playful but it seems he wasn’t socialized early on and so he’s very unpredictable. It’s hard for him to socialize. I’m not experienced in dogs that have behavioral issues but when he spent some time at his dog trainer, he was perfect because the trainer knew how to handle him. Buddy is reactive and it can cross to aggressively if he’s not handled well but the trainer do say that with the right training he would stop. I just don’t have the knowledge He also does this thing where he smiles showing his teeth, very cute

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucky Irish Trio Looking for Their Forever Homes!   Meet Tadhg - Pronounced  Tie-g Three adorable siblings arrived at Pet Rescue By Judy on St. Patrick’s Day, so it only felt right to give them all charming Irish names! Full of life and personality, these pups are ready to bring a little extra luck—and a lot of love—into their future families. Approximately five months old, these pups are believed to be a mix of hound and heeler (Australian Cattle Dog). While we don’t have confirmed information about their parents, we were told they share these breeds—and based on their energy levels and personalities, it certainly shows! We expect them to grow into medium-to-large dogs, likely reaching 60 pounds or more when fully grown. These siblings came to us thanks to a kind individual who rescued them from a difficult situation. While their past is a bit of a mystery, their bright, happy spirits show they’re ready to leave it behind and focus on a future filled with love and adventure.  Each of these pups is energetic, playful, and eager to explore the world. They would thrive in active homes with individuals or families who enjoy the outdoors, whether that’s hiking, long walks, or simply spending time playing in the yard. Their intelligent and lively nature means they’ll also benefit from continued training and enrichment. Because of their expected size and energy level, a securely fenced backyard is required to give them the space they need to run, play, and grow. Important Information for New Puppy Parents   Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.   We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.   **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 20, 2026, 11:59 am

Story
Sadie is a mature 10 year old cattle dog mix girl who loves her humans and would love to be the one and only queen of your castle. She is housebroken and a very well behaved pet in the home. She is a typical cattle dog and has displayed some herding behavior towards guests when not properly introduced into the home. Her ideal home would be a low-key quiet environment with no small children and without a ton of company/visitors. Prior herding breed/cattle dog experience a huge plus. She is selective with her dog friends, preferring calmer, more polite dogs and not loving really overzealous dogs.  ##2704620##

Story
🐾 Meet Freddy! (4 yrs old, Cattle Dog/Shepherd Mix)We rescued Freddy from the streets as a 4-month-old pup and love him dearly. However, our busy schedules mean we can no longer give him the time he deserves. We want him to thrive in a home built for his needs! The Good Stuff: Freddy is fully crate trained, highly obedient, sweet, and fiercely loyal. Once he knows you, he is the most affectionate companion you could ask for.His Needs:Space: He is a high-energy working breed and needs a home where he can run outside a lot.Experience: Due to his breeds, he is reactive and naturally skeptical of new people and dogs at first. It takes a seasoned dog person to confidently manage those initial interactions. We are looking for an experienced owner who has the time to dedicate to this wonderful boy. Letting him go is heartbreaking, but we know the right partner is out there for him! Reach out to learn more.

Story
Meet Phoenix- The bravest little fighter you will ever meet. This sweet girl has a heart as big as her smile. She adores people, loves other dogs, and greets everyone like they’re already her best friend. Despite surviving a terrible injury when she was shot, leaving a pellet lodged in her spine, she hasn’t let it dim her spirit one bit. She now uses a wheelchair to zoom around—and trust us, she can keep up with the best of them! Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Every day she shows just how strong, joyful, and loving a dog can be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and a reminder of what true courage looks like, she’s your girl. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $350 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org. ##2492112##
